On 04/18, Gerald posted that he recieved the package, and that everything was present and accounted for, at that time I queeried if he had any Iron Golems that we could possibly swap out for a rare or 2 he was supposed to be sending me. That was the last I had heard from him....I am still up in the air about reporting this as a "bad trade".
When I sent his package, I had to go with an extremely slow delivery method (I was looking at the cost of shipping vs. the value of the minis and it was almost equal if I were to send Air Letter Post) and I am under the impression that this may have been the way Gerald shipped also. I still have faith that he will come through, I have traded with several people in Austrailia and they all seem to be great.
Gerald, if you read this, pleasepleaseplease contact me. All I need to know is that things are still progressing. If you sent with a slow method, that's fine, I would just like to know if/when I will be recieving my end of the trade.
When these are resolved, I will request that they be removed from the disputed trades thread.

He was supposed to ship the following day. I told him during our negotiations that I would be completely booked and unable to ship until Tuesday 5/9/06. I was able to squeeze a trip to the post office in on Monday and ship on 5/8/06--though I was not able to get to a computer to record the trade until 5/9. I emailed him to let me know. This was one of several emails to him that has taken several days to be responded to. Several other emails I have sent since have gone unanswered for a few days to a week. He says he shipped on 5/6. However, he refused to mark shipped on the trade system until 5/23.
On 5/23, when he finally marked it shipped in the system, I received an email from him. That's the last I have heard from him.
The length of time could be legitimate (taking a month to get through the Canada/US mailing sytem). However, it is in connection with his poor communication that I am very concerned. The fact that neither of us has received (that I haven't gotten from him a package nor word that he has received mine) really concerns me. The likelihood of both packages having been mailed on or before 5/8/06 and not having arrived yet isn't very high.
When this trade becomes resolved, I will be happy to make a note of that here. | |

| Reluctantly I am posting a disputed with Kritter as well.
My trade was agreed on over a month ago and I shipped over three weeks ago. Both he and I have yet to receive.
I don't when exactly he shipped, when I asked him about when he would be shipping he clciked the ship button on 5/23/06 and said he had forgotten to update the trade until then. I have not received any other communication from him.
I hope this trade will be completed soon and friendly. When it does I will gladly post here. | |

Trade was accepted on 5/26. I sent on 6/2. Multiple emails have been sent, very few replies (contrasted with immediate emails back when setting up the trade.) Last reply was 6/13, where he promised to send that night. I've sent two emails since and gotten no reply.
Since this guy has scammed a number of us under different names, I'm under no illusions that I will get my minis back. However, I am researching the legal issues involved, and talking to law enforcement agencies about the best way to proceed with criminal charges. If anyone else has been scammed by this guy, please contact me so we can pool our information and get it into the correct hands.

Prior to that communication, and other than the MM Bizzo notification about him recieving the minis, the last time I had heard from him was on April 9, and he's claiming that he had e-mailed me multiple times before adding my name to the disputed trades list. There was no communication durring that timeframe.
I have e-mailed him asking just for some communication, even saying he is holding onto the minis he is supposed to send for a month like I had inadvertently done "an eye for an eye, so to speak", but still nothing....I believe that I have made a very valid effort to get this trade resolved, but with no communication, I have little choice but to ask LabMonkey to add Garate to the list of disputed traders.
Of all people, I know that "life happens" and gets in the way of your trading life and therefore, I am very forgiving and patient. All I need is to know you're still breathing and that I will eventually get the minis promised...in case you forgot, there's a copy of the trade below

| i have to post that i have recieved from corim danex and i returned his minis as he requested, i now sit missing my 4 rares and i must conclude that he is sitting on them as i recieved only the package i sent to caustic mouse back

| I did receive my miniatures back from kritter yesterday and want to remove his name from the disputed trade list. I forgot to post here last night that my dispute with him was over.
The only package I ever received from him was the return of the miniatures that I sent him along with two epic cards. I left the feedback that I did due to the problems with communication that occurred during the trade and related issues.
The package he sent back to me with the miniatures I originally sent to him was postmarked 6/13/05. I received it on 6/21/06. | |

