| Ok, last I looked, the current in house totals is between 17 and 18 K. I also know I have traded/sold off another 14K over the years. I keep extensive spreadsheets (I am up to the 11th full worksheet in Excel just tracking the trades and buys and sells and gifts I have made.) I also have a few hundred clix, and between 1 and 2000 lead minis (many painted) and assorted small plastic toys and stuff for gaming (lots of old HO gauge animals and trees for example from my old railroad days...)

| well Wolfgang, some of us are like Great Whites lurking below the surface....waiting to pounce. (trade/deal)
I mean when someone wanted to trade for 100 Celestial Badgers, I was able to do it. I had them. (Not that I wanted them, but I had them.) I ended up making lots of trades where I took quantity over quality. Someone was looking to dump lots of commons and uncommons for a handful of rares. I was willing to make the deal, since I could also expect to later include many of those minor minis in other deals. Making 100 plus figures at a time trades was not uncommon at my peak trading times. I also picked up a few collections as people exited the game. I kept some and moved others, but was actiing as a clearing house in effect and ending up with a commision. My overall total has not really gone up a lot in the past 18 months or so.
As to why? I like big battles and really like being able to not have to use proxies. If the battle has 6 Pit fiends in it, I would like to have 6 Pit Fiends to put on the map. I also decided long ago that I could probably manage to between trading etc, keep a fixed investment once I hit critical mass. I would venture that my net investment in minis is now lower than many others. My net is lower than md3's list above. | |

| I used to buy a lot and I have a good deal. I stopped buying (as I think the game has never been meant to be balanced as a market strategy) and I am selling and trading for the few sculpts that interest me :p. All this 4th edition thing reminds me of "windows vista".

If we're going to include clix and SWM I probably don't want to think about it either.
It says I have nearly 500 on SW Shoebox but I have 0 dupes listed on there. I know that I have nearly 200 stormtroopers.
Between MageKnight, Heroclix and SportsClix I wouldn't know where to begin. I have full sets of most plus a lot of extras.
I have a set of Ral Partha Dragonlance heroes that I bought probably 20 years ago and 4 reaper minis.
Lots of HeroScape and LotR also. Most of the LotR I got at bargain basement prices though. I bought a Balrog set for $10.

| I would say about 1500 with all of the dupes, which includes SWM. It makes me cringe to think of the $$ that I spent, but it is well worth it.
