I haven't been around moderating much the last couple of days due to Internet connection problems.
Should be a temporary thing (or else my DSL company will be hearing some serious complaining).
I'm on when I can.

| Turns out the phone line leading from the pole next to the street was broken. Weight from a branch, coupled with a very old wire, caused the wire to slowly bend enough to crack. I had sporadic Internet access while my phone was out. The technician said that DSL's frequency can jump gaps in a bad wire but analog phone service can't.
It was very weird to have some DSL use (albeit at speeds of 30k, mind you), but no dialtone from the same line.

| Yeah, I've had my aerial drop go crazy too. Although mine was like 60years old, and shouldn't have been able to sustain DSL. Had to fight with tech support for about 3 days that it wasn't my modem, it was the drop. I WORK for the company, and they wouldn't listen to me. Idiots.
