It's not Buy.com that's losing money, it's Google that's giving it away. I just spent a couple of minutes looking through the Google checkout faq, and apparently the bonus won't even show up on most merchant's invoices, so it looks like Google is paying the $10 for you.
That, I can't understand! Investment in the future, I guess. I suppose they might get a lot of folks to almost exclusively shop through google and thus boost their referral revenue. I tell you what. The concept is a good one and it could pay off. It'll be nice not having to remember so many log in/password combos for online shopping sites and not having to file my personal info in so many places (also reducing the number of updates I have to make when personal info changes). It's probably a lot more secure in the long run.

| | I haven't gotten mine, yet, but my brother got his 8 boosters. He got bitten (sort of) with the results of a completely random distribution. Out of his 8 rares, he got 3 Howlers. Hard to be bitter, though, considering how cheap the boosters were. And at least it wasn't 3 Succubus. | |

The deal is not dead. They are just out of BW boosters at the moment. You can still order the War Drums and Angelfire with the discount.Â

case you get them shipped in groups of how many you ordered in each
order. I was just lucky in my pulls i guess.  I

Exactly, I was aware of this offer pretty early on and probably could have dumped down an order for 10 or 20 times what I did, but in a fit of altruism, decided to only take a minimum order and be happy with it. There are a number of BW rares I only had one of and wanted to get dups of and at that price even the midlevel ones were a breakeven offer, and you get the other 7 minis as a bonus. I had traded in some older minis for a couple of cases from one shop and picked up the usual multicase GO pre-order.  Sometimes you just need multiple top end foes, like the battle with 4 Balors last spring my PC group was involved with (actually the Balor were the ones being summoned in that battle!) since we were almost at epic levels (17-18th level PC's).  And the number of minis is quite comfortably over 10K. | |
