| Tullywi, thanks again for all the effort sub-admin'ing!
Addition form EC25: Takasi and I did finish our game, and I lost. I posted the logfiles (2 of 3 - the 3rd we forgot to record), but Tak has not had a chance to post the results yet<--Takasi's post is up in EC25 thread. So...
(1) Warchief Krawd Updates: +250XP, +1 Armor (can't remember Tak's item, but he gets 1000XP, no Lt. available).
(2) Zippy(CG) vs. Adept(LE) should be a 75 pt match (no support), both are level 1 warlords.
Thanks! | | There are 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don't. Reference Thread, H/W List, Champion of the Catoblepas

| | Just to clarify, the "killing additonal creatures provides no additional benefits" only applies to the one creature right? Every creature can gain the bonus when they kill something, but they can't kill two somethings and gain double bonuses right? | |

You are correct. Each creatures first kill gives the bonuses. The second kill by each creature grants no further bonuses.

| REPORT: Adept(LE) vs. Zippy(CG)
Winning Warlord: Zippy(CG) / Rodus Rodus' Warband: Rodus the Copper Samurai, Goliath Barbarian, Ragnara, Ialdabode / Assy Rubble, Shrine of Slaughter, Torture Chamber, Treasure Room Warlord Experience: +1000 XP, +1500 CP (now lvl 2) Warlord Leveling: +1 LVL, +10HP, +1CR Lieutenant: +500 XP to Ebisu the Goliath Barbarian Lieutenant Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: (maj). Bag of Tricks ([][] summon wolf) Magic Item Lost: (med). +1 Shield of Command
Losing Warlord: Adept(LE) / Talla Talla's Warband: Talla the Cleric of Nerull(+1 armor of fire resistance), Fury the Azer Raider (+1 weapon), 2x Azer Raider, Green Dragon, Goblin Skirmisher / Assy Rubble, Mushroom Tangle, Scorched Passage, Treasure Room Warlord Experience: +250XP, +250CP Warlord Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: (med).+1 armor of flight ([] swift gain F8 this turn only) Magic Item Lost: (min).+1 melee weapon
Summary
The unusual battlefield had a cluster of terrain features along the top and left map edges, and in front of Rodus, but an otherwise open field. Battle began the instant the enemies took the field. Baldy started off by melting one azer's brain, then Rodus took a tiny potshot on the green wyrm. The green cross the field in a flash, placed to catch Rodus and Baldy in its breath.
Despite this threat, Ebisu the Goliath Barbarian rush up to strike the dragon hard with its axe, having called in one of its favors of the gods to do so. Talla had stayed arears to command her crew, while her azers and goblin went as fast as their stumpy little legs couold carry then across the open cavern, hoping to reinforce the embattled green dragon.
Instead, Rodus had the luck of the hour with him, and acted more swiftly than Talla. He took a bite from the green and ran over to spew acid the 2 azers and the goblin. Only one azer survived. Then green took a chance to try to reposition for a better spray, having lost his opportunity with slow initiative. As he took off, Ebisu struck home again; the dragon had seen enough and fled nearly to the exit. The last Azer was then taken down by a rushing Ebisu, and Talla conceded to preserve her items, with only herself and a routing badly wounded green dragon facing a crew of nearly unharmed opponents.
Good Game, Adept! The Gamble to win 2nd round initiative failed with one really important bad roll for Adept, and the tile placement helped me spread out and remain under command while still having firing lanes for Rodus to harrass the approaching enemy with arrows. Also, it was an outside bet to bring a green dragon against a copper samurai (dragon bane and acid resist), although if it had gotten a kill it would have become a 30 dmg/rnd powerhouse! | | There are 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don't. | Hello Everyone,
All kidding aside, please post your matches in a timely manner. I've been joking around about it, but it can cause trouble in scheduling the following weeks match. Technically, if your stats aren't updated, you are supposed to play with last week's stats. I'll leave it up to your opponents and you to decide how you want to handle these. (I should mention that I've had several weeks where I totally screwed up and forgot to post or didn't post enough information. It isn't that big a deal, but it is a little awkward when it comes to scheduling next weeks matches.)
