| Right now I have the 2 sets that I've punched ziplocked by size in a basic Set box, but it's not really working great, which is why I haven't punched the rest. I need them to be easily looked through and portable because although I typically DM, we don't play at my house.
Any suggestions? What works for you? | | This new learning amazes me Sir Bedevere. Explain again how sheep's bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes. -King Arthur Life is pain and we have to scrape the joy out of it every chance we get. -Rod Kimble | |

| I've got this red 2 inch high plano storage box. I bought it at a hardware store. I wish I bought more because I can't find them anymore. A little bit of modification and it fits everything except the BIG tiles, which go into gallon ziplok.
I wish I knew the number of it. they don't even sell it at thier site anymore. perhaps e-bay might have it? (nope, just checked) | | May you find peace and happiness at the hand of Hextor.

| Here is what I use - the dividers are clear plastic, so it is easy to see what each one holds, and it opens very wide for easy retrival of tiles. Got it at Wal-Mart for around $10.00.

| My only half hearted gripe with Dungeon tiles is storage. I like the idea of the divider like AnarionZelle's as I often don't GM at my place either and need a portable solution. Extra baggage is bad. If only at home I think I'd use the Q of C's idea, as at cheap shops often see similar designs going .. cheap.

I picked up one of the storage drawer things today and started organizing my Dungeon Tiles. I'll be posting pictures of how I've organized it as well as how I transport what I need to/from the game elsewhere.

| I haven't opened most of mine yet, but when I do, I'm expecting to use Bags. I'll probably use the mapper to know what I need, then just bag them up by encounter need. maybe the Accordion file, if I can find a good one cheap.

| | I use big ziplock freezer bags - the ones with the plastic zipper. I try to store the sets individually so I know when I need a dungeon or a temple or overland stuff or a cave. | | | |

| | Just want to say that the accordion file may not be the best bet. I bought one today (wide and large at that) and it did not store the tiles well. I cannot close it. The problem which I learned first hand was that when they are in the accordion file they all shift to the bottom and trying to close it then is quite impossible. I had them stacked up before but figured I would give this a try. Unfortunately didn't work to well. I have all sets and 2 of the first two so I am sure this has something to do with it. I am reconsidering this storage method. Just keep this in mind if choosing this route. | | Give me more MIND FLAYERS! | |

| It doesn't provide easy access to tiles, but for storage in your accordion file you could probably keep each set worth of tiles in a manilla envelope. If you sandwich the smaller tiles between the larger ones when your stacking them, the envelope will hold them fairly rigidly and keep the small tiles from bunching up as badly.

| I use those cardboard 'white boxes' that you usually see baseball & hockey (or in my case Magic) cards stored in. Currently I have 6 800 count boxes that hold the bulk of my tiles from the 4x4 & 2x8 down to the 1x1 tiles labelling all of the boxes as such.  Bigger stuff I haven't figured out how to store but the accordian file shown above may be perfect. I will have to check out one soon.

| I bought the first couple of sets. Used them once and listened to all my players complain that drawing everything out with a whiteboard pen was faster and better. | I agree with greyhaze that Tact-Tiles are excellent. I have both and only use the Dungeon Tiles for big battles which I know are going to happen. The Tact-Tiles get use for everything else.
I posted earlier about the accordion file and how all my dungeon tiles didn't fit in. Well I tried putting them in folders as was suggested and stacking them up neatly between the larger tiles and it worked perfectly. Very nice suggestion.Â
I also want to add that I scanned every dungeon tile and cropped them nicely. Now when I am looking to prepare a map I use my art program (Corel Draw) to design the room from all the scanned images and then pull out the tiles I need. I just completed doing this over the weekend and made my first temple room with it. I must say that I was completely shocked at how nice the printed picture came of the room!! It literally looks like a professional room created with a mapping program. I have used mapping pograms before and I was much more pleased doing the maps this way! It was a blast and now I am thinking of using this to simply create maps of rooms. I would paste a copy of it here but I am not savy enough to figure that out. I could email it to someone who maybe could post it so that you guys can see for yourself. With the picture it might inspire others to try out what I did.
It took some time but I will say it was definately worth it!!

| Maybe this link will work to view the temple/church that I made using the dungeon tiles. As I said I scanned each tile and now use them to create maps on my computer. I hope this works so I can give you an idea of what they look like in making maps.  http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/1542/temple2yt3.jpg | | Give me more MIND FLAYERS! | |
