| I won a series of auctions from Mage Ink (the_faust) back at the end of August and beginning of September. I paid via Paypal on September 5, which was well within the payment time limit of all auctions. The seller emailed me that he had sent the items using DC#9101150134711959943506 (which, if you check the USPS website, it confirms that he printed a shipping label, but nothing more). On September 26, I emailed him to ask about the status of the shipment, since I still hadn't received it. On September 29, I emailed him a second time, since I hadn't received any response. Finally, on October 3, he sends me two emails: "It has been sent. Let me get with the Post Office to see if anything is going on. :)" and "Sorry for the delayed response. We have been on vacation since Sept. 20th. What was the question?". I responded to his emails on October 5, again asking about the status. On October 7 (more than a month after I paid for it), I sent him a final email laying out my complaint once again, and asking him to try to resolve it without getting to the dispute level. No response. I opened a dispute with Paypal on October 10 to try to get my money back. Still no response. Finally, on Monday (October 15) I leave him negative feedback, complaining about not receiving any shipments and no communication. Today, I find that I now have retalitory feedback accusing me of fraud. Plus, I apparently have three disputes accusing me of not paying, which he knows is false because Paypal recorded the payment. Beware of this seller! He obviously withheld feedback from me until I left feedback for him, even though I paid within 24 hours of winning my last auction. Sellers who use these type of tactics should be avoided at all costs. | | Champion of the Thoqqua | |

| I met aron1 at GenCon, and had the pleasure of playing a match against this gentleman during the Swiss rounds of the DDM Championship. We've even had a chance to trade. I would trust what he says, and watch out for this questionable online seller.

Undoubtedly, he has an ebay ranking of 12000+, so there must be a decent number of people like yourself who have not had problems. However, just know that if the sale goes bad, he will go as far as he can to drag your name through the mud, even if the fault is entirely his. | | Champion of the Thoqqua

Thanks, although I sincerely doubt that it will, at this point. This guy is doing whatever he can to screw me. | | Champion of the Thoqqua

Thank you. I didn't know which forum to post it in, and I didn't want to post it in multiple forums. I figured (correctly) that a Mod would move it if it were more appropriate somewhere else. | | Champion of the Thoqqua

Yeah, I get what you are saying. It sucks that you are getting screwed about this, and my one transaction is hardly a glowing report if he's got 12000+ sales. Hope you get it sorted out. | | Maxminis Trade List.

| Well as sometime seller and frequent buyer of items from EBAY I can offer a couple of thoughts. I always use the standard DC labels and get them scanned at the Post Office. This puts them into the system when mailed, not just when delivered. (had the same issue with the automated machines avalable at some PO's, they will print out a DC label but they do not get scanned when mailed, since there is no assurance once scanned that the parcel is actually placed into the incoming box. This helps protect me as a shipper. (Granted I could be sending nothing but stryrofoam peanuts, but something was mailed.) Using the autoprinted labels has some of those same issues from what I have seen.
On to the faust, I havve purchased from that seller numerous times without incident. The DC is in the system, but does not indicate that it was ever delivered. To me that would indicate that the parcel was "missing in the mail". Small time sellers often post a disclaimer about not being responsible for lost items, but a more seasoned seller might be willing or able to settle the matter if the evidence indicates that the item never arrived. | | Built the addition for this addiction, now on to the "gaming table" project.... http://www.maxminis.com/hw_list.asp?user=Zenako last updated 29 May 2006 Set Status: in a nutshell = all of all In Process trades 0), (Sig last updated 05/29/06) 300 plus Completed Trades -
