| I think it depends on the url listed under the avatar name. Long ones lengthen the left hand column and make the right hand side with the post smaller. I could easily be wrong, but it's a trend I've noticed so far.

If we could somehow have names flow onto two or more lines, and if we could get rid of the webpage information, it wouldn't be that bad. | |

Well, it's a start. We should (IMO) just have "Homepage" under the person's screen name as opposed to the (whole or partial) address of the site. Most of us are clever enough to figure out how to view the actual destination address without having it spelled out. Of course, I happen to be an offender on both accounts. I swear that this name seemed clever at one point in time. | |

Well, maybe if enough people say it enough times the change will be made. The board editors seem to be taking criticism very well and make those adjustments hat make sense.

We are trying not to make source code modifications to the forums, since the forums software is supported and updated regulary. However, it would be a good suggestion to make the display configurable. It seems some of the other forum's displays are configurable via an XML file. | | | |

Also, I have had some very bad formatting issues with the tables when viewing the site in FireFox (current build) - switching to IE has solved the problem but.. er.. well, its IE - it stinks. | |

Even Clan of the Cave Beer's link (above) pushes my screen to about 1/3 of the way (not ragging on you CCB, just using your link as an example). Viewing the same post in IE does indeed fix that problem; but I won't be using IE simply to view a forum, sorry.
