| Hello Again! For those who frequent these boards you know that every time a full setlist with pics is released I write up my Tomatometer thread.
I realize there is no official poster yet and some of the photos to go by arent that great..but I cant help myself I wanted to do this now when I had the time. I will change by rating if something new comes to light.
Once again here are my rules. Every mini is either Fresh or Rotten. Unfortunatly there is no in between. So if a mini is so-so I have to pick either good or bad. I also only RPG so skirmish stats mean nothing to me.

Ok here we go!
S1 - Dwarf Battlemaster - ROTTEN - No more male dwarves with axes. Its getting rediculus. Ive had my fill.
S2 - Yuan-ti Swiftscale - FRESH - Yaun-ti come in all shapes, sizes and mutations. Another varient is cool with me.
S3 - Human Sellsword - FRESH - This guy is a fantastic PC miniature. I love him.
S4 - Elf Warlock - FRESH - She is a great elven sorcerer or rogue. Between her and the Sellsword we have two of the greatest PC minis since DDM began
S5 - Young Green Dragon - ROTTEN - Oh my god did they totally screw up the green dragon. I loved the way it used to look. Among the different kinds the Green was the classic look. Now its the lame look.
#1 - Dwarf Warlord - FRESH - I'm on the fence with this one but decided fresh. He makes a good commander or leader among dwarves.
#2 - Angel of Valor - ROTTEN - Terrible. The new look of angels with their robot wings is a failure IMO.
#3 - Cleric of Pelor - FRESH - Another PC mini that rules.
#4 - Halfling Paladin - FRESH - I gotta give DoD credit for this. They made some great PC minis. Love this guy to.
#5 - Young Silver Dragon - FRESH - I love dragons. We already have a Large Silver in the Archfiends set. But this one looks great.
#6 - Elf Archer - ROTTEN - Elves with bows are just as overdone as dwarves with axes. I am officially done. Looking crappy doesnt help it's case either.
#7 - Death Knight - FRESH - We already have a Death Knight in the Deathknell set. But a varient doesnt hurt in this case. It looks pretty cool although I wish the sword was silver and not red.
#8 - Orc Raider - ROTTEN - Theres something really funny looking about this orc. He's to top-heavy and cartoon looking. The giant axe-head and little handle is stupid to.
#9 - Young Red Dragon - FRESH - Once again a resculpt. but again I love me some dragons and he looks cool (yet still the Large Red from Dragoneye seems to be the best looking dragon mini still!)
#10 - Gargoyle - ROTTEN - We have a gargoyle in Dragoneye and also in Bloodwar. A third is over-doing it. Plus what are the green patches on his body all about?
#11 - Oni - FRESH - I like this guy. He just kind of cool and he's pretty much an Ogre Mage from the Monster Manual art (sorta).
#12 - Chillborn - FRESH - Variety in my zombies is a good thing. Im still not tired of resculpts in the zombie department.
#13 - Drow Spiderguard - ROTTEN - Please enough with the drow. And a male with a sword and shield we already have a few of so its not even something new.
#14 - Eye of Flame - FRESH - Lets face it. Beholders are cool. They also come in a variety of looks. Thats why they try to kill each other. So a varient Beholder is cool.
#15 - Immolith - ROTTEN - He looks rediculus. He has these giant hands and no arms. Its a joke.
#16 - Shadow Demon - FRESH - Looks cool to me!
#17 - Warrior Wight - FRESH - Im not sure what to make of this. Grayhaze's spoiler site says its a large mini. A large undead warrior? Im not sure if fresh or rotten but I may find a good use in RPG. I went with fresh.
#18 - Howling Hag - FRESH - Its not a Green, Sea or Annis Hag but I will take what I can get. At least we have some form of hag other than the Night Hag.
#19 - Magma Brute - ROTTEN - Looks stupid. Real stupid. I guess it makes a decent Magma Para-Elemental proxy but still looks dumb.
#20 - Vrock - FRESH - One of my favorite monster minis in the set. It looks SO cool. :)
#21 - Ascendant Hellsword - FRESH - We surprisingly have no humans with the Half-Fiend template as a mini yet. Its about time I got me a Cambion.
#22 - Rakshasa Baron - FRESH - A varient of the Rakshasa we got way back in GoL is nice. He looks cool.
#23 - Vampire Spawn - FRESH - The sculpt and look are pretty bad. But more vampire spawn are very welcome. Especially females.
#24 - Champion of Baphomet - FRESH - I know we have to many minotaurs. But one in armor and looking partially civilized is really cool. I like him.
#25 - Balhannoth - FRESH - They are this obscure monster from MM4 I think. I like the look though. Its just cool looking and can prozy for many weird tenticled things.
