| List the bugs you find with the new (as of 9/2/06) forums.
I'll start with one. Sirohk wants the professor smiley face, which isn't really a bug, however he has been persistent in asking for it, and it wasnt hard to add, so here it is:

| The latest update removed all the typing options such as size, styles, color, and so on. I loved the feature because it was just like Microsoft word. Also, you can't copy within your post editing, but you can paste if you copy from somewhere else.
Another problem since the latest update is that the links in my signature all default to the forums main page. What caused that?

is it redirecting to the new forums? yeah thats a bug I'm trying to solve, apparently in DNN. It doesn't want to take the new home page... the redirect was a kludge to get it to go to the new forums

| I've had another occurrence happen of a bug reported in the old forums. Namely, i've received a couple of (presumably automated) emails from webmaster@maxminis.com containing a message posted on a forum that i also posted to. The two emails contained the same message, with a different format however (my neophyte exaplanation: one appears to be HTML, the other plain text). I have received no other emails of messages posted in that thread, and i never asked to be email when someone posted in that thread.

If you go to your profile (by clicking on the "My Profile" link on the right side just above the forum content) and then click on the "Subscriptions" tab, is the thread shown there? You should be able to stop the notifications by removing the thread from that list. | | | |

| I started a seperate thread of my own on this and I'm also posting them here.Â
Just thought I'd bring up a few items that I've come across while playing around here at Maxmini's:
1) I'm still having trouble searching for members. It was much easier in the old forums.Â
2) Once I find someone, it can be even harder to find thier trade references (especially their old references).Â
3) What are these boxes to / on the left hand side of my screen? They seem very reduntant and take up space that I would rather see as fourmus whre I can read more on a single screen.Â
These as of ~4:30 PM 9/3/06 seem to have been moved to the top of the Forums and are even more of a space issue.Â
4) Still no Smiley faces when I Write / Edit posts to add to the posts (I especially like the Professor as noted elsewhere).Â
Other than those (and I'm sure there are other), i'm really liking the way things are heading. Great job all and keep up the good work.Â

If you click on your name (top right of the screen) and then click on Manage Profile, and then scroll to the bottom, you should be able to set your time zone. At least, that's how I got my post times to be at the right time.

Also note that we have to prioritize what we're working on, as some missing or broken features are more important than others.

| - The navigation bar on the left has started to show scrollbars.
- Dreamblade forums are still on top instead of DDM
- "My forums" link should read "My Posts"
- My member join date reads 1/1/0001 which is a little before I did join.

The Have/Want list appears to be partially broken at the moment. I cannot update my list when I make changes to the "Organized Play" section of the list. Everytime I try to save changes I get the following message:
Error: Incorrect syntax near '1'.
Query:
Hope this can be fixed in the near future.

Query:
This is due to a problem with the H/W data for your user account (having a duplicate record, for the Stalwart Paladin in your case), rather than a universal problem.
I will fix your H/W data in a few minutes, which will make the problem disappear, although eventually the code will need to be fixed to handle this error better.

| The sub forums that I keep closed (AAM, DreamBlade, Starwars) will open up on their own. Usually just one at a time. This happens on two different machines. Both are running IE6 with SP2.

More specifically, when you click on the icons for View References, View Email, or View Profile, a new window pops up with a 404 error. The View Have/Want List and View Trades work properly.
The email and profile links underneath user's avatars should now be working properly. Keep in mind that if you send an email from that link, your email address will be included as the return address.
The "Reference Thread" link still needs additional work done to make it functional.

| | I'm surprised nobody posted this (or I missed it) but LCS informed me that the trade counter offers weren't working. I think they are fixed, but please test it and let me know. Also, I added a CC: to the emails of both new and counter offers that will hopefully email to the sender, again courtesy of LCS bringing it up. Please let me know if these fixes worked for you. | |

| A problem thats is probably just on my end, but I only get a few edit controls (see atatched pic below) on my 'add reply'. I get the full range of controls for editing my sig and in other areas I think, but not when I add reply.

This is (mostly) due to a problem with the H/W data for your user account (having a duplicate record, for the Longtooth and Combat Medic repaints in your case), rather than a universal problem.
I will fix your H/W data in a few minutes, which will make the problem disappear, although eventually the code will need to be fixed to handle this error better.
(edit: it's also possible that using the xml import/export may have caused this because of the duplicate id numbers for the Longtooth/Burning Skeleton and Tiefling Blademaster/Combat Medic, so please double check that the quantity for all four are correct. The Combat Medic's id number should be fixed the next time the H/W mini information is updated, and we'll have to figure out a solution for the Longtooth/Burning Skeleton.). | | | |

Its a real pain to have to manually type the line breaks.
This problem is only happening for me in the add reply screen and when I quote someone but not the quick reply box.

hmm this is really strange. For me I just press return. Are you trying to use html view? You should be using Design view (the tab below where you type the message).

thats the editor thats built into th forums, its simplified i think because people complain sometimes about load time etc. LCS may know how to add more features, hes been studying the forums | |

I cannot initiate a trade in the interface. It says I am not logged on (which I am) and that I should enter it through MaxMinis (which I did).

For example, my account is technically "kestrel.ca", but my screen name is "kestrel" (as set in profile). Searching for "kestrel" returns a 404. | |
