| For what it's worth, I feel that this is the right decision. I love Maxmini's dearly, but it is time for an upgrade.

Well, misusing the word that I did offends only a subset of Christians, but telling someone what to do when you have no authority over them offends pretty much everybody. Since Christians are a subset of everybody, I'm thinking you were more offensive. Your mileage may vary.
But anyway, now that it's been brought to my attention that this offends, I'll officially apologize and commit to not using that word on this board. Will you also apologize and commit to being more polite? I may be atypical, but this isn't the first time I've found a post of yours to be needlessly abrasive due to lack of common courtesy. | |

As to on topic this IMHO really does belong in this forum as it relates to the "forums". It is nice that other forums get some traffic. Just because something is posted here doesn't mean that it is not of note. Heck, I try to stay informed of all the things going on here. But sometimes you miss things.....I missed the whole 2.0 discussion. It happens....so lets remember to show each other common courtesy. We might need to trade for stirges or something...[:D]
As to the state of the site I am unsure as there are wiser and more learned folk about the things that can and can't be done. but when I see a good idea I will throw some support behind it until. Unless, someone shows why it can't be, i.e. technical reasons like that can't be done because of reasons X, Y, and Z etc... | |

I'm a little puzzled why you are so concerned about a perceived offence against someone else.
I accept your apology, and apologize to avrivah, if he was offended. I see no reason to apologize to anyone else for something as trivial as not typing please.
Also in this circunstance I do feel I have a certain amount of authority, as I was the author of the thread, and it was obvious, if not explicitly stated, that the conversation was intended to occur in the linked thread.
I do however think that politeness is a good thing, and always strive to improve in this area. | |
