| When I look at maxminis from work, I am missing almost all the graphics.
- everyone's avatars
- the logo at the top
- the little tree for the level of forums (this one doesn't matter)
- all the buttons above posts, except for the hwlist, trades, trade references
- smilies
- the formatting buttons on the edit post screen
- the folder icons in the first column of the forum view (to tell whether it's new or not).
I think it's been happening since the server was changed.
It's really annoying, does anyone have a good idea about how to fix it? (yes, I have rebooted) | | | |

For some reason (probably money/bandwidth saving) many of those pictures are being hosted by photobucket. Not a new server.(http://s72.photobucket.com/albums/i190/maxminis )
IMO this slows it down a bit but .
I guess your work has blocked photobucket. I know mine has by default (but not imageshack for some reason).
If you are prepared for a lot of work, and have configuration rights on your work puter it would be possible to fix on your side.
If photobucket isnt blocked at your site (try the above link) then post about it & I`ll try other ideas,

That makes sense, photobucket is blocked at work.
I guess I will no longer be looking at maxminis from there, cause I'll show up in the websense log as having tried to get a picture from photobucket hundreds of times a day.

| | it sure does slow it down and I think that's a bad idea. A lot of people can view maxminis.com from work but a vast majority cannot view photobucket, doing this just kills them; perhaps that was the intent besides freeing up space? less traffic and stress for the site? | |

| | Go to "Tools", "internet options", the "advanced" tab, DE-select the check-box for 'show pictures' and you're good! Plus, it's a lot more generic looking and less likely to get you into trouble when the nosey co-workers come sniffing around your machine! | |

At present, we're probably on an "interim" server. It's more powerful, yes, but not quite what the webmaster wants. So, he's set up hosting on another site, and Wuzzard and he are investigating the issues involved with a full move over there.
This will probably mean a big revamp of the forum code & stuff. From what I can gather, all accounts will be preserved. Posts? I rather suspect they will be, but I don't really know at this point. People are still testing things.
As a result, a few of the minor issues troubling us (i.e. avatars) have dropped down the priority queue, although major issues (i.e. have/want list errors) are being dealt with - I hope. I've certainly brought all issues you post here to their attention.
