| AngryIrish versus Takasi
Winning Player: AngryIrish Kane's Warband: Kane the Grim Necro, Thayan Knight(Ring of Fort. Strike), Blue, Zombie. Summoned: Minotaur Skeleton, Zombie Experience Gained: 1000 Leveling: Kane gains +1 Spell Progression(+1lvl,+1Cmd, +5hp and Melf's Acid Arrow[]) Lieutenant XP:500 to Damien the Thayan Knight Lieutenant leveling options (if any): N/A Magic item gained: +1 Weapon of Ghost Touch Magic item lost (if any): N/A
Losing Player: Takasi Pepro's Warband: Pepro the Inspire Marshall, Goliath Barbarian, Graycloak(wolf minion). Support Troops: Elf Spearguard Experience gained:250 Warlord's leveling options (if any): N/A Magic item gained:+1 Armour Magic item lost (if any): N/A
Very close game. I managed to enfeeble the goliath and take it down to 5hps after scareing the wolf off and killing the spearguard. Pepro used his GMA to regroup and start taking powers from the statues. At the end the blue, with his last PP managed to confuse the goliath. But instead of moving the barb up to my thayan who would have killed it next turn, i went after Pepro and tried to force a rout. He passed his save and next turn flanked my thayan with 25 HP's with Pepro and the Barb. The goliath hit for 15dam but the marshall missed. After the marshall missed he was cut down on an Attack of Opp. from the thayan and a zombie, and then the thayan took out the barb to end it. If that roll would have gone the other way, takasi would be writing this. Great Game. Log pending | | "I'm feelin pretty good today. | Good game AngryIrish. Very close, but you wouldn't have been if I hadn't won initiative so many times. :)
Is there anyway I can play the next match with someone who hasn't leveled yet? I want to play at least ONE game at 50 points in this campaign.

| Winning Player: lurch_E_bean Urthok's Warband: Urthok the Destroyer, Fire Giant, Bugbear Footpad, Bugbear, Goblin Skirmisher; Support: Mika the Thayan Knight, Goblin Skirmisher Experience Gained: 1000 Leveling: n/a Lieutenant XP:500 to Slag the Goblin Skirmisher (to cure his paralysis [:p]) Lieutenant leveling options (if any): N/A Magic item gained: (maj) +1 Armor of Charging and Shielding (Dual Powers) Magic item lost (if any): (trade it) Vest of Shielding
Losing Player: Takasi Warband: Sword of Heironeous, LSD, Dwarven Werebear Experience gained:250 Warlord's leveling options (if any): N/A Magic item gained: Ring of Protection (+2 AC) Magic item lost (if any): Minor Empowered Scroll
This was a clash of the titans, Fire Giant vs. Silver Dragon, arch-nemeses... Though I don't think it factored in, giving the Broach of Resistance (+2 saves) to the Fire Giant really eased my mind. The Fire Giant pressed the LSD hard, getting in two Powerful Charges and saving on both LSD breath weapons (that really pushed the game in my favor). Both the Werebear and LSD activated statues and got +5 damage. Luckily I took the AoO with the Fire Giant to finish the LSD off right afterward (I was praying the statue didn't heal the LSD). After the LSD fell, Takasi felt discretion was the better part of valor and retreated off the board to preserve his magic items.
I don't know what the deal is with me and shielding items, I trade in a Vest of Shielding for +1 Armor of Charging and Shielding. I guess Urthok is scared of Magic Missiles... | 1. Unger – Orc Druid, Orank – Half Orc Assassin, Growl and Biter – Hyenas 1000 XP 2. Advance to level 1 (1250 total XP), Spell Progression, +5 HP, Charm Animal 3. 500 XP to Orank the Half Orc Assassin 4. None yet 5. +1 Armor of Fortune Prevailing (reroll one save per battle) 6. None
7. Odge – Orc Sergeant, Deathlock, Orc Savage, Kenku Sneak 8. 250 XP gained 9. None yet 10. Ring of Charging (Powerful Charge +5) 11. +1 Armor 12.
I was surprised by the ranged units. I was expecting to see all orcs. Old Coast was expecting to see an Ogre. We were both surprised. He went first and moved the Sarge and Kenku for good command and a hidden position. My crew moved up with total cover from the Deathlock until after it and the Savage had moved. I set one hyena up for a charge on the kenku.
He took initiative and moved the savage 8 to base my hyena (bad counting on my part). Attacks at +7, and rolls 5. Deathlock moves up to cause fear on the hyena, 20. The other hyena moves in, and with the Druid’s aid, kills the Savage. The second hyena goes after the Kenku and misses. This allows the Orc Sergeant to move in for the kill on the hyena. Rolls a 3. The HO moves full speed and bases the Deathlock. Then the druid moves up for a snakes swiftness that kills the Kenku.
I win init and move a hyena around a broken wall and misses the Deathlock. The assassin sidesteps to set up a flank and hits the undead twice. The Sergeant strikes down poor Biter and moves back from the combat. The Deathlock tries a desperation move to get into spell position. Both flanking attacks of opportunity hit, putting him away.
The Orc Sergeant decided that he would regroup and try another battle, another day.
Good game to oldcoast. These 50 point games really exaggerate how much this game is a game of chance. Luckily for me, the dice rolls all went my way tonight.

