Wow this is a surprise, it appears we get to use our old miniatures in DCI tournaments after Wizards restats them.  Vintage will also be using the new Rules as well.  This is not at all what I would call Vintage.  I thought Vinatage was going to be 1.0 tournaments.Â

So for the first few months (until August at least) Vintage and Standard will be identical.

Go figure.

This is slightly old news.  One correction though.  As I understand it we will only have Standard format the rest of this year (through GenCon) and Vintage will not kick in until late this year  with the Vintage Championship at XP in 2009.Â

Although I would not count out that there could be a Vintage tournament at GenCon this year (first of the Vintage season?).Â
