OK.. I am a RPG user of D&D miniatures. Do not play the skirmish game, just like to very good and cool minis that this game spawns.

However.. big ol However.. I have never managed to get my hands on one of the Dragons that this game uses.

However, a buddy of mine in another state has offered me some of his FLGS blowout on Mage Knight dragons for very cheap..

So, the query becomes..

Are the Mage Knight dragons in scale, roughly enough, with the D&D minis line, with rebasing or not..

(and yes, I know that you can use just about anything to proxy a mini, I want to know SCALE)

2+2=5 for sufficiently high values of 2.

I think the big MK dragons are about Huge size. You can get em really cheap on eBay (along with virtually anything else mage knight)

Yes, I do commissions. Except the only currency I accept is souls, and you can't send them on Paypal yet.

The four "elemental" Mage Knight Dragons (Great Fire, Venomous Shadow, Polar Ice, Radiant Sock-Puppet) have ellipse-shaped bases which almost exactly cover as much territory as two D&D Huge bases set side-by-side.  Scalewise, they should compare favorably with the D&D Icons dragons; I always think of them as "Gargantuan-long" rather than "Gargantuan-tall".

Happy dragon hunting,

if you are careful they are easy to rebase. they are nice and since they are free i say ge them but the quality is no comparion to any of the wotc ones. 20 bucks is cheap for the black and its 100x better than mage knight. the mage knight castle stuff though is some of the best stuff out there

yeah, typically they qualify as gargantuan. High level play only...