| 1. Winning warlord's warband experience gained: Brother Grim the Necromancer brought Nox the Thayan Knight, along with Flame and Skorch the azer raiders. BG also summoned a minotaur skeleton and zombie for the fun of it. Brother Grim will gain 1000 exp putting him at 2500 and level 2. 2. Warlord's leveling options (if any): Brother Grim will take a level of spellcasting progression taking some spell that I have to decide on. As well as 5 hp. 3. Lieutenant XP, and who it is going to: 500 exp to Nox the Thayan Night. 4. Lieutenant leveling options (if any): N/A 5. Magic item gained: Ring of Minor Cold Resistance (resist 10 cold) 6. Magic item lost (if any): None
7. Losing warlord's warband: Alric the not so Glorious [)] brought along a goliath barbarian, his greycloak ranger lieutenant and his trusty wolf minion. 8. experience gained: 250 9. warlord's leveling options (if any): none I think. 10. Magic item gained: +1 shield 11. Magic item lost (if any): None.
12. Battle Report (An optional brief summary of the match): Well, things didn’t start off so hot with the wolf minion rolling a 19 and 20 on morale checks as I tried to scare it off. But I fortunately managed to win init, and rout the goliath bbn. This allowed me to smack the wolf with the minotaur skeleton and protect my commander. The goliath failed his rally attempt and even though Alric gained the speed of the gods it didn’t really matter by this time. Alric the not so glorious [)] abandoned his greycloak lieutenant to the wrath of a minotaur skeleton, azer raider, and Nox.

I saw that Takasi stole my idea [:P], but I guess I should have looked at your warband closer, it could have saved me a beating. I don't know why I was expecting Grim Necro/Gauth so much (maybe because every time I've fought LE over 50 points there's been at least one there).
All in all I was very underwhelmed by the Goliath.
I also must reprimand Alric for his not-so-Glorious behavior... | | Successful Trades (31) | Trades Pending (0) 12th Place in the 2005 Nationals, and I owe it all to the Minis Training Montage. Champion of Celestial Giant Stag Beetles

| | I could have won that battle with the Goliath. For some very very stupid reason I totally forgot that he would summon the minotaur! If I had gotten to his cmdr the match would have been over, but through good tile placement and putting the skeleton in just the right spot I couldn't make it there. | | | |

| Zippy and I met last night. After a hard fought match, Mystique was able to come out on top.
Winning Warlord: Mystique the Bladesinger- tullywi (CG) Mystique's warband: Units: Mystique the Bladesinger, Rask, a Medium Astral Construct, Bariaur Ranger, Iabolde, 2 elf warriors. Tiles: Assembly Tile Rubble, Spike Stone Cave, Torture Chamber, and Treasure Room Experience gained: 1500 Leveling: Mystique lived and gained 1000 experience. Lieutenant XP: NA Lieutenant leveling options (if any): NA Magic item gained: Cloak of Shield (Immune to Magic Missile) Magic item lost (if any): NA
Losing warlord: Zippy Losing warlord's warband: Units: Urthok the Destroyer, Green Dragon, Gauth, Dread Guard, Nothic, and 4 Hobgoblin Warriors for support. Tiles: Assembly tile 6, Statue Room, Hall of Heroes, Corridor. Experience gained: 250 Warlord's leveling options (if any): n/a Magic item gained: Potion of Quick Strike Magic item lost (if any): NA
It was a very close match. I thought it was over when Rask routed off the board leaving my Bladesinger to face down Urthok, the Greed Dragon, Gauth, and Nothic all by herself. Fortunately, she was able to kill Urthok and use the statues to gain 5 damage and gain all her health back.
I tried to upload the log file, but it failed. I'm e-mailing Galneweinhaw about it.
Good playing Zippy. | | | |

| Winning Warlord: Thea, Sword of Heironeus - Zippy (LG) Zippy's warband: Thea, Aramil, 2x Hill Dwarf / Assy#4, Shrine circle, Blood rock cave, hall of heroes Experience gained: 1500 VP Leveling: Thea survived and gains 1000XP, +5HP / Spl Prg Lvl=3, gains []Cause Fear Lieutenant XP: Aramil survived and gains 500XP Lieutenant leveling: N/A Magic item gained: +1 Melee Weapon of Fear Burst (MC on nat. 20) Magic item lost: N/A
Losing warlord: Flarghimar the Vain, Cleric of Garl Glittergold - Kiirnodel Losing warlord's warband: Flarghimar, Half-Orc Barbarian, Ragnara / Assy #6, intersection, rubble room, statue room Experience gained: 250 XP to Flarghimar the Vain (Cl of GG) Warlord's leveling: N/A Magic item gained: Potion of Minor (10) Acid Resistance [][] Magic item lost (if any): N/A
Thea set up across the board on the magic circle, flanked by protective walls, while Flarghimar's crew darted up through a long fire ally. Spells were exchanged, and Flarghimar (gnomes are not known for their math skills, mind you) moved too far too fast and was embroiled in melee before his deadly Ring of Blades (tm) could be evoked. Thea found herself flanked after routing Flarghimar. Following many mostly ineffective blows, the barbarian had enough and fled for the hills. The twin hill dwarves would not have any part of letting the barbarian escape alive. Meanwhile, Ragnara stuck home on Thea with a mighty smiting blow, forcing Thea to lay her hands on herself (no,no,no, not like that!). Flarghimar regained his composure just before conceding the field, and came back for blood. He headed for a Hall of Statues, in search of their mighty boons, but was locked into combat quickly. After Flarghimar sent one of the dwarf twins scurrying toward the exit, Thea charged to deliver the deathblow, putting an end to the contest.
That was fun and challenging battle. I surely had an edge on the rolls this evening, though. Thanks, Kiirnodel, and welcome to EC.