DaemonKain,
Our match was the one most affected by the late posting. I was trying to break up the Level 2 commanders that have already played each other. When I scheduled our match, your commander was level 2. Now that Mort is level 3, you have a choice. Play down him down a level and we play a 100 point match and you give me 10 points in support or play him at level 3, it is a 125 point match, and you give me 24 points of support troups. My preffered times to play are Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday night at 9 PM CST (GMT -5). I will be out of town Saturday. Thursday night is a possibility, but I wouldn't be able to play until 10 or 10:30 PM.

| REPORT: Richard II (LE) vs. AesophDarkfable (CG)
Winning Warlord: Richard II (LE) / Brother Grim the Grim Necromancer Rodus' Warband: Brother Grim the Grim Necromancer, Nox the Thayan Knight, Skullcrusher Ogre, Skeletal Dwarf x4, Azer Raider. Rubble Assembly, Torture Chamber, Abbatoir, Mushroom Tangle Warlord Experience: +1000 XP, +1500 CP (now lvl 4) Warlord Leveling: +1 LVL, +5HP, +1CR, Will take Ice Storm as his new spell I do believe. This puts him at SPL 9. Lieutenant: +500 XP to Nox the Thayan Knight Lieutenant Leveling: +1 LVL, +1 attack, +10 HP Magic Item Gained: (med). Drums of Resist 10 Cold. Um, yay! Magic Item Lost: None.
Losing Warlord: AespohDarkfable (CG) Talla's Warband: Thom Waits, Goliath Barbarian, Spookytooth the Longtooth Barbarian, Elf Pyromancer, Crested Felldrake, Summons: 2 azer raiders. Assembly 6, Mummy's crypt, torture chamber, mushroom tangle Warlord Experience: +250XP, +250CP Warlord Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: +1 armor of sonic resistance (resist 10 sonic) Magic Item Lost: +1 armor (traded in), possibly +1 wpn (destroyed). When he conceeded, I hadn't yet picked up the weapon, but does winning mean that I can wander over and pick it up after the battle or do I have to pick it up during the battle to nuke it?
Summary
I was not confident in my changes to win this one. Between no commander effects for me and his +4 to saves as well as RoE, I thought I'd be in trouble.
He won terrain init and put the mummy's crypt in the middle of the board, and that's where the fighting took place. Not too much else about terrain is really relevant, although I did block 1st turn FB.
I ran the azer ahead and summoned a zombie and minotaur skeleton. On round two he ran his felldrake into the crypt and fireballed, something I hadn't really expected since it put his pyromancer in harms way. His felldrake made the save, but routed. My zombie also made the save, despite a net -1 to the roll and lived with 5 hp. My thayan knigth and grim necromancer both made their saves fortunately.
Round 2 was sorta boring with my minotaur skeleton dying and some other stuff happening.
Round 3 I managed to scare away an azer raider that was in the way, and rush my Thayan Knight to base Thom and get an attack off that hit for 10. He then missed me with the LTB, but double tapped me for 15 with Thom. I then won a crucial round 4 init and finished off the warchanter. His LTB then quickly fell to a barrage of skeletons that were now able to benefit from my commander effect, and he conceeded when I won init on round 5 which probably meant a dead goliath if we'd played it out. He did rout my thayan, but at +14 she had a good chance to rally, albeit with 10 hp left.
A good game, and I want me one of those smoking bottles. hehe.
oh, and I believe AD was gonna post the log.

