I noticed that ckissee has Monster Manual 2 minis made, MM3, Lords of Madness, etc. (for a LOT of different sources. I got thinking that there are enough different threads like that that it would be cool to have a new forum in the Dungeons & Dragons Miniatures group, "What's Been Made" This could also be a place for the Called Shot threads and the Champion thread, as they are speculation about what's going to be made. What do you think?

I also recommend that ckissee is the moderator, since he is the one making all those threads.

Hmm, seems okay. let's see what else we could get int here as well. Mjollnir's polls would be good as well. perhaps make it more of a history forum, with what's been made and what not?

I like the idea of a sub-forum specifically for the Monster Manual (and other supplement/splatbook) miniatures lists.

I was actually going to suggest having a separate forum for lists, mainly because I am running out of space on my signature.

I would think that a forum just of threads that are lists to be maintained would be a great place to store all the things that are listed in Bert the Troll's Codex of Infinite Threads in the D&D General Discussion forum.

Thank you for the nomination.  I'd be happy to perform that role if offered.

I think it's a spectacular idea. It woud make everything easier to find for sure.

The year: 1994. From out of space comes a runaway planet, hurtling between the Earth and the Moon, unleashing cosmic destruction! Man's civilization is cast in ruin!
Two thousand years later, Earth is reborn...
A strange new world rises from the old: a world of savagery, super science, and sorcery. But one man bursts his bonds to fight for justice! With his companions Ookla the Mok and Princess Ariel, he pits his strength, his courage, and his fabulous Sunsword against the forces of evil.
He is Thundarr, the Barbarian!

I like the idea of a separate forum for lists and references, but it seems that polls are to integral to minis discussions to remove them from the forums they are in now.   If you somehow make a distinction so that some polls go in one forum and others in another, then it'll just be too confusing.  I'd say leave them where they are, but again, a new forum is a great idea.

I don't think that polls would belong in the new forum. I am thinking that the new forum would not be so much for conversation--polling about what people want--but for information. Discussing adding your name to a Called Shot list would work. The monsters in various sourcebooks would be great. But polling and discussing I think fit better in general.

I think it partly depends on how much discussion we want with the 'what's been made' lists. In an information only/reference forum section, they may not be people commenting on them.
It could also be combined into one thread.

Still it could also generate more similar information threads which would be good.

One of the questions that needs to be asked is: How much attention do those threads get because they aren't in a separate forum?

For now, there isn't going to be a separate forum for the reference/champion/called shot/etc lists or the favorite mini polls.

I think that Bert's stickied "The Codex of Infinite Threads" thread does a good job of tracking these sorts of threads in DDM General. If those of you who are organizing a particular type of list (for example ckissee and the "What's been made" threads) want to update the list in that thread on your own, as long as you get permission from Bert you can add a post of your own to that thread where you keep track of your threads separately.

Then I would like to officially ask permission from Bert to post in the codex thread so that I can maintain a list of lists.

Easy
Yours will be second post, so wont get missed either.
I'll remove my listing of the 'whats been made' threads from my post once done.
