| Of absolute necessity is the instant bumping of trading and reference threads when you edit them and the ability to rename our threads, my references thread starts with my number of trades and is now off by a few trades. I am surely not the only one that feels this way. | |

I have noticed two missing or broken function.
Trades can no longer be updated by email, I get an error and have to log on maxminis to update my trades. Before, it could be done by simply accessing the trade interface via email without logging on maxminis.
Edited posts no longer bear the "last edited by xyz at w hour. This is not a major issue, just something I noticed. | |

I assume that you are referring to the link that gets auto-generated to be placed on the bottom the any trade emails that get sent out using the trade interface?

OK, now I understand. So the issue here is that the link that is provided in the email that gets sent out at the bottom of each email from the trade interface currently points to http://www.maxminis.com when it used to point to that user's version of the trade interface.

And the login is funky. Doesn't 'take', had to login about half a dozen
times before I could get back here. No error message or such, just
"logs in" but still says I'm not logged in.
And the "Remember Login" doesn't stay checked either.

The Email Works (The LINKS under the Avatar are not linked correctly. Just fix the links and everything should work.
The email and profile links underneath user's avatars should now be working properly. Keep in mind that if you send an email from that link, your email address will be included as the return address.

Just to double check what you are doing
- Writing the text to link
- Selecting the text (highlighting it)
- holding the control button and pressing K. You must have text selected.
(Not doing a control + k then text is what I just want to make sure isnt happening)
I might try it in firefox later today, but dont have netscape installed anywhere.
If you use Windows you can use word or openoffice to do all your editing and copy n paste it in as another work around. I imagine any rich text editor would so try it if you use a mac too.

Yup. Tried it with the above. Checking to see if I misunderstood and
put a url in, highlighted it, pressed ctrl k. Nada. Also tried Shift
ctrl k, caps lock on with ctrl k, both ctrl buttons and k. Just doesn't
work. Tried it all on the word Test above as well. Nothing.
I'm using Netscape 7.2, and the About Netscape shows this as well:

If you want to persist in working this out, I`m happy to get trying things.
- Are you using a pop up blocker/script disabler?
- Do you have MS Word installed (if so please try the high ligh then control K thing in that where it should defintly work.
Netscape 7 should be more than adequate to do this... I`m downloading it to test to rule out netscape being problem as opposed to a setting on your pc.
Otherwise I will have other suggestions for you, and hopefully I can dig up the correct formating code for you.

| Okay, normal netscape 8 no effect.
Tried changing rending engine and success?
Had to turn off the pop up menu of select text.
So in short,
to make the control + K work you need to,
Change the render engine (the tiny itty bitty button lowest left) I think this can be defaulted to IE on specific sites.
When the selected text menu pop ups, go to options and disable it automatcially happening.
