| It looks impressive in sculpt and paint. But I'm not the very least interested in a Gargantuan Orcus. I bought the Gargantuan Black and the Collossal Red after a while when they were cheaper for 15 (black) and 20 (red) Euros, but I'm not sure, if I'd do the same with Orcus.
I have a feeling as if Orcus was just made since the dragons will change in there look compared for the 4.0 edition (if you saw the picture of the next starter set and the large green, you know what I mean). | | Champion of Regis

Or if they do, it is a rare quasit here or imp there. Almost never. Wow... Remind me never to join your groups! For me, demons and devils are just as central to the world as dragons are. Maybe even more so. They represent evil as a force, as something concrete. They embody the very thing that the pcs in most campaigns fight against.
As for Orcus - he looks cool, I must say. But I am also wondering if he has soon-to-be useless stats on his cards, or if they'll have 4th edition stats reflecting his new size? | | Champion of the Catoblepas

| I think Icons will come into its own when WotC finally knuckle down and use the line to make something with broader RPG appeal.
Massive dragons are OK, but their movement rate is too large for them to be very useful on a playmat or a scale map on a sheet of paper (unless your sheet is the size of a state highway). They've been produced essentially to look 'cool' sitting on a shelf (in my opinion) - and there are cheaper and better looking products out there that perform that function. Massive Icons are too expensive to buy and then not use (or not use terribly often).
Making creatures that are just the wrong size (again, inconsistency with their own product) is plain silly. This is just another icon that I won't be buying - not because of its look (which is fine), but because of its lack of usefulness.
Now, if they brough out a non-random pack of huge demons, huge dragons, huge aberrations, or aquatic creatures, or villagers, then I'd be interested... | | Champion of the Bodak.Knight of the Aboleth.Squire of Gnomes. | Hmm why Orcus. Like everyone here has said I don't remember him ever even being huge. If they had done it for one of the other demon lords that was listed as gargantuan or colossal then fine (I would have literally soiled myself with excitement if they had done Dagon) or even a huge sized demon lord that could pull it of. In my personal opinion Demogorgon would have been great for this check out this cover and you'll see what I mean , Wayne Reynolds at his finest http://paizo.com/image/product/catalog/TSR/TSRDUN150_500.jpeg. This is not to say that I don't like the model its just to say that they where other better choices in my opinion. I must saying looking at it it is nice and I will probably get one for sheer viewing pleasure alone. Definatly puts shame to the old 'Aspect of Orcus'.

| Why complain that Orcus is gargantuan when he's never been statted out at that size before? Come on people the guys a Demon Prince, essentially a Diety! Why can't he be any size he wants to be?! If it were an Aspect of Orcus, then I'd be concerned about his size, but it seems that they're presenting this figure as Orcus himself. Size matters not. He could be Tiny for all I care, as a player I'm still going to run from him.

Only reason why Orcus was always so big was because he was so fat! He made the Fat Bastard look malnourished and starved...

| Well when Orcus was known as Tenabrous and killed a 2nd time, his god-corpse that floated in the Astral plane was way bigger than gargantuan. It was miles long.
I don't think there's really an exact size for a god. Also, the form that a god takes is his own choosing most of the time. Maybe Orcus lost weight when he was resurrected

I have collected one collosal red dragon, two gargantuan blues, two gargantuan blacks, and I already ordered the gargantuan white dragon. I would definitely get two gargantuan greens if WOTC put such for sale.
