The reason we didn't get the Doomguard repaint was because the GMR9 Demonic Gnoll Archer was put in one of the monthly kits in its place.
There were rumors that WotC had production issues with their promos for several months, which led to promos gettting shuffled around, but I don't remember if we ever heard anything beyond speculation/rumor.

Actually, the Demonic Gnoll Archer is GMR8. The Celestial Giant Stag Beetle is GMR9. And, yes, GMR8 replaced D&DC42 (Doomguard) in the monthly prize kits. | |
