Second that. It looks too cartoonish. I won't be buying this starter set. I'll pick up a single or two from Auggie if they look good in person, but my players would laugh at that stupid dragon...

| | Wow. I cannot believe how stupid looking the new green dragon is. It is so terrible looking, I don't know if I will ever get that starter set. Too bad, because the other minis look like they might be cool. But the dragon is the heavy hitter, and I have zero interest in that piece of junk. | | "Look to God and live." | I absolutely agree with Maurizio: the new green dragon,s head is ,simply, ridiculous. The new look of some minis like ogre and troll in DoD is worse than the older and I do not know anybody who actually like it.Obviously yhe old copper dragon in angelfire is a much better sculpt and paintjob than the new one.And about the other minis in the picture (the heroes I suppose) they all look very good and I,ll go for all of them since I love PC minis. | | LOVE THIS GIRL | |

| The guy with the greatsword and the female PC are excellent. The Green dragon is a joke..A really bad joke. An Abomination that is medium is not so cool. Why so many Yaun-ti lately? I really want to see a dwarf with a spear. And I'd liek to see dwarves with some other weapons too. The old axe-wielding dwarf is getting a bit old.

| I'm not happy that they are changing the look of the dragons just because they can. They looked great and distinctive as is and there was no good reason to change them and thus invalidate so much of their older minis and books.
Still I do like the look of the new green a lot if you look at it from outside the DnD perspective. It has a very athletic look with good curves and points. If you didn't tell me it was for DnD I would be really happy with its look.
Why the heck did they change them? :( | | Looking for someone to cosponser a midwest DDM event. let me know if your interested! Check out my brand new blog: http://bshugg.blogspot.com | |

| I am happy that they seem to be returning to 2nd edition Yuan-ti style when they all were "Abomination"-types. Never liked the entire halfblood/pureblood crap. The green Dragon is Fugly though (even though the paint-job appears to be superb).

| Having seen those pics I have a new guess about the color bands on the side of the stat cards. The orrigional guess, from the spined devil was alignment. But alignment would suggest that "opposites" be a different colour in the same place on the card. i.e. "civilised" & "Barbarian" would be 2 different colors in the same position. And thats clearly not the case with the cards in the pics. From those pics, it's clear that a band in a specific position is always one color. From top to bottem {red, blue, purple, green} So my new guess is it indicates the various attack modes the card has. e.g; Blue; With the possible exception of the green dragon (which is obscured) every card has blue. So that's Melee attack. Green; Yaun Ti & Elf spellcaster - So green is spells. Purple;Â A special ability that is countered by "Defense". Red; My guess is there's a bow somewhere on that Human figure. | | Don't worry about the current metagame. It doesn't matter if it's ugly, bad, or the best ever. | The colored bands on the sides are definitely faction markers, they have the faction symbols in the small circles at the end of the bar. Each faction of the multifaction has its own bar (remember almost everything will be mulitfaction in DDM 2.0). This is a guess on my part but, Civiliization: Blue Wilderness: Green Borderlands: Red Underdark: Purple
Which would make the spined devil Underdark and civilization , the elf in the starter both civilization and wilderness, the human civilization and borderlands.

| They are not attack types, because attack types are indicated beside the actual attacks with little bows and swords (but I had thought of something like that before). Scroll down for the Spined Devil card and you will see http://www.ddmspoilers.com/ddr_stats.php
