| | Wow I played in a 2.0 limited tourney today and pulled a rot scarab swarm. It was definately my MVP in all my games. It stunned at least one big hitter in every game I played for two rounds which was crippling to the other player. Awesome piece. | | Completed trades: bonelock, noilo x2, greylord78, Altayr, Shadow Lord x3, qillan_dvra, symbiotesx2, devasque, smetzger, dulsin, Sir Bozak The Damned, Ironfist Boulderbender x3, tallcar24, Tactician x2, Okay McKay, skwave, dariustad,Eprosen,hung4treason,dog of the underworld,FeranEldritchKnight,Jerry_Damage01,vtloon | |

| yep that auto stun is great and the auto poison on the demonweb swarm is pretty nice as well.
You can no longer ignore the swarms, they are a real thread and tough to kill without wasting major resources. | | | |

| I kind of dismissed them at first as I thought that 35 hp would get burned up too fast even with taking half damage. But check out the math:
attack does X damage / how many hits to kill the scarabs/ "virtual HP"
x=10 / 7 hits / 70 HP x=15/ 7 hits / 105 hp! x=20 /4 hits / 80 hp x=25 /4 hits /100 hp x=30 /3 hits /90 hp
They end up with pretty meaty totals for HP unless the opponent is packing area effects or similar. Even if they don't get a lot of stuns off they end up taking up a lot of activations worth of attacks to deal with.
Maybe something with 3 hitters + 2 scarabs would be fairly impressive.

| I agree that the Rot Scarab Swarm is a very solid piece. I have been trying to fit 1-3 of them in certain warband ideas.Â
I can believe that they would be very good in 200 pts Sealed.Â

| Rot scarab swarm + Bar Lgura, is good. Just get the swarm in a VP area and "Abduct" something valuable on top of it.
I used 3xDemon web swarms. to grab assault points. And poison things, backed by a spider priestess to make them vulnerable poison. My opponent could have killed all 3 swarms without loss, but the time reqired to do so would have allowed the rest of my warband a free reign to crush most of theirs. Result my opponent killed one swarm, reaslised how long it would take to kill the rest. And let me have assault VP's for the rest of the game. A nasty tactic is to walk the swarm through the enemy beatstiks to attack champions or spellcasters.
