| I just saw the scottwallace warning and would advise against Ironfist Boulderbender.Â
Ironfist has had 3 of my rares since August 4th, 2006 and has returned nothing but excuses.Â
I've heard numerous excuses from this guy. I know life can get in the way, but the last thing on his mind should be trading minis with the amount of critical problems he claims to deal with
I wish I had the sense to check this forum before I agreed to trade with him on the WOTC board.  He has repeatedly assured me I will receive my minis, but has not responded in two weeks, after numerous emails and PM's that he will send them tommorow, or in a day or two. (two months!)Â
For those of you who have had good trades with him, good for you and you have lucked out. I cant believe hes even allowed to post here after researching his history of the past few years.

| Well, i put it in this topic because i saw the scottwallace topic in this one. I thought this was the trading forum.Â
Likewise, If you do a search on this site on the numerous forums, you will see Ironfist Boulderbender has had alot of problems. Im glad hes had solid trades with some of you, but obviously not with everyone.
Just trying to warn people that hes scammed me, and has apparently (according to the histories here and on the wizards board) has scammed people he has previously good trades with.

| | IB is a decent trader, though frequently with... promptness issues. I've done several trades with him, and he always comes through in the end, but I think he tends to get himself too deep in too many trades at the same time and then gets behind on sending things out. If you're patient, he's a great trader. If you want your stuff within 2 weeks, he may not be your best bet. | | My H/W list is not current... There are at least two occassions in which Ironfist had several problem
trades at the same time go very long before resolution.
Hopefully, he will be able to resolve whatever problem trades he currently has before undertaking any new deals.

| I too have traded with Ironfist and everything went well. Of course it took 3 months to work out the trade, and I also made him send first based only on a few slow trades he had in the past.Â
IMO Ironfist is a good trader, albeit a little slow sometimes, and I would trade with him again anytime.Â

Yes, it is. However, he should come through eventually.
Ironfist is one of those interesting (and unique) traders who frequently has problems with follow through but always seems to do so, even after a long delay.
I truly believe his issues are out of his control ( [four letter word]Â happens) but it does make trading with him a bit of a risky propostion. As long as he were willing to send first, I would have no problem trading with him again. | | Ghendar - Now snark free!

| Posted By Grrrw on 09/29/2006 2:29 PM Isnt two months a bit excessive? Did he send first?  AFAIK he's under a self-imposed send first policy. Which, given his history, is fair. I've traded with him before, and I would again, as long as he sent first.

| Id like to say Ironfist Made good on our trades. It did take 2+ months, but he threw in a few goodies to make up for the delay. As long as he sends first, Id say hes good to deal with.
So, i the end, he isnt trying to to rip people off (the opposite actually), but just seems to be one of those people who gets into a jam .
If a moderator could edit the title to (lets discuss ironfist?) or delete the post entirely, thats fine by me.
