Battle Report:
Round 1
During the first round, Jareth upped the WFH's armour with SoF while the rest of the band stayed relatively close to the starting tile. Meanwhile, his warforged hero drank a potion of etherealness to match the power of the gloves worn by the Frenzied Berserker. Pepro and crew moved as close as possible, hanging out near the Ancient Temple.
Round 2
On the second round the cleric fired off a searing light on the Frenzied Beserker, while one lucky elf archer killed the Man-at-Arms and an even luckier one scored a crit on the forged. For the most part the cleric and crew stayed in or near their assembly, perhaps trying to squeeze a bit more burnout from the frenzy. Pepro decided to grant a move action, placing Ragnara and the Beserker single movement range. While Ragnara used her powers of offensive precognition, the Frenzy decided to move in to hit the commander, but fumbled.
Round 3
Winning init, Jareth's rhek charged into the beserker, dealing a whopping smite and powerful charge combo. The warforged then came in to smack the beserker a bit. Ragnara then used a swift burst and charged the warforged. Despite the connect with smite, the warforged resisted some of the psychic warrior's mundane damage. The Beserker then got rid of the axefighter and forced the cleric (who had not moved from his starting position the entire game) to route off the board. Leaderless, the standardbearer moved in to heal the forged. The three elves surrounded their statue circle, pelting the standardbearer with arrors until left the board. Finally, Pepro moved into range to charge Rhek.
Round 4
Pepro won init and charged the Rhek, but just barely missed. The Frenzy knocked the Rhek into a route, and with an attack of opportunity Pepro removed him from the field. On the second attack, the Berserker connected with the forged. The hero hit the beserker twice, killing her, but on her deathstrike she scored a crit to win the game. | |

| rgrayua, I'll try to get back onto Vassal for another half hour or so - try to meet me there to wrap up our cliffhanger if you can. Next thing is your burning skel's aoo on silent wolf goblin. Resolve that then Skully saves vs. SSS, then it's my go again.

BATTLE SUMMARY
Elvira launched her fast strike into the dungeon while Krawd's menagerie moved up to shelter behind the walls of a large room, fearing a barrage of spells from Elvira. With no engagement yet, each team prepared as well as possible for the upcoming melee.
As Elvira pushed here troups forward to explore around the corner where Krawd was grouping, Ignavus the infamous lizard of low IQ streaked to the corner and sprayed a wide arc of acid. The orc champion and 2 of 3 maws in the area were damaged, and the damaged maws fled. Retaliation was swift and devastating - Elvira fired a spell and ordered the red samurai in for a kill strike. The samurai's ring of power glowed brightly as a smiting blow of immense force struck Ignavus. The dragon was shocked, and flew off in fear as quickly as he'd arrived.
Krawd arranged his forces, systematically moving them forward for shot after shot from the various goblinoids. Krawd's trusted advisor Snig the Axe moved a bit too far forward, trying to command his troops to strike harder blows. Krawd himself charged the samurai, loosing his throwing axe en route. With Krawd now at an exposed corner, Elvira peppered him with magic while the orc champion came in for a blow, which wildly missed. The other forces sped in and engaged in a massive melee.
Maws and goblins and the orc berserker fell. The orc champion was severely wounded, including from the ogre's spiked mace connecting with critical bone crushing force, and ran to the rear to regroup. The samurai exhaled a scorching wave of flame, turning the tide of battle. Snig bolted, his flesh alight, leaving a dark dwarf and several goblin spearmen in ashes behind him. He ran for water and never looked back. Krawd held his shield high and staved off most of the heat.
Krawd knew his time was limited here, and sent his construct after Elvira. The construct charged her and struck a blow. The orc rejoined battle and counter-charged the dread guard, slicing out a generous portion of the target. The construct returned the favor and finished the orc, but Elvira had bought enough time to slip away. she used her time wisely to pour snow and ice onto several assailants, routing the goblin assassin who was then chopped down along his path to the exit.
Krawd and Forix each took serious damage and beat hasty retreats. The few remaining melee troops continued the engagement. The last maw was felled, then the bugbear footpad who struck that blow was decapitated by the samurai, while several goblin spearchuckers continued futile attempts to weigh in to the battle. The last goblin destroyed the burning skeleton and was consumed by his victim's infernal heat. The samurai had finished off the dread guard, and was caught by surprise as Krawd, who stopped heading toward the exit, Barked the charge order to Forix, who, fearing Krawd's toxic blade, spun and lurched toward the fiery swordsman. Forix's mace was true, and the samurai lay lifeless and shattered.
Krawd pulled a final trick as he spoke a word of command - his shield, glowing with an inner urgency, lifted the weight of Krawd's platemail and gave speed to his short muscular legs. He was in an instant far across the dungeon, cutting off Elvira's lone retreat. Elvira surged backwards, taking a painful blow from Krawd, and hexed him. Forix moved in to help pin the wiley Darkmage. As Elvira tried one last spell, the Ogre swept into her with his immense weapon and ended the battle.
The match tonight was truly a nail biter until the gooey end. Well played, rgrayua! | |

BATTLE SUMMARY
As cool as a flying Berserker sounded and looked on paper, it totally sucked. The berserker missed the Dwarf Phalanx Fighter, the Skullclan Hunter twice, and then DIED, finally hitting Aramil on her deathstrike. My Graycloak Ranger did more damage than her, connecting with THREE crits from range. I don't know why everyone was so ga ga over IM/FB/Graycloak in 100 point matches, because it sucked hardcore today.
And yes, I've got ANOTHER potion. Maybe I should change Alric's name to Alric the Apothecary... | |

| It appears have I been very out of things this week. I forgot to level up my Bladesinger last week. Technically, Takasi and I have the same level, but as things are shown I am a level down from him.
Anyway, the Bladesinger is now level 5 and takes another spell progression level and 5 hit points. She will take another casting of Melf's Acid Arrow. She will also take Spell Mastery as her bonus feat. This places her at Spell Progression Level 8. She will take the 3rd Level Spell Empowered Magic Missile. | |

| Mhir: I don't know what your schedule is like, I work Saturday, so I wouldn't be able to play until saturday night at about 6, which means 3 A.M. for you; is that possible? otherwise I can play late Saturday, so that it is later in the morning for you on Sunday morning. If you are around tonight (saturday morning for you) I will check in regularly to Vassal and if you are there we can play.

| I'm going to forfeit or whatever my match for this week. Mhir and I have not been able to figure out a time when we can meet.. I have tried to be specific about a time to play but the communication is too broken up by our different time zones to be useful, by the time he says "maybe saturday" it's already saturday here, and it is the middle of the night for him already. Now it's late saturday night/sunday morning, and we have not been able to figure anything out, and Vassal has been down as far as I know all day. I was really looking forward to playing Mhir but I don't have time for all this screwing around. My window of play time falls smack in the middle of his night, so I request, for the sake of the campaign, not to be matched up with him anymore. Sorry for the mess.
