| For the past week or so, I have not been receiving e-mails from the trade interface. It seems that messages within the interface itself are posting correctly, but they are not sent to the user's e-mail address (or at least not mine). Not sure about the e-mail button under the avatar; will test.

I've locked the other thread, to avoid confusion.
It looks like messages are still being sent out to both parties when a new offer is made and when comments are left, so it's still functioning on some level. I'll email Host so he can check it out and try to figure out what the problem is with other updates.
(the issue with the email icon under the avatar and subscriptions from the forums is unfortunately a known and separate ongoing problem)

| I'm not getting any errors at all, FtW and myself conducted a trade thru the interface and we ended up communicating
thru regular email.

I started a trade offer between my account and the "test_mod" account.
The email with the original offer was sent to both parties, as were emails with all of the comments made. There wasn't any message sent to either party when the trade was accepted, when it was marked shipped on one side, or when I deleted the trade.
There weren't any errors in the trade interface during the process, and no late/bounced emails have shown up since.

I have never received error messages or returned e-mails...
I have always received an e-mail notification when there was any update to a trade posted from either partner... | |

| | hmmm, this may be on the isp end of things with some new filtering. I will call them tomorrow and see if they have any info. Perhaps the terms used in certain trade emails triggers a spam filter. | |

| | OK I talked to sbc, checked if the maxminis email account was full or something, all that turned up with no leads. So I am guessing that maxminis email got marked as spam by someone and some system is filtering it out, or perhaps the ISP's own system is filtering more now. In any event, I rewrote all the email sections of the trade interface to personalize the emails more, and I changed the from address for each of them to the maxminis account address, in case some email systems are thinking that maxminis is sending spam because the "from" address doesn't match where the email is actually from. I sent new proposals, counter proposals, and accepted proposals with a dummy account and all the emails went through instantly. Can you guys try the system again and see if you are still having problems?? | |
