| Well, there are still tons of "official" 2nd edition (and older) monsters that haven't been updated. I've recently been replaying Baldur's Gate, and in that game along I've come across half-ogres, orgillions, dread wolves, xvarts (these might have been updated somewhere), and more. I'm not even sure 3rd edition has an honest-to-goodness cyclops yet.