#26 - Mind Flayer Scourge - FRESH - I find myself still not getting tired of Mind Flayer resculpts. Very nice.
#27 - Troglodyte Bonecrusher - ROTTEN - Really dissapointing how they redesigned the troglodyte to look terrible. He doesnt fit in with other trogs at all. He has no tail and his kness bend like a human. He cant even fit in as a husky muscular trog.
#28 - Vampire Vizier - FRESH - Another noble looking Vampire is quite welcome.
#29 - Ice Archon - ROTTEN - Looks stupid and if they insist on these elemental Archons I would have preferred Air, Water or Earth.
#30 - Lamia - ROTTEN - We finally get a Lamia mini! Is she half-lion? Half-stag? No she has an arm made of bugs and bugs all over her legs. WTF?!?! Adding insult to injury is how we will never get a "real" lamia mini.
#31 - Gnoll Marauder - FRESH - Starting to get tired of all the Gnolls. But we dont have one with a spear so it gets a fresh rating for now. I dont know how well the next Gnoll will rate.
#32 - Bugbear Headreaver - FRESH - Hes holding a severed head!! How R-rated! Im surprised they made this so the mini is cool in my book.
#33 - Dwarf Shieldmaiden - FRESH - Man the great PC minis keep rolling in! A female Dwarf! Woot!
#34 - Goblin Picador - FRESH - Getting alot of goblins but thats understandable. And we dont have one with a spear yet.
#35 - Human Fighter - FRESH - Nothing great but still a cool mini. This was another mini where I was kind of "Meh" but went with fresh.
#36 - Iron Defender - FRESH - Ive been wanting one of these bad since back when I read the adventure in the back of the Eberron Campaign setting.
#37 - Dire Wolf - ROTTEN - I see no need for a 3rd Dire Wolf sculpt when there are so many monsters that havent been sculpted at all. And I miss the bony spikes that make dire animals dire looking.
#38 - Ettin Jack-of-Irons - FRESH - He looks cool. Much better than the old Ettin mini.
#39 - Everfrost Ranger - FRESH - Another great PC mini. I am in awe of the PCs in this set.
#40 - Griffon - FRESH - We have a Griffon, and we have that pathetic griffon with rider mini to. Did we need another? Sometimes the resculpts annoy me and somethimes its OK. In this case I will go with OK. Another so-so for me.
#41 - Kobold Archer - FRESH - Its the first time we got a Kobold with a bow so I let another resculpt slide.
#42 - Wyvern - FRESH - Looks better than the fat bird-like Wyvern in Aberrations.
#43 - Defiant Rake - FRESH - Must I keep gushing over the excellent collection of PCs in this set?
#44 - Emerald Orb Wizard - FRESH - Yes..it seems I must. Dungeon of Dread hands down will be remembered for giving us the best PC minis ever.
#45 - Grisk - ROTTEN - Oh man. First fo all we already have a Grick mini. Second of all a Grisk is not the type of monster where resculpts are needed. Third of all this one looks like total poo compared to the one in GoL.
#46 - Spectral Magelord - FRESH - On the fence about this but I can use more ghosts so it leaned toward fresh.
#47 - Teifling Warlock - FRESH - Eh its Ok. Another Teifling wont kill me. But I do have enough of them starting now thank you.
#48 - Warforged Infiltrator - FRESH - I cant stand all the great PC minis in this set. Im just floored. A Warforged rogue! Booya!
#49 - Runecarved Eidolon - ROTTEN - What is this hideous thing?
#50 - Drow Wand Mage - FRESH - Another drow is bad. But this is only the second male magic user and he looks so much better than the Drow Wizard from Dragoneye.
#51 - Shade Knight - FRESH - I cant make out if he is clear plastic. Either way he looks cool.
#52 - Skeletal Tomb Guardian - FRESH - Its weird and unique but since its only a rare I like it. If it was common or uncommon it woul dhave been rotten.
#53 - Bulette - ROTTEN - They shrunk them down to large. I gues sit can be a youg Bulette mini but theres so many other creatures I like see take up the slot in the set.
#54 - Deathjump Spider - FRESH - Snce its Medium I like it alot.
#55 - Fen Hydra - ROTTEN - I have wanted a huge hydra so long and now we get this. Its large and has no legs. Words cannot express the dissapointment.
#56 - Giant Centipede - FRESH - HOLY CRAP! We finally get a monsterous centipede!!! A++
#57 - Hoor Horror - ROTTEN - I have a Hook Horror mini from Aberrations and that one looked better.
#58 - Shadow Hunter Bat - FRESH - Looks cool. Im not sure if they appear in 3rd edition but I still like it.
#59 - Spectral Panther - FRESH - Cool. Weird...but cool
#60 - Bralani - FRESH - We have a Bralani Eladrin mini already. A resculpt of this is an odd choice. But he looks cool and makes for a fine PC mini.

