| Posted By Cthulhufnord on 05/24/2008 2:13 AM Well if you are taking time into account, what about people in other time zones then?
That's why I think 9-11pm EST seems to be the sweet spot. It's 6-8pm Pacific and it seems that there are more people home and bidding and it's not ridiculously late on the east coast. It's no guarantee, but I've always seen better results selling then and every bargain I've ever gotten has either been a morning/afternoon end or a very late night end. | | The year: 1994. | Hi Everyone,
Wraith is right from what I have seen in tracking minis. There is a sweet spot in the 9-11 PM Eastern US time that is strongest. Also, Sunday nights seem to generate a higher closing bid at auction than any other day.
But right now, IMHO, the US Recession is the biggest single culprit. I am feeling the pinch in my wallet, and I am sure there are a few others out there feeling that same pinch. This will cause me to buy fewer minis. It already has. In addition to collecting DDMs, I play and collect AAMs. I have not even bothered to buy any cases for the latest AAM set. I have made a choice to cut back and AAMs went on the block. I only bought one case of the DuoD, when I typically buy two to three cases of every set.
Let's say 20% of players and collectors no longer make regular ebay bids on minis, then this will effect the sale. I am seeing more and more auctions end with only one bid on the item. Fewer buyers means lower cost and better deals. I am just sorry I missed the Hound Archon for under $10. I would have made a bid on that one. I have been looking for another one, but not willing to pay the higher price for it. Now may be my chance. Later,

I expect some of them will, as they become restatted. That's why it's very important to get those 2.0 conversions.
