| I was going to list all my stuff in the marketplace to sell. I can't seem to get the text to cut and paste without it getting completely messed up for the formating. It's a large amount of stuff that I don't want to have to retype it all. I know on the old forums there was a why to post a spreadsheet list and have it look right, just can't remember the correct format. I'm trying to paste a large txt file and it copies right on the HTML view, but it messes up on upload/design view. Any help would be nice. Thanks.

| Do you mean design view not html view? If not, use design view as it should be better. Pasting it into html view then going into design view will mess it up for sure.
Is the textfile real text (ie .txt) or formatted text (which is rich text)? Or is it a spreadsheet which is neither? Copying n pasting into word or wordpad before copying n pasting into the add reply window might improve on it.
You can send me the file to look at and try to work out whythe buggy pasting as well if you like. (bertthetroll at gmail .com)

| The easiest way is probably to enclose the "space delimited" formatted text within the html pre tags
<pre>text</pre>
It's what I used to do for the H/W update list, and what madda uses for the price guide lists.

| it was a txt file that I was pasting. I was able to correct it some what by pasting it into design view and then switching over to the html view. All my hard return lines were showing up as new paragraphs. I just copied the html into word pad and did an replace of all the /P with BR The rows aren't as clean but it looks a lot better then it did.
I think PRE was what I was trying to remember. | | Hello Boys, I'm Back Vindicated Champion of the Bat (not pretty, but it still counts)
