We hadn't yet moved to the new server, one that can handle Maxminis-like traffic and more. I'm working on doing that now.

Jai said it's supposed to be a seperate page with different hosting. At least I hope so, I never went to hordelings because it fails to load the page from being so friggin' slow. It's like someone is hosting the site on their home computer with dial up. [:(]

h/w lists can be exported to a tvs file that can be imported to hordlings. go to the bottom of your h/w export it and save the webpage it exports too, that can be imported thre when the server issue is fixed. | |

| Thanks Aesoph. I figured that there would be a fairly simple way to transfer things. I keep a separate record on my HD in Excel anyway, so if I had to I could probably generate a compatible table from that too.

Well, at least at the moderator level, we don't know any more than you do about what is happening here. Jai, Chris and Merric may know more, but from what they've said so far I don't think this is the case.
Yesterday, Jai did let us all know that since the passwords have been changed, he didn't intend to make anymore changes to Maxminis. "I'm done here" is exactly how he put it.
Beyond that, all we can do is speculate until we hear more from the powers that be. | |

One doesn't just summarily lock out somebody who's done so much work on a site without a very good reason, unless one is a complete jerk. Now it's possible that there IS a good reason, and if so, I'm open to hearing it.
But absent a very good reason, I think I'm done here as well. Because I won't put time, energy and thought into posts at a place where there's an erratic driver at the wheel, so to speak. | |

| Well that's a bummer. I don't like the layout of Hordelings at all so until there are major changes to make it more maxminis-like I doubt I'd migrate over. I just can't take the small frame size.

| Absent a very good reason, I'm done here as well.
Hordelings is not ready for the community due to (1) hosting issues, and (2) layout issues.
I intend to pick up this hosting plan http://www.ixwebhosting.com/index.php/home.dspPage/page/info.dspBusinessPlus for 2 years, set up a forum (phpbb 2.0.21, unless someone recommends a better one) there, that mirrors the layout of maxminis. All moderators are invited to take up their positions there.
Depending on the evolution of those forums and hordelings, I may not may not continue the forumns at the end of 2 years.