| BATTLE REPORT: Old Coast (LE) vs. Jai(LG)
Winning Warlord: OC (LE) Gorn the Skullsplitter Gorn's Warband: Erinyes Tiles: Assembly Rubble, Shrine of Slaughter, Broken Wall, Blood Rock Warlord Experience: +1000 XP, +1500 CP (now lvl 3) 4750 total Warlord Leveling: +1 LVL, +10HP, Lieutenant: Ahmad the Zhent Fighter, XP: 500 (not present) Lieutenant Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: (maj). +1 Weapon - Great Axe ( +10 versus Chaos) Magic Item Lost: (med) from victory, plus 2 minors: Scroll of heighted, +1 Shield
Gorn's remaining items +1 Armor of Shielding (med) +1 Weapon (min) Belt of one godly blow (smite +5 []) (min)
Losing Warlord: Jai (LE) Digger the Dwarven Caver Digger's Warband: Eberk, Dwarven Werebear, Medium Earth Elemental, Hill Dwarf Warrior X 6 Tiles: Assy 4, Corridor, Scorched Passage, statue room Warlord Experience: +250XP, +250CP Warlord Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: (med). Ring of the Shadow Magic Item Lost: (min).+1 Shield
Summary:
I went against better judgement taking only two units but I am always stumped against LG and I definitely wasnt bringing any undead to the party. Considering the scenario I'd figure I'd deny him the Vampiric bonus and go with a couple hard to kill units like the powerful Erinyes. Jai was suprised with my choice wasn't expecting it and it paid off. He had 8 more activations than me, rolled some great saves , won the first 6 iniatives and had decent tile placement. unfortunately he also burned alot of huge dice rolls early on nothing and the combination of the Erinyes dual unholy blights a strong melee attack +15/+10 (15) (with Vamp Boon) and my beefed up Skullsplitter hitting for +13(20)with Vampiric Boon (+17 (25) with executioners blade, ouch!) was really tough going on the gang of dwarves.
I managed to draw first blood killing several Hill Dwarves as his mob advanced on me and the game was still pretty even as Jai ended up surrounding both my units and pounding away. Gorn was taking a beating but rallied on his morale check and countered by killing Digger outright with his big axe. My Erinyes flew away easily avoiding 3 AoO's with her 24 AC and joined the wounded Gorn in a good defensible position. The remainder of Diggers troops now commanderless, decided discretion was the better part of valor and retreated to live to fight another day.
Great game to Jai, it's great to always find cool new people here on Vassal. | | Check out The Old Coast my online Greyhawk campaign featuring all maxmini's members!, and.........Champion of Aspect of Zuggtmoy

| REPORT: JJBeezer(CE) vs. Zippy(LG)
Winning Warlord: Zippy(LG) / Thea Thea's Warband: Thea the Sword of heironeus (+1 shield of DR5), Gus the Sword of Glory (+1 armor), Dragon Samurai (cloak of striding), warforged hero (+1 ethereal shield), Aramil (Vest of Combat Casting), Dwarf Phalanx, Hill Dwarf Warrior Warlord Experience: +1000 XP, +1500 CP Warlord Leveling: none Lieutenant: +500 XP to Collis the Hill Dwarf Warrior Lieutenant Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: (maj).+1 swift melee weapon (additional attack at highest rating or lose slow ranged attack) Magic Item Lost: (med).+1 Shield of Minor Invulnerability (gain DR5)
Losing Warlord: JJBeezer (CE) / Unger Unger's Warband: Unger the Orc Druid (Ring of OMB, +1 ethereal armor), Fiendish Tyrannosaurus Rex, Lulu the Orc Savage (+1 armor of Electrical Resistance), Hyena, Orank the Half-Orc Assassin (+1 melee weapon of Deadly Precision) Warlord Experience: +250XP, +250CP Warlord Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: (med).+1 Shield of Big Stepping ([]Dimension Door) Magic Item Lost: (min).+1 Armor
Summary
Unger took the field with a towering scaley wall under his command, while Thea brought a variety of hardy but slow slicers. The chaotics speed across half the battlefield while Thea's tanks ambled forth in a calm procession. Thea began by buffing her team, and engagement started off with the dwarf phalanx, placing himself in front of the squad to begin forming a line. That plan was short lived.
The Trex charged, smited, and in one enormous bite took down the phalanx with relative ease. Gus, the Warforged, and the Samurai moved forward in response to start slicing away at the plodding behemoth. Meanwhile, Aramil went to work enfeebling the Trex to counter its blood boon. Unger then sent the hyena and assassin to flank Thea's small crew.
The Trex did miss once, thankfully, and never managed a chomp. It went to work on Gus, then the Hero, and finally on the Samurai. All the while Unger's flanking manuever fell into place. When Thea dropped Azers around the Trex, Unger dropped an ice storm on the whole crowd (after one critically wounded lulu and the other struck an opportunity blow on Unger, though). After the assassin planted a sneak atack at the base of aramil's skull, right after aramil enfeebled him, after her fear spell failed to rout the OOC hyena, Thea sound burst the hyena into a stunned, routing state. To and fro the battle continued.
