Eventually I want to taken inventory of my DDM collection. Should I (a) create an Excel file from scratch and then import to Maxminis, or (b) store the info here at Maxminis and then export an Excel file as needed?

What about exporting to other online databases, like D&D Shoebox and Hordelings?

Generally I'm looking for advice, as the task is rather daunting and I want to go about it in the most efficient way possible.

Thanks,

Lance

My advice is to structure the information in a form you can use at home at all times, such as Excel, MSAccess or any database program. Check to see if it inports easily to sites like this, but I would not tie up my master list on any website. This site could suddenly go awol (server crash, someone pulling the plug, nefarious activity, etc) and it would a shame to lose all that information.

I personally use Excel at this point but have toyed with expanding to an Access DB.

Built the addition for this addiction, now on to the "gaming table" project....

I generally use excel (if I'm *ahem* working), but I don't have access to excel from home.

So at home I use MS Works Spreadsheet. I lose some of the features of excel (such as being able to keep a running tally of the value of all combined sets and having multiple worksheets), but it works OK. Works has the ability to open a single excel worksheet and work with that so it's not completely useless.

It's just that I have one excel file and 10 Works files.

In fact, I should be just about due to update those files again.

I have an excel sheet with mine, plus store the info here in my H/W list, and use that in Bifurs.
