Hi,

I tried to use the export feature of the H/W list but the resulting file seems to be incomplete for both, tsv and xml exports.

In my H/W list I entered the following information (for example):
Have=4, 4Trade=0, Want=0, Rating=0

In the xml export I get the following entry for this miniature:

mini number="56" have="4" want="4" rank="0"

You can see, that the "want" value is displayed incorrectly and the "4Trade" value is missing at all.

The tsv export shows the following:

Set Name                                             Figure Number     Name                          Have      Total Wanted
com.wotc.ddm.desert_of_desolation     56                         Snaketongue Cultist    4            4

So here it is the same and even the "rank" value is missing.

I'm new to this board and don't know how it is used to be, but I fear that exporting and re-importing my list will totally screw it up?

Thanks for any clarification,

~Nergal(Ziu)

The import/export formats used by the H/W list here were originally designed to be compatible with the Hordelings site, which only uses two columns (the number of a particular mini you have currently have, and the target number of minis that you want to have of that particular mini).

Exporting your H/W list and then importing it again here won't lose data (using the XML format, since there isn't a TSV import), with two exceptions:

1) There is an conflict between two of the organized play repaints, the Burning Skeleton (D&DC17) and the Longtooth Barbarian (D&DC17), because those repaints have traditionally used the D&DC number as the numerical id and both of those repaints were released marked as D&DC17. If you have at least one value (have, want, or trade) for each of those entries, when you import your H/W list again it will have a duplicate entry for the Burning Skeleton (which tends to cause other problems later).

2) If you have values entered in both the "want" and "for trade" columns for a particular mini (which some people do when they have that mini available for trade, but are also willing to trade for more from other people to fill out a trade or as trade stock), those numbers will be combined (because those values are stored as a single "want" value in the export format) and when your H/W data is imported again the difference between them will show up in whichever of the two columns originally had a higher value.

I wouldn't recommend editing the exported file by hand, unless you're willing to experiment with the values to confirm how the import code is working. I suspect that the "have" value in the file is always used as the "have" value displayed when importing, and that the "want" value in the file is subtracted from the "have" value with the difference put in the displayed "for trade" column if the result is positive or in the displayed "want" column if it is positive; unfortunately, I don't have any extra time to try it out and double check at the moment.