I will add his name if you'd like, but from what your describing, it sounds like a potential postage problem (if one package that you sent at the same time was returned). To be clear: are you reporting suspected scamming or are you reporting a failed trade? I read what you're saying as suspected scamming because you suggest that he's sitting on your minis. Please clarify and I'll add his name to the list.

| Cormin Danix has me on his disputed trade list as a person to watch out for. Nothing happened between us other than a deal I didn't want to do after negoiation. Whom ever checks this plz let him know that if he can't complain about people not wanting to trade with him. b\c now I have alot of people who don't want to make trades b\c they think I am shaddy. As for the tactician complaint how can he complain when he openly admits he didn't send until after he received my end and on top of that we were supposed to send at the same time. I find that if you can put someone under the disputed trade even though the trade went through than that is ******. Sometimes things come late heck but it came so chill out and give a guy a chance. I have never got figures and didn't hold up my end of the deal.

If you feel you've been put on the disputed trades list in error, I encourage you to explain things here. If you can provide evidence (such as DC numbers, etc.) that your disputed trades were completed OR if you can convince Corim Danex to remove his dispute, I'd be happy to remove your name from the list.
Please avoid using derogatory terms in your posts. Maxminis is an open and welcoming community and we'd like to keep it that way.

| I would like to register a trade dispute with kritter, as well. We had negotiated a trade of four of my minis for three of his; I forget what the uncommons involved were, but the rares were my Blue Slaad and Half-Elf Bow Initiate for his Large Blue Dragon.
He notified me about a month ago that he had received my minis. I have waitied patiently for his return package ever since. All my emails to kritterz@hotmail.com have gone unanswered.

we started talking trade on Jan 14 and you agreed to send first, which you said would be delayed because of your baby and everything. on Feb 6 i emailed you again asking if 3 weeks was enough of a delay and your response on the 7th was that you sent it, weirdly, the very day i emailed you. hmmm. then lets add to that, when i recieved it on Feb 22 the stamp said it was mailed on the 14th of Feb.
now on June 28th you post that i ripped you off, so in 4 months, I haven't heard from you, you never posted about anything to the boards in all that time and that's the wrong email address, i have had the same email address linked to maxminis since the start and thats been over 2 years.
i find it hard to believe his whole story and it seems to me that corim danex's post has already smeared my name

| I'm not judging anyone. I did not post that you "ripped me off;" I don't really know what your situation is. I merely stated that I have sent DDM figures to you and received none in return.
Yes, I was quite late in sending my end. My daughter was born on January 29th of this year, so it was an extremely hectic time for me. However, I allowed much longer than I felt was reasonable for posting here.
I will send you another email, but I will post my question here as well: did you ever send your end of the trade? If so, then you or I (or both of us) need to contact the postal carrier you used. If not... then this trade remains disputed.

Me in my young state of mind said "hey I didn't do anything wrong." Cormin never even sent anything to me nor did I send to cormin. That is the thing about this no transaction was made so why do I get penealized for it? | |

I just got back from a business trip in which I didn't have email access for about five days.
I didn't intend to list our trade as disputed. Someone else posted something about negotiations with you (I can't remember the details of that--who it was or what the situation was exactly). I added my comments that you had backed out on a trade after confirming the trade. According to the standards of maxminis, after addresses are exchanged and a trade is agreed upon, if someone backs out, that is bad protocol. This is what happened with us. We made negotiations, agreed, exchanged addresses. And then you backed out. It is bad form to back out after the commitment of exchanging addresses is made. There have been several times I have realized after committing to a trade that I didn't really want to make the trade (for example, I am a collector that wants one of each mini and I made a trade thinking I had two of a given rare, but after committing to the trade, I realized I only had one. I then went ahead with the trade and obtained that rare I had given up in the trade from somewhere else).
Lab Monkey can remove my name from having a dispute with you. I just want you to understand that it's not good form (in the future) for you to commit to a trade and then back out--even if the trade is no longer the best option for you. Just be careful about the commitments and you'll be a better trader. Best wishes with your future trading. | |

