| If you placed 1st or 2nd at a qualifier, you should have received an email by now. The badge will either appear in your mailbox in a while (few weeks, probably), or will be at the "Will Call" desk at the convention center on Thursday morning (maybe Wednesday night) of GenCon.
If you will receive an invitation based on rank, you're going to have to wait until tonight, probably, at the earliest to know for sure you've been invited (unless you're really high on that list).
In either case, you will see the invitations list here. It will take a while to get updated to include the top 100.
If you're invited but not winning a badge, you'll get no notice. You have to just show up at the right time and place for the championship. You're automatically in, you don't need any special ticket. You will, however, need your DCI number.

| I am assuming that I can't appeal for Alex, but I'm going to try.
Based on the results of a 6/29 event, his DCI will be 1641 (or higher), placing him at 85th place (or higher). These results were okayed and accepted by Linda on 7/7, the same day the list went live. Alex is not included on that list because of the 7/2 deadline issue. However, his event was played prior to 7/2. I'm betting WotC will reject his appeal, but I'm going to try.
