I don't think I'd like to play on a 3 person team that needs to get 6 points to win. I figured there could be Team ties with an even # as the target unless they are counting at the time the match is completed. But still if we had 2 teams of 3 fighting against each other it could go: First tournament round: Team 1 = 3 wins Second tournament round: Team 1 = 2 wins, Team 2 =1 win Third tournament round: Team 1 = 0 wins, Team 2 = 3 wins  Forth tournament round: Team 1=1 win, Team 2 = 2 wins would it come down to which match was completed first in the forth round? I don't like it. Anyway, it is a neat idea, but if you get alot of teams you need alot of rounds to complete a tournament. I can hear the rumblings already.
Each team is, for this event, tracked as a single individual. Therefore a 90 player tournament is actually 30 teams and the rounds are worked as if only 30 (+1 for Swiss only)
Therefore the number of rounds are significantly less.
Each match has a winner and looser... 3 pt a win and 1 pt for a loss (this may change to 1 and 0 just for simplicity on this occasion) Basically you have to win 2 of 3 to win overall. Obviously going out to gain effects for everyone but loosing that one match is one of many tactics. Sure it could give your other two team mates a significant advantage but they now have to win no matter what. Building two strong and one weaker warbands is possible but again you are now in a position you have to win those two. I personally love the meta with this and look forward to the test. I've already got a second scenario in teh can that Dwayne Stupack and I have batted back and forth.
