| Hi, I'm looking to buy some singles from online stores. Zenako's stickied list of such stores was a great help.
Is www.battleworks.net a reliable store to buy from? What about www.strikezoneonline.com? Have anyone bought from these stores, and was there any trouble with the transactions?
Also, what about iconusa? I've heard that they do not have any singles in stock, but only start bringing them in when an order is recieved. Which also means they may not be able to fulfil the orders recieved. Is this true? Makes me very reluctant to buy from them...
I appreciate any help you guys can give me regarding the 2 stores above, battleworks and strikezoneonline. Thanks a lot in advance!

Can't say much for either site above. I've used Coolstuffinc.com and they've been solid in the past. CGarmory looks to keep an inventoried stock as well so you might try that one as well. | | You see! There ARE others out there just like me. What? Why are laughing?

| Are you an eBay member? If so, have you checked out Auggie's? I know he's one of the eBay favorites around here with some other Maxminiers. And my husband & I have bought a bunch of minis from him a number of times. One of my favorite sellers of single minis.
Here's the link for you, if ya wanna check his store out: http://stores.ebay.com/Auggies-Games-n-Movies_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkm

| When I first started collecting minis I bought a fair amount of product from Battleworks (service and availibility were always good), until their shipping rates went up. Soon after, I discovered the wonderful world of maxminis and the joys of ebay stores, and found that I could buy them for much less $$$. Of course the trade off is that some of the online stores try to keep stocks of the olders sets, but you will pay an arm and a leg for them. With just a little extra effort you can get minis from older sets here at maxminis from reputable sellers, or buy from ebay stores (a few do try to stock the older minis) and save a good chunk of change.

| Thanks guys!
I'm an ebay member but I don't live in the states, otherwise I'll be buying ALL my pieces from Auggies'.
Do you mean there are sellers on maxminis? How do I go about buying stuff from them? All this while I thought only trading was available on the boards...

| Check some of the other threads in this forum. Quite a few members offer their minis for sale from time to time. Probably at prices slightly higher than EBAY, but lower than the stores.
As for the two you asked about, I have had over 20 dealings with Strikezone and all have been fine. Nothing personal to date with Battleworks, but someone from that shop is a poster/member on these boards and is pretty responsive from what I have seen. | | Built the addition for this addiction, now on to the "gaming table" project.... http://www.maxminis.com/hw_list.asp?user=Zenako last updated 29 May 2006 Set Status: in a nutshell = all of all In Process trades 0), (Sig last updated 05/29/06) 300 plus Completed Trades -

| Thanks for all the help! As well as the offers I've recieved, too bad I've already made my purchases before reading your emails... sorry...
I've made an order with battleworks.net, namely because they have the items I wanted in sufficient quantities. And it's been over 2 weeks since they said they've shipped out the items. But I've still yet to recieve it. 2 emails to them regarding this issue have both not been replied.

It depends on where you are (and what sort of shipping is being used). Speaking for myself, I've had packages coming airmail from the US take anything from a week to a month. (I'm in Australia). I've heard people in Europe talking about similar or slightly longer time frames. Christmas holidays may also add further delays. If it was me, I'd give it at least another week before I started to worry.