| | 72% fresh huh? Well, at least that's well above a passing grade. My friend, who just came back from XP, was impressed with the overall set. It doesn't hurt to have large versions of my two favourite dragons in the same set. | |

Uh, that's a cut/paste left over, the warrior wight is a medium. I'll fix that tomorrow.

I think the patches are mold or lichen or something. Statues do start to do that after many years.

It may be a male dwarf with an axe, but it's got a sweet norse looking dwarf face on the shield! FRESH!

Looks like a cool Wild Elf to me. FRESH!

While I still think the BW Gargoyle is the best of the lot, this one isn't bad looking at all. FRESH!

I do miss the bony spikes, and I do like the Vampire Dire Wold better, but it's a good sculpt. FRESH!

Because opinions differ, here are mine. Purely based on esthetics, even though I am a skirmish player as well. This poll is about RPG-abilty:
S1 - Dwarf Battlemaster - FRESH - Even though it is a dwarf with axe, the detail on this figure is awesome, great PC mini.
S2 - Yuan-ti Swiftscale - FRESH - Loving that in 4e they have reverted to Yuan-ti being all snake-tails, and still keeping variation.
S3 - Human Sellsword - FRESH - This guy is indeed a fantastic PC miniature. I love him as well.
S4 - Elf Warlock - FRESH - With the non-flashy clothing and simple dagger she's great for all sorts of classes!
S5 - Young Green Dragon - ROTTEN - It's butt-ugly, and not a pretty tooshy.
#1 - Dwarf Warlord - FRESH - As an uncommon it's ok. Not mad about it, but because it's a dwarf (I'm biased) he gets the confidence vote. That dwarven waraxe is looking a bit too much like a warhammer for my taste.
#2 - Angel of Valor - ROTTEN - Hate the metal wings. A real shame, because the translucent face and body look very cool IMHO. As with the Angel of Vengeance, it would have been awesome with feathery wings.
#3 - Cleric of Pelor - FRESH - "Another PC mini that rules" seconded...
#4 - Halfling Paladin - ROTTEN - Disagree with Dooku here, I hate it. But I generally don't like the small pc-races.
#5 - Young Silver Dragon - FRESH - One word: Awesome!
#6 - Elf Archer - FRESH - If well executed, iwelcome another set of Elf archers. Like to use these in squadrons.
#7 - Death Knight - ROTTEN - If I don't account for the great skirmish stats I smimply have to conclude that he looks too corny for my taste.
#8 - Orc Raider - ROTTEN - The handle of the axe makes it look ridiculous indeed. Even though a common heavily armoured orc could have been quite acceptable.
#9 - Young Red Dragon - FRESH - Not close to the Dragoneye one, but at least no rider attached. A lot of new players will love it.
#10 - Gargoyle - FRESH - Didn't need one, but it looks great. Dragoneye gargoyle was ugly. Style is similar too the Bloodwar one, but better exectuted, especially the paintjob (green=patches of moss).
#11 - Oni - FRESH - A favourite of mine as well. He simply IS the 4e Ogre Mage.
#12 - Chillborn - FRESH - never enough zombies.
#13 - Drow Spiderguard - FRESH -Great looking drow, especially like the sword.
#14 - Eye of Flame - FRESH - This beholder looks a lot better than all previews we have had, great job WotC!

