| Hi,
Twice, i have received a series of three almost identical posts by
email, each series representing a post that was made in a the forum (in
the bluespawn promo contest thread, to be more precise). Below is
a copy/paste of one such email i received. Please note that i have not
checked the "email me if something is posted in this thread" box in
that particular thread; and i have verified that i had not (somehow!)
checked it by mistake before posting here.

The series of three posts had the same content, however not the same format. Thus, the third post i received looked like this:

| I am still having all sorts of problems finding other traders Reference Thread and or information on other traders. Before the new system I used to me able to type in another users name and find them and infor on them (ie refernce thread, contact info, etc...). You could further get this info by clicking on their user name in a thread and get to the same information. It becomming very hard to get things done, contacting other members, finding trade info.

| Whenever I use the minimize forum on the AAM boards, it minimizes the General board(s) as well (a little foolish since there is only one board on it). When I click to expand the General board(s), it expands the AAM boards. | | | |

| The threads on the starwars ships forum look seriously miss-formated.
[LCS]
If the formatting is changing over the course of a page (with the
columns becoming more and more narrow as you go down the page) it is
usually because of broken html within a user's signature. It
appears that some signatures are being truncated without warning if
they are too long (whether from the transfer to html from the boards
transition or when a user updates their sig), and if they are cut off
in the middle of a link it breaks the tags which normally keep the post
width consistent. You can generally identify the signature that is
causing the column resize by looking at where the column size changes,
since the posts following the broken signature are resized to fit
within the column of just the body of that user's post. If you
notice similar problems in any other threads, post here to let me know
and I will contact the user whose sig is causing the problem.

| Bug: truncated signatures causing formatting errors
Some signatures were truncated when they were transfered over from the old boards and converted to html. If this was the only source of truncated signatures, we would be able to take care of it by asking those users to fix their sigs.
Unfortunately, there is no indication where editing your signature that it is too long, so users who are editing their signatures in "My Settings" are accidentally making them too long, and having them truncated by the forum software without any warning.
This is causing formatting problems in various threads (which change as some users fix their signatures and others accidentally break them). | | | |

| Trade screens no worky in Firefox. :(
[LCS] What are you trying to do that is causing
errors (H/W, trade interface, trade search)? What version of Firefox
are you using? (all of the trade functions seem to be working fine in
Firefox when I try from here, using an old version v1.0 Mac)

I was having this problem for a while too. If I logged out, and logged back in, and then went to the post I wanted to edit, I could edit it. But, any time I went to edit a post, I had to be careful, because if I did anything* but edit that post, I'd lose the ability to enter anything into the text box. I could pound on the keyboard or click with the mouse all I wanted, but I'd get nothing.
*By anything I mean, if I clicked the browser's Back button, or used Alt-Left Arrow to go back, or if I navigated away to another page.

| Can you fix the "formatting" bug?
It's horrendous to see posts that are various sizes. Some are sreen sized, some are little blocks, soome, the are for the avatar is 90% of the screen with 10% devoted to the actual post.
This new fangled site may look nice, but the varied widths of posts is... well.. annoying and useless to me.
Standardize the site. Make the widths of these things FIXED, not variable.
Also, when you click "reply" the window for typing in your reply is a tiny little box.

| There's a few problems for me but they have already been mentioned by other people:
1. If I create a post, preview it, and hit the back button on my browser to edit it, I am unable to delete the text. I have to back out again and hit the reply button all over. Luckily I always copy my text before I preview it so I can paste it down without losing it (a habit I learned from years of posting & emailing).
2. Sometimes when I make a post, my reply is jammed to the right side of the screen. The posts before mine "tree" down, going further and further to the right until you hit my post at the bottom far right.
3. The avatar portion to everyone's post is still really big. About 2 1/2 times as big as their avatars. I've cleared my cache and it still does this.
I'm using Firefox.

It would be really nice if the ID portion of the screen were
significantly smaller. Is there a limit on avatar sizes any
longer? It used to be, what, 96 pixels?

| I don't know what happened, but as of this AM (8/29) Maxmini's no longer fits on my computer screen. It was fine last night but now seems much wider. Even the new Forums has the same problem. Please advise. Thanks.

I can say this without hesitation: having to scroll from side to side to read and make posts, and having the interface changing by little bits all the time are substantially driving down my pleasure with using the site. It's making me sad, really. Dave
