Wraith - what kind of castle is that, and where can I get one?
I finally remembered to ask Chief about this. It's a Warhammer castle. He ordered it from the FLGS and paid $80-90 for it. | |

| A brief history of our campaign ..
The background story is the War of the Lance. The current group of heroes (Group II) are driven mainly by their wizard, now a member of the conclave of wizards of high sorcery in Wrayreth.
Story arc II-1 (sessions 17-22) :
On the day -14 (day 0 is 351 AC, Reoxmont 3 in Ergoth calendar), two veteran soldiers of the North Keep (a keep in the northern part of Abanasinia), Kamahl and Rafaelus were going to the city of Crossing. There, they revealed the betrayal of Amarillis, one of the merchant princes/princesses of Crossing. The dragonarmy which has conquered all Solamnia except the city of Palanthas, would invade Abanasinia and it was in need of ships. Amarillis came to an agreement with the dragonarmy. In their way back to North Keep they met the other two initial members of the group, the humans wizard Eledamir and his friend ranger Rephus. Eledamir was on a mission of the conclave, to find information on a portal which would be used from the dragonarmy clerics and wizards. Eledamir asked the commander of the North Keep to let him be accompanied by Kahaml and Rafaelus. On day -8, the group was traveling towards the northern Kharolis (Sentinel Peaks) where the portal was hidden.
In Urhuk's castle, where the native tribe of goblinoids were organized to participate in the war and become part of the new order, they manage to enter the castle, find the dragonarmy cleric working on the activation of the ancient portal and destroy it (day 14). Rafaelus was killed. The heroes found help in a forgotten tribe of humans on the mountains under the protection of a stone giant Avakaan. In the meantime, the invasion of the dragonarmy in Abanasinia had been started (day 4), and the goblinoids of Urthuk began their movement towards the plains of Abanasinia. Eledamir took the artifact used by the dark clerics and found that is a part of the black orb (lost from the Fistandantilus tower).
Story arc II-2 (sessions 22-26, 28-29) : The group together with a new member, a human barbarian named Anteies of the Avakaan's tribe, traveled to Solace which was under attack of the dragonarmy as well as the Gateway (the Seeker Elistan was trying to save time in negotiation with the dragonarmy while the people of Gateway were trying to escape towards the Solace and the Haven). Tika was accompanying them in search of his beloved Caramon. Out of Gateway, Anteies was killed but they manage to enter Quelinesti forest where they met the elves and the Speaker of the Sun. Gilthanas joined the group and they headed towards the Wayreth. Near the mountain passage between Qualinesti and Wayreth, a group of troglodytes attacked them. They survived but Eledamir was captured. They manage to save Eledamir as well as other elves from the lair of troglodytes. There they found one more part of the black orb hidden there. One of the captured elves that they saved was Melisanthi who got the grace of the good gods (as Goldmoon between humans). They arrived in Wayreth on day 42.
In the meantime (story arc I-1, sessions 1-8), Group I heroes (playing the classic group of the War of the Lance novel, Caramon, Raistlin, Sturm, Tanis, Flint, Tas) have met the dragonarmy in the northen plains of Abanasinia, found Goldmoon, and managed to bring her in Fort Balor north of Haven (day 44).
Story arc II-3 (sessions 30-32) :
In the next story arc, Eledamir informed the conclave about his findings concerning the black orb, Ladonna (head of the order of black wizards) revealed that her order tried to use the parts of the orb in their search of power, group II undertook a mission to retrieve one more part of the orb, as Ladonna said lost in a shipwreck in the Firewatch island (in the western coasts of Abanasinia not yet under control of the dragonarmy, near Goodbay). Tika and Mentasia died in Firewatch but they managed to get the part of the orb. In their way back, Vailen an elf cleric student of Melisanthi joined the group, they "saved" Valis from a dragonarmy group in Wayreth, an assasin of the dragonarmy trying to enter the powerfully hidden Tower of Wayreth and murder the head of the conclave Par Salian. In the last minute they managed to save Par Salian (day 70).
In the meantime Group I (story arc I-2, sessions 9-16, 27, 45) has involved in an internal conflict between the military force of Haven and the Seekers (pseudo clerics of Haven), where both wanted to use Goldmoon for their purposes. They managed to save Goldmoon from the Seekers and they escaped towards the Darkwood forest. There, on day 54, they met the Forestmaster (white Unicorn) who revealed to Goldmoon where they have to search for the Disks of Mishakal and bring the knowledge of the true gods to the people. They traveled on Pegasus to Xak-Tsaroth, they went down to the sunken city, fought the Onyx and got the disks (day 66).
Also on day 54 the Seekers left Fort Balor, and on day 55 dragonarmy attacked. The Haven has been under the control of the dragonarmy.
Story arc II-4 (sessions 33-37)
Group II heroes (Kamahl, Eledamir, Vailen, Rephus and others) undertook the mission to retrieve the knowledge on the weapons against the dragons from the ancient library of Tarsis. On their way towards Tarsis, they traveled to Swiftwater where they helped the forces of knights of Solamnia fighting the dragonarmy (battle of Kar Athur on day 83). They helped knights to drive back the dragonarmy forces and take Barter under their control.
Story arc II-5 (sessions 38-44, 46)
They traveled to Right and from there to Tarsis. Tarsis was occupied by the dragonarmy. They met people of the resistance in Tarsis (Fellowship). With the help of the God Paladine and the people of resistance, they managed to find the hidden part of the library where the invaluable knowledge of the history of the dragon wars, the legend of huma, the existence of the good dragons, the forging of dragonlances and more) was kept. On their way out of the sewers of Tarsis, they trapped and Kamahl and Vailen were killed, Eledamir was captured. Rephus saved as well as a member of the resistance Phineas.
Story arc II-6 (sessions 47, 49)
Rephus and Phineas escaped from Tarsis towards the rock tower where Porkell (former significant member of the goverment of Tarsis, father of Arunda they met in Wayreth) was hidden. The rock tower was in the southern Kharolis mountain, a place of no importance for the dragonarmy to search thoroughly. There, they met Porkel which lead them to Justarius (head of the red wizards of the conclave) who was also there. Rephus revealed the knowledge they acquired from the ancient library to Justarius (day 114). They stayed there until day 140 when Justarius informed that they could move to try to rescue Eledamir on its way as a prisoner through the northern plains of Tarsis. Together with Justarius, Gregor, Alfir and Prescott managed to rescue Eledamir near the village of Fajurn (day 144). They headed towards the Vast Swamps while Justarius left back to fight the red dragon Abithriax (Eledamir was just a decoy in order the dragonarmy to catch Justarius, the interrogation from the Erd the Dark had made Eledamir to reveal every bit of knowledge they got from the library to Erd, anyway). Justarius has asked Eledamir to go in the Duntol temple in a mission to reveal what the dragonarmy was searching in the Vast Swamps.
Story arc II-7 (sessions 50 - 59)