#17 - Warrior Wight - FRESH - What I saw was more like a revenant than a wight, but it does look cool.

#19 - Magma Brute - ROTTEN - looks like a lame handpuppet.
#20 - Vrock - FRESH - I now have regrets for dishing out a lot of dollars for enough Archfiends Vrock to be able to perform that ritual thingy they do.
#21 - Ascendant Hellsword - FRESH - Nic eto see the cambion return to RPG, did they ever make it to 3.x E?
#22 - Rakshasa Baron - FRESH - High-time for another non-warrior Rakshasa
#23 - Vampire Spawn - FRESH - "The sculpt and look are pretty bad. But more vampire spawn are very welcome. Especially females". QFT, especially the face looks like a troll.

#51 - Shade Knight - FRESH - Very very cool, can use this one as a wraith.

#53 - Bulette - FRESH - Bullete's are creatures which can come in all sizes in nmy book. I will hapilly mix the huge ones with the large ones.

#55 - Fen Hydra - FRESH - Hated it at first glance, but it grew on me, OK.
#56 - Giant Centipede - FRESH - finally!
#57 - Hoor Horror - FRESH - The Aberrations Hook Horror looked better (hence I got five), so personally don't need one of these. But it's a great monster, and well enough executed to meet the needs of newer DMs.
#58 - Shadow Hunter Bat - FRESH - Reminds me of a nightstalker... kewl...
#59 - Spectral Panther - ROTTEN - Looks more like a medium hellcat (lionshape) to me. Not really pantherish with those manes. Not liking it.
#60 - Bralani - FRESH - Great mini, can be used as any humanish blond longhaired archer pc.
FINAL RATING - 75% FRESH - pretty good...

What does it proxy as? Usually if a monster is weird there is still some proxy use I can get out of it. An evil looking sorceress would be a fantastic mini...but with an arm made of bugs?...worthless. | |

Ugh. Nothing personal Count, but I am really, really tired of hearing stuff like this. WotC isn't doing 3rd edition anymore, so get over it! Play the game you love w/o all the whining and complaining. I'm pretty sure there are some great classic lamia sculpts out there you can get a hold of out there.
BTW - The Vermin Lord shows up in 3rd edition Book of Vile Darkness:

#2 - Angel of Valor - ROTTEN – What an ugly conceptual disaster!
#3 - Cleric of Pelor - ROTTEN - It doesn't offend me, but it doesn't appeal to me either.
#4 - Halfling Paladin - ROTTEN – Looks like it was painted with a toothbrush.
#5 - Young Silver Dragon - FRESH – Very pretty.
#6 - Elf Archer - ROTTEN – Archers are problematic as minis, and this one shows why.
#7 - Death Knight - FRESH - Nice armor, stoic but intimidating pose. Looks short, though.
#8 - Orc Raider - ROTTEN – A step down drom the War Drums Orc Marauder
#9 - Young Red Dragon - FRESH – I kinda like it, even if it looks like it's going "booh!"
#10 - Gargoyle - FRESH - Like how it's overgrown with lichen.
#11 - Oni - FRESH – But still inferior to the Angelfire Ogre Mage.

#55 - Fen Hydra - FRESH – I kinda like the sculpt. Paint looks a bit flat. I like the "new" concept.
