| All of you who buy a lot of cases, look me up, as I will be trading heavily for this set.

| | Zero for sure, I do not want to go to the prerelease. This is the first set where I have thought all of the previews have been jokes. The miniatures selection in this set seems to have been done by some type of dart throwing monkey----Against The Giants?!?!??!?!?!?!? The Fire Giant Raider looks great, but how about a new Hill Giant???? And a giant with a hammer....well I guess there will be people that think that it is pretty cool....but the original GOL set brought us way more Giants than are in this set----Maybe I expected too much, but with 4th edition just released, I was hoping that this would be a well thought out release---the introduction of Dragonborn to the PH and the 2 minis in the set are both rare----I could go on and on with the complaints | | | |

| So, my FLGS recently closed and I can't get my cases from them anymore, what's y'alls favorite online preordering site? I know that question has been asked any number of times before, but for the life of me I can't recall what they were.
And in regards to the vote, due to money constraints, I'm preordering only one case for now, though I'll prolly get another case and boosters down the road at some point. | | Vindicated Champion of a Shadow Mastiff!! | | I will neither be buying boosters nor cases for this set... The fact that it is a huge set has nothing to do with it, while the quality of the set has everything to do with it. There are simply too many minis that I find aesthetically unappealing (Shocktroop Devil, Hellwasp) or downright poorly made (Elder Red Dragon, Mighty Blademaster). I usually order as singles, buying the occasional booster for fun, but this time, it's strictly singles, and there are less than ten in this set that I really like. | | Champion of the Catoblepas

| Just FYI...
Please keep in mind that many of the photos on the ddmspoilers site that were taken against a white background are probably not final production minis. It's possible that the minis you'll find in your boosters will be significantly different, and unlikely that they'll look worse.
In my opinion, if we (as a community) are going to distribute pre-production leaks, we also owe it to WotC to ensure that there's no chance that they can be mistaken as the final product.
That said, there are definitely some poor choices and/or execution of sculpts and paint in this set, and maybe even a few more than average depending on the final production versions. Hopefully there will be the usual percentage of minis that aren't particularly photogenic, and end up looking decent in-hand at the right scale.

| All in all, this looks like a pretty typical Huge set for me. I'll get a case or two, probably.

| I have one case preordered (test my luck/trade fodder), may pick up a booster or two on release, and any other acquisitions will be trades (I definitely want a handful or two of Jellies to repaint/mod). There aren't a ton of figures in this set that I'm after for skirmish use.
I use miniaturemarket for online ordering.

I was under the impression that the elder red dragon was a production mini, and frankly, I think it's awful. | | Champion of the Catoblepas

| pre-ordered 1 case, at 75 + shipping its just so much cheaper than buying retail. Plus 2 boosters at pre-release and probably 2 limited at GenCon, and if I do well some mroe boosters as prizes. More than one case and I get too many C/UC that I never get rid of, so I will wait and see what I need to buy for skirmish (I dont RPG) or that I happen to like. | | Champs 2007 Top 16, Team Amish Class of 2007 Seeking Northern NJ DDM'ers - "There can be only one" (I hope not) Champion of the Doppleganger | |

| | I have to revise my earlier statement. I will be spending nothing on this set. It's not even worth the effort to buy the few singles that I want. A trade here or there will net me everything I want, which is mainly Ochre Jellies and Galeb Duhr. | | The year: 1994. | I don't play the random game anymore. There are so many sites out there that sell singles at reasonable rates (many with free shipping) that it just isn't worth going the cases route. Especially with a huge set where even 5 or more cases won't ensure you get most of the minis. I'll continue to support the secondary market.

| | Zero, I'm just getting a full set plus some extras of the cockatrice, fire bat, Gahleb Duhr, Gnaw Demon, and Shock Troop Devil. Not my favorite figures, but at this point dupes are for RPG and I think I've hit my upper limit on Bugbear, Goblins, and Kobolds grunts no matter how good the sculpts are. | | Do you like games John? I think it's hilarious that you hate this set but want (what I consider to be) one of the worst looking minis ever made!

| Well I have to say that when seeing the picture of the Elder Red I was highly disappointed, both in the poster picture, and the picture from Origins. However after seeing it in person at the pre-release I think it looks a ton better. Overall I was a lot happier with the figures in hand there, and I got to see almost every figure from the set. I didn't see the Angel. The Death Titan also looks far better in hand.
