| | Nope. I actually haven't heard from him since about October. He and I agreed on a trade way back then, but it fizzled because he never sent and stopped responding to e-mails. He had agreed to send first, since he was up-front about having been somewhat unresponsive and slow to honor his trades over about the last year. Even though I didn't really lose anything, it was a bummer, since he was going to send me a Heartsblood Temple--that was back when they were still reasonably priced, before the Dreamblade 10K. | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X | |

Same here.
I've got a trade open with him too right now. We agreed to the trade a few weeks before Bloodwar was released. (Anybody remember when that was so I can get an idea of how long this one has been pending now?)
He agreed to send first, and I received some of the minis we agreed on. He then sent again to fill in the blanks and it didn't work out so well. Then he saw more on my list of haves that appealed to him so we renegotiated for some more minis since he still had those blanks spots that needed to be filled in by sending again. I haven't heard from him in quite some time now and I've got all these minis over here that are now on hold waiting for the arrival of the second set of minis he said were sent over a month ago. I'm not out anything and have no complaint other than it would be nice to hear from him so I can get this trade out of limbo.

| I live about 120 miles from him. In the past, he has been rather erratic with trades, but he is an honorable guy, I know he'll come through, it just may be a while. If I'm there anytime soon, I'll stop by and see what's up.

| This pattern of behavior continues. I honestly don't know why people continue to trade with him.
The
good news is that based on previous examples, you guys willeventually get your minis. The key word there is eventually and
unfortunately the only one who knows what "eventually" means, is
Ironfist himself.

More or less. I once accepted different minis of lesser total value just to resolve a disputed trade when he was coming back from his biggest layoff of over one year in duration.

| i have 4 successful trades with ironfist, unfortunately i can't say the last one went of without a hitch(some my fault, some his)
i waited for a long time and Ironfist came through and gave me metric crap load of repaints/promos for the hassle.
he has a self-imposed send first rule which is the only way i would trade with him again.
hopefully he will come through for you

| I had a trade with him some time ago, I never received from him and he said that while he received the poster I sent, the other package with mini's failed to show.
I can't say what happened, but for BOTH our packages to never arrive and with the reliability of the Finnish postal system (Now I'm back in the land of Canada Post), I just found it questionable.
Truth be said, if I had read at the time about all the problem trades he was having. I would have had him send first, just to have been on the safe side.

| | I feel bad because I defended him on the bad traders thread trying to reassure another poster that I believed that he would eventually get his mini's. | Keep in mind, although he says that he puts himself on a "send first" policy, I have a feeling that only means if the other trader brings it up first. Otherwise, he'll do a simu-send and the person doesn't get their minis for a few months.
I've done a trade with him where I made sure he sent first, but I asked him to send first since he said he would. Luckily I got his end pretty quick.
This is what, the 5th time he's done this?

| | I had two trades with him. Both times he sent first without me asking him to and I believe he brought it up first. In those exchanges there were no problems or hassles. | | While I can't speak for the rest of you, I for one don't have a dispute with him. I've received a portion of what he was supposed to send first and would simply like to get my trade with him cleared up and out of limbo. Only trouble is I still need for the rest to show up before I send. | | John

| Nearly another week goes by and still no word?
At what point does a guy get to put minis that have been on hold for a pending trade back on the chopping block?
I negotiated this trade with Ironfist in October, renegotiated it in November do to a glitch in the first sending of minis. I haven't heard from him since Jan 2. This one has been pending for 4 months and counting now. My only problem is that I have received a portiion of what I was supposed to from him. Can I put the minis that I have on hold for him back up for trade soon or do I just have to sit in limbo till he comes through? I guess I could always send him back what he has sent me already. But then I'm out the shipping.
Sure would be nice to hear from you soon Ironfist. Hope all is well with you. | | John

With this long of a delay, you should post in the Disputed Trades forum now. Yeah, I did a few days ago. It's just that I don't think that he's a bad trader (at least not intentionally - just preoccupied with real life issues) and didn't really want to list his name under a disputed trade. | | Champion of Gromph Baenre | |

I'd have to agree with you there.
I don't feel I even should put this in the disputed trades, since I already have some of the minis he agreed to send and haven't even had to send any to him yet.
When he's around the communication is usually very good. Something's got to be going on in the background that we don't know about. I'm gonna wait a little longer to see what happens. | | John

Disputed trade is not the same as bad trader. Before the disputed trade list was created, there was a bad traders list. The disputed trade list was created so that the stigma would not be there of "bad trader". If someone has multiple disputed trades, then it is a caution to anyone else in agreeing to a trade. Both bad traders and people who have disputed trades end up in the disputed trades thread.

| | Yeah, I get the purpose of the disputed trades thread. He already had a couple of disputed trades which was sufficient to warn other traders. Since I don't think that he's intentionally trying to screw me on this trade and seems like a nice guy I guess I just didn't want to pile on. | | Champion of Gromph Baenre | |
