| So it's getting warm here in New England, and going therough my minis last night I noticed that a few were starting to 'soften' (hard to explain, but the plastic on appendages and weapons felt ever-so-slightly more pliable than ones that were not on a shelf)...those were in a metal tin which isn't the best idea in the heat I know.
I have two plastic totes, any other suggestions for warm locations?
Originally, I was planning to display my drow/dragon collection with a set of bendy dungeon walls, but a big problem is the lack of proper shelf space to do so. So those are in a tote; my warband is in a dice bag.

| I store mine in Stanley tool organizers. Small ones for regular minis and large ones for the huges. | | DEALS COMPLETED: 69, (33 Maxminis, 19 Hordelings, 9 Others, 7 Unofficial, 1 Bad) DEALS PENDING: 0, | |

| Posted By the other guy on 06/13/2008 7:39 AM I store mine in Stanley tool organizers. Small ones for regular minis and large ones for the huges. I use those for med/small/tiny and plastic 'shoe' boxes for large and huges. I have mine separated by type, but I wish I would have done it a bit simpler and just separated by set. | | Originally posted by Schooly_D Username - he deals in minis Champion of Lhesh Haruuc Shaarat'kor | |

| I use Stack-On brand tool storage cabinets. You can find some of their brands at places like Home Depot, but I like the kind with only large drawers. The best prices I've found (actually best shipping prices) are at Northern Tool company: www.northerntool.com.
Hope that helps,

| 12 quart bins with lids. they're not airtight, but pretty clamped down stiil. Keep in the basement, for extra cooling.

| Sterilite "shoe boxes" and separated by type, re: Dwarves, Cavalry/Mounts, Angels, Orcs, Heroes, Champions of Evil, etc.
Store them downstairs, as others have mentioned. That said, our heat won't bother them much overall. | | Champion of Prit(Wemic vindication is here) Minneapolis/St. Paul area Completed trades: Aspect of Cheese (Love that moniker), Tickparasite, Elderthing, Lalato, Sodj, Grimoire, SmilinIrish, Zeb, RWarehall,Link, wikkawikkawa, Auramancer, Rommers, HK, Ivid5,Qillan_dvra, Puggins, Arcabius, Ironfist Boulderbender, Robby, Corim Danex, monster_slayer, DNDJUNKIE, Kelemvor, Krush, ckissee, Massawyrm, hockey fan, Wish, Uninspiring Lieutenant, vtloon x2, Vrecknidj, Darthpoke, WakeXX, AnarionZell, lycusmike, papabear5 and umpteen local trades with board members

| I store my minis in various containers:
1) PLASTIC FISHING TACKLE BOXES (with partitions for different creature types, and in different depths for different sized figs) 2) LARGE SNAP LID PLASTIC BOXES /Â TOTESÂ (for HUGE creature)
I keep all of the boxes labeled. All are stored in a cool dry place (not that it matters).Â
On a side note, I noticed that all of my UNHALLOWED minis have a dust like white / grey funk on them (most noticable on the black bases) that easily wipes off of the minis, but a pain in the _ _ _ to have to do. Anyone else notice this on there UH minis?Â
Cheers.Â

| I use a combination of Tackleboxes in the basment (getting some more today). Sterilite Containers (for Huges) and partitioned clear craft boxes for everything else.

| I have thousands upon thousands of minis, many of which are strewn all over my back room. Some are in plastic bins, some are in plastic bags, some are on the floor, some are on the table.
It's sad and disorganized.
