| EDIT - Nevermind. Figured it out. This can be deleted or moved.

For the sake of anyone else with the same question:
If you have a saved copy of the picture on your hard drive, you can add it to your post as an attachment.
Underneath the "Body" section when entering text, there is a section called "Message Attachments." Simply click "Browse," navigate through your computer to the correct picture file, then click "Open." When you click "Submit" to post the message, the picture will be loaded into the body of the message.
You can also add an image to your post using html:
<img src="http://www.yourlinkhere.com/yourImage.jpg" />

| As long as you are hosting it somewhere else there is no size limit from a technical standpoint
If you are posting a reply to an existing thread, please post a link to the image rather than the image itself if the file is more than about 300k or so. If the primary point of the thread is to show off high-resolution pictures, it's okay to use larger images that are hosted elsewhere in your posts, but please place some sort of warning in the thread title with an indication of the file size like [pics >500k] or [lots of pics], etc..
I'll have to double check on the limit for attachments uploaded to maxminis...

| It looks like the attachment file size limit should be set to be 60k for almost all of the forum sections.
I've increased the limit to 120k for the Crafter's Corner, but anything larger will need to be hosted elsewhere.

| I'm not getting any images to load by using anything like what's listed above.
The attachments feature, yes, but in the message itself, no.

| To have an image included in the body of your post, it needs to already be uploaded to the internet somewhere else (in other words, so that it has a url that starts with http:// and you would be able to view it online in your browser by just entering the url).
The <img src="http://www.yourlinkhere.com/yourImage.jpg" />
doesn't actually upload the image, it just tells everyone's browser where to look to find the image to include.
For example, if I want to include an image from the Apple site in my post from the url http://images.apple.com/home/2007/images/promoactivation20070626.jpg I would use
<img src="http://images.apple.com/home/2007/images/promoactivation20070626.jpg" />
which would give me this:

The image is never actually on the Maxminis server; the img tag tells anyone who views the page to get the image off of the Apple site.

| Okay, thanks. I don't know why it wasn't working the other day. I was trying to access an image from the WotC site.
When I use my Photobucket account, it's all good.

| WoTC may of disallowed 'hotlinking' or grabbing thier images from offsite.
I find it simpliest to upload to imageshack/photobucket and drag the image from that browser window to the 'add reply' | | "Mutton yesterday, mutton today, and blimey, if it don't look like mutton again tomorrer."