I didn't realize that my post smeared your name. That wasn't my intention. I have posted that I do not have a disputed trade with you. I have stated that there were email communication problems I had with you. You returned all the miniatures that I sent you, since you (from what I can tell) decided not to send the miniatures to me that you had agreed to. As I have the miniatures back, I have no dispute. I was frustrated that I never received anything from you. Regarding the email communications--part of good trading is (reasonably) promptly responding to email messages from people you have ongoing trades with. There were numerous times when your response was slow (a week or more). You said that you mailed to me the same time I mailed to you (within a day or two). (3) You responded very slowly to my emails and overall the communication was poor
(4) We do not have a disputed trade from my perspective
(5) I never received the package containing the four miniatures you agreed to send me, though you said you had sent it (I don't know if it's because the Canadian postal system did something like misplace it or if you never sent it to me) | |

Once addresses have been exchanged, it is extremely bad form and bad protocol to back out of the deal. The right thing to do at that point is follow through with the trade, not back out. I had this exact thing happen to me once. I had the minis all packed up and almost mailed them before the other trader decided he was going to back out because he got a better offer. Needless to say, I was pissed and to this day, I will not trade with this individual.

I removed Corim Danex's dispute with jeremiahcarissa because Corim Danex has withdrawn his complaint. Please do realize though that once addresses are exchanged a trade is considered a deal and can be listed as in dispute. Check out the trading guidelines for more general information on this topic

I also removed Tactician's dispute with jeremiahcarissa because Tactician has been permanently banned from this site (and is a suspected alias for the known scammer Cha0tic G0od).

| EDIT : Gerald contacted me tonight so at the moment no legal action will be taken. I do, however, reserve the right to persue legal actions if matters are not cleared sometime soon. Gerald and I are working to resolve the problem and hopefully we can have this dispute removed soon!
EDIT again : I would like to CURRENTLY withdraw my dispute against me_is_fred. He and I have communicated and I found out that the problem lies in the method of shipping, not the shipping itsself and everything should be solved by August 14. I would, however, like to reserve the right to re-institute this dispute if the problem has not been solved in the alotted time frame.

Once that deadline expires, if I have not recieved either an e-mail from you (with a VERY good explination as to why I have not recieved the minis yet) or the minis you owe me, I will be filing mail fraud charges. These will be felony charges, if my information is correct, due to the fradulent act being perpetrated through the US Postal Service, it is an international incedent and the value is over $500 USD. I believe that qualifies for Grand Larceny Mail Fraud and I believe it is punishable by up to 20 years in a US Federal prison. I will also be contacting the Austrailian postal authorities to persue pressing charges {EDIT: against you} in your own country.
To avoid this, please contact me. I will be e-mailing you a copy of this, along with forwarding a copy to Lab Monkey for his records.
I will also be posting this on the MaxMinis site, just in case your e-mail is malfunctioning for whatever reason.

| well i can say that Corim Danex doesn't have my minis anymore
my package finally made it home
although it looks to me like it was stepped on and dragged behind a truck for a week
amazingly enough nothing is missing and/or wrecked
finally it's over | |

Well I agreed to a trade with jeremiahcarissa on June 30th, after some trade haggling it was agreed he himself said he would send first. July 1st but IIRC he posted on his trade thread that he wasn't able to ship until Monday the 3rd because of a tourney that previous Saturday.
Long story short I have had no contact from him since 7/5.
I emailed him on the 7/14, requesting a DC for the package and have rec'd no reply. According to standard delivery thru our wonderful postal system, a package is considered lost after 2 weeks.
I haven't sent yet but I am only wondering.....if others are having a problem with him recently? | |

He has a history of some problems. Until recently he had disputed trades with Tactician and Corim Danex.
I removed the dispute with Tactician because of Tactician's banning and because he is allegedly an alias for Cha0tic G0od. There's simply no way to resolve a trade with a member that has been banned from this community. Tactician doesn't respond to my emails either so there's no way for me to get more information on the situation.
I also removed his dispute with Corim Danex because Corim withdrew his complaint. If I recall correctly, in that situation a trade was agreed upon, addresses were exchanged and then jeremiahcarissa backed out when a better trade offer came in. If Corim hadn't withdrawn the complaint, that dispute would still be listed.
That's all I have; best of luck. I'm glad you didn't agree to simultaneous shipping. May I list this as a disputed trade? | |
