| Is anyone else having problems viewing the WotC message boards today?

| | Yup. I can get to boards, but not threads (yesterday "invalid thread specified", today is just "database has encountered an error"). Overall VERY slow to connect, but that seems to be a persistent issue on my end. | | | |

| They've been wonky for days, and will continue to be a problem for some time, I fear.
Just keep trying, sometimes I get through, maybe you will too.

| They're still having problems as of this AM, 7/6. Seems like they have been having these problems for a number of days now.

| Many of you may not check this site: www.gleemax.com, but, sometimes there are useful posts there.
Here is Solice's post from 6/25 at that site. Gleemax Update Posted By: Solice, 6/25/2008 10:04:45 AM
As many of you may have noticed, the Gleemax Blogs site has not gotten the updates or stability support it should have. We know the progress on Gleemax is slow going, and it is frustrating for you. At this time, it is also necessary.
We have many projects in the fire here at Wizards of the Coast, not the least of which is D&D Insider and the continued support and work on Magic: The Gathering Online. Because of the importance of these projects to the company, they take precedence in terms of developer resources. This means the fixes and improvements we want for the Gleemax Blogs are not at the front of the line. I assure you this does not mean we do not care about the Blogs and social network! It does, however, hinder the speed in which things develop.
We will update you as we are able to make progress on the issues that the Gleemax site still faces.
Thank you for your patience!

Dave WOW! That's a huge U-turn in importance compared to how much they were pushing Gleemax last year at GenCon. Seems like another product that WotC is trying to distance themselves from as quick as possible. I know that Randy Buehler stuck his neck out on this project. I'm hoping he doesn't get canned over it.

| Gleemax killed Knowledge Arcana (sort of). From my perspective as editor of that magazine, it would be poetic justice for Gleemax to bite the dust.
That said, I think that the D&D Insider stuff is a good idea, and I love the message boards, so I don't want to see any collateral damage.
