| I've been meaning to write this for a while. About five years ago, when all of this started, I used to buy from a guy named Shannon in Sherman Texas. The guy never had an address, always a PO box. In the beginnning, the guy was great. Reliable, fast, and always communicative. Near the end of his first eBay account, howver, things got very ugly. He didn't answer any emails, everyone got stiffed, and I felt I had just dodged a bullet since I got my stuff just before the big rip off.
Then came the second guy in Sherman. Again, just a PO box. I think he was still using the same name but different seller handle. Same thing all over again. This account lasted about two years, and then he sailed off into the sunset with numerous payments and no minis for the people who had bid. Again, I somehow managed to avoid being robbed.
Then I finally got stung. Bought from yet another guy in Sherman (this time no name, just seller handle and po box) who eventually ripped off hundreds (myself included). The list of people he shafted is long and the complaints numerous. I have a very strong feeling it was the same guy.
I have vowed never to buy anything from that part of Texas, mainly because this shape-shifting thief who has rinsed and repeated so many times now. Anyone else had a bad experience with Sherman Texas? | | Successful trades with: Kumag, Darkfather, Spikegif, Jeff Wilder, Smetzger, SchoolyD, Sttmxn (x4), Shadowlord, Zaxdragon, Greyone, qillan divra (x2), Unearthed Arcana, tomas, Iyceman, Jscifert, Azraelkain, Rav950, S1n50, Japakar, Ghendar, DNDJunkie, Oryan77, Carlson

| Jotoge Games. That was the name. Yeah, I think others should check on its current status. Out of business, and hundreds of negative responses before he closed up shop.
In the future I think the only way to track him will be through a Sherman Texas po box. Otherwise, people will be set up by him again and again. | | Successful trades with: Kumag, Darkfather, Spikegif, Jeff Wilder, Smetzger, SchoolyD, Sttmxn (x4), Shadowlord, Zaxdragon, Greyone, qillan divra (x2), Unearthed Arcana, tomas, Iyceman, Jscifert, Azraelkain, Rav950, S1n50, Japakar, Ghendar, DNDJunkie, Oryan77, Carlson

| Jotoge Games is one incarnation of this yahoo. There is another name... it escapes me at the moment, but I will remember and come back and edit this thread.
I think the guy's name is Shannon, too.
Edit: Fantasy Quest.

| | Avoid this seller at all costs. You may do well at first but you're playing with fire if you keep buying from this guy. | Now, the last time I knew, he was running his scams out of a brick and mortar game store name Fantasy Quest.
The phone number for the store is (903) 868-1488. Shannon is the guy who runs the place, I think. When confronted with several... ahem... FIRM phone calls, you usually get your minis.
Ultimately, everyone who has ever been screwed over by this guy should get together and contact the BBB. If he is using his brick and mortar storefront to run online scams, you should be able to get the BBB to shut his arse down.

| | I made a purchase from Jotoge games (running out of Fantasy Quest in Sherman Texas) for minis back in February. At the time, Jotoge had a good feedback rating. I did not receive my purchases, and after my emails went ignored, I noticed that dozens of people were experiencing the same problem. I made a claim through PayPal and ultimately received a refund. I reported the vendor to ebay. I suspect others were doing the same because shortly after Jotoge's account was suspended. If I recall correctly, around 80 people did not receive their items. Speaking only for myself, I would be very cautious about any Sherman, Texas purchase in the future, and I am now much more attentive to feedback ratings when buying. | | My Trades/References

| Never had a problem with the seller from Sherman TX. I have avoided him since he became Jotogee Games (or whatever the name is), but I did buy a few mini's from him prior to that name change and always had no problems.Â

| | Very few had problems when each of his seller names were new. He starts off strong, then stiffs everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, just before he changes to a new handle. The only way to track him is by the address of Sherman, Texas. If however you feel he's trustworthy, go take a look at Jotoge's last three or four hundred comments before he retired that name. | | Successful trades with: Kumag, Darkfather, Spikegif, Jeff Wilder, Smetzger, SchoolyD, Sttmxn (x4), Shadowlord, Zaxdragon, Greyone, qillan divra (x2), Unearthed Arcana, tomas, Iyceman, Jscifert, Azraelkain, Rav950, S1n50, Japakar, Ghendar, DNDJunkie, Oryan77, Carlson

| I got badly stung by this guy (for 2 full sets of the last expansion), and due to some very unclear policies from PayPal and eBay I only ended up with a partial refund.

| Thanks for extra info.
Also for those unaware, you should check ebay sellers on www.toolhaus.org first, though be aware it tracks negatives for years. http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=Rockymountaindd&Dirn=Received+by&ref=home
Some of the feedback looked like a connection with chumba games somehow: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/ChumbaToys

| | I've had a good transaction with him however I'm alarmed at what I just saw on his feedback. Aproximately 250 bad transactions in the last 6 months. I'm lucky. I usually dont deal large on ebay. I do bid and get stuff alot but the most I've spent is about $25.00 . How hard is it to get results from ebay/paypal? Can you call them and speak to someone with a brain who isn't overworked or is it all by email/robots. | | Champion of Grape Juice. Its delicious. | |
