| Posted By Corim Danex on 05/05/2008 11:41 PM You liked the sculpt for the Large Sliver? I might have if the overhang hadn't knocked over any mini trying to stand next to it.
Sorry to be a downer, but the recent trends are just killing me (well, my interest).
I was referring more towards the look of the sculpt itself though I have to admit it does overhang a bit.

| Guulvorg? Um, okay. We never had that in 1st or 2nd Ed, so I'll take your word for it. Neither pic shows it wearing armor. I like the recent drawing better. The mini still looks more like a Bluespawn Armortard.

| Posted By bshugg on 05/06/2008 7:05 AM That is definatly 100% a Guulvorg from the picture. I'm guessing calling it a worg was a mistake on the main page, or else they are including Guulvorgs as some sort of bad ass dire worg.
They mention the guulvorg as an advanced Worg of some type, but yeah, it sounds liek a typo.

| front and center is a possible wraith, a dragon born nearly for sure, and a tiefling definitely (check out the sword and the tiefling weaponry section in the preview book)... but the head shape makes it odd...
no idea what the bird thing is... cocatrice could happen
there is a small figure hidden behind the "cocatrice" and the thing on the right is anyone's guess.... | | Rock Bottom Pricing: Arcane Archer 30, Centaur Hero 67, Human Cleric of Bane 25, Gold Champion 34, Death Knight 52, Goblin Blackblade 9, Silentwolf Goblin 7, Orc Raider 10, Dwarf axefighter 9, Healer 9, Thaskor 65, Aspect of Demogorgon 71, Ogre 9, Fire Giant 79, Human Wanderer 7, Drunken Master 18, Barghest 12, Longstider Barbarian 27, Longtooth Barbarian 22, Frost Giant 76, Ravenous Vampire 42, Large Earth Elemental: priceless

| The other problem I can see towards the over hang problem there seems to be in on thier end is trying to make a huge figure that looks cool but also fit in the box. The white drangon would have those wings going more upwards which they probably wanted but how would they get it in the box with out them being warped all over place. Also the right wing isnt that from the looks of it and acutally the left is out there but it is fairly striaght so just turning it one way or another for a piece or two beside it should not be that big of deal. | | | |

All I've heard for sure is that they were changing distribution from the WotDQ model. I'm guessing (and hoping) that there are more than 12 huges in this set. We already have confirmed/suggested 9 huges.
Fire Titan - seen Huge Red Dragon - on the box Huge Silver Dragon - in the manual Death Giant - on the box Efreeti Emir - on the box Yuan-ti - seen Mountain Giant - on the box Guulvorg - seen Huge White Dragon - seen
That would surprise me that we know 9 of the 12 already. Maybe there will be 18 (or 24) in the set. Who knows, though you'd think that WotC would start marketing the set soon.

What you call a bluespawn armourtard IS the Gullvorg. Also, we have seen the Efreeti, and the Huge Silver is still debatable given a cryptic Shoe hint over at Hordelings (happened awhile back). | | Originally posted by Schooly_D Username - he deals in minis Champion of Lhesh Haruuc Shaarat'kor

Also, I really hope this is a 72 mini set (12 huges and 60 normal size minis). That would make my day. | | Originally posted by Schooly_D Username - he deals in minis Champion of Lhesh Haruuc Shaarat'kor

I agree that there appears to be a large Efreeti in the images, but is a large and a huge really that unbelievable? GoL had a medium and a huge Red Dragon, and AtG has a Fire Giant and a Fire Titan. At this point, I wouldn't rule out there being two different Efreet. | | Completed trades: Brenigin, desiderata, HockeyFan, MikeyChraal, Raland

| With 7 known I'm getting more worried that Nalfeshnee and Aboleth won't make the set. The Reaper 4 legged Hydra is out in a couple weeks - at almost $50. Boy unpainted metal is getting pricey.
So far 3 giants, 2 dragons (confirmed), an aberration and a magical beast.
Really curious what the new distribution will be. | | Called Shot: Against the Giants -- Aboleth Called Shot: Demonweb - Large Whip Spider Another Champion of the Aboleth

| That's not an Efreeti... it's a hill giant or something. There aren't any flames, and with the picture depicting all sorts of flames and WotC love of clear plastic, there would be flames.
I am unconvinced that what we see is an efreeti
And seeing as the set is called Against the Giants, I'm pretty sure there will be another giant in it.