Finally Thea charged the assassin, and Collis followed through with an axe blow, routing poor Orank. The Dragon Samurai, trying for a vampiric bonus, took the opportunity bite from the Trex and positioned himself to breath fire on the remaining Unger party: Trex, Unger, and the routing Orank. He barely survived the bite, but his fire was meek and did little damage to the three.
Then, with a bit of luck, Thea used her command presence to act quickly. The mighty Trex was finally felled, while Thea and Collis closed on Unger to help finish him off in battle. Orank continued to rout, Unger's charge on the samurai with the migthy blow ring failed, and Unger was then slain by 2 powerful samurai blows and Thea's vampirically boosted charge. To complete combat, Orank fled.
I made a mistake early on, missing a chance to use the samurai's BW effectively, taking an AoO but avoiding an ongoing cover penalty vs. the Trex. Also, the Samurai was locked into combat in the wrong spot entirely. The game could have gone differently on only a few key rolls, so I call that a close match. And the Trex, that mammoth mound of mean is one tough dude! jjbeezer played well and it made for a fun, close match. | | There are 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don't. Losing Warband: Black Bleed (LE)/ Zor'Vahkial (Mindflayer) Black Bleed’s Warband: Nothic, Blue Tiles: Rubble, Shrine, Mushroom Tangle, Treasure Room Warlord XP: +250 XP, +250 CP (total 250 CP) Warlord Levelling: none Magic Item Gained: +1 Armour
Summary:
Timing is Everything, a comedy of errors.
As it turned out, the match got off to a late start due to some timezone confusion, with Zor’Vahkail arriving at the battlefield an hour later than Zadkiel expected (the match still started at 4:30 Saskatoon time, though.) Despite having extra time to prepare, I hadn’t given much thought to terrain, and (in retrospect) made some pretty huge blunders, such as forgetting about the Assembly tile, and picking magic circles.) DOH! LG’s main advantage is their high AC...
I then proceeded to commit the classic blunder of allowing Black Bleed to block in the long edge of my tile with a Mushroom Tangle, despite winning terrain initiative. Then, forgetting my minis didn’t all have to start inside the walled in area, Blackbleed dropped the treasure room on the other side of the assembly tile. Ouch.
Thankfully, I won initiative the first 2 turns, allowing me to progress towards the centre Abattoir w/out being subjected to a Mind Blast. The Nothic moved up from below to gaxe attack the B for 5, but the Badger then charged and rolled a 20! Alas, only 10 dmg, so I base the Nothic with my dwarf, failing to see Zor waiting in the wings. Who, of course, swooped in and mind blasts all three of my minis. Who ALL fail. Some confusion over LOS ensues over the Nothic’s gaze attack, but Accoustic Devil helps clarify the situation. After some fancy footwork, the Nothic rots the Badger for 5.
Luckily, I had yet to activate my SoH that turn, so I unstunned before the initiative rolls. I win the roll (though we both had 21, I had the higher cmmndr rating! I can’t wait for the Cleric of Dol Arrah...), and charge Zor with Zadkiel for 10. After I unstun the badger and Gimli, Zor blasted (again), with the Nothic safely on the edge of the cone. Both Zadkiel and Gimli saved, though, enabling me to charge the Nothic with my Dwarf, and rout it, while Zadkiel kept on saving and slicing. Zor retreated to rally the Nothic, and though he took 10 Zor’ didn’t flee.
Next turn, Zor moved back to base Zadkiel, and used the mindblast again on Zadkiel, the badger, and the (still stunned) Gimli. Alas for him, Zadkiel rolled a 20, and was able to take Zor down to 5. On an interesting side note here, just because a player has the stat card doesn’t necessarily mean that they are using the correct stats... ) Anyway, a hit from Zadkiel was all it took to bring down Zor, and all that was left to do was mop up and roll up.
Black Bleed was courteous, humorous, and understanding throughout the whole match, and a worthy opponent to boot. I greatly enjoyed the match, (mind you, winning does make the whole experience nicer ;) ) and sincerely hope to face him and Zor once again across the field of battle.
In tactical observations: Note to self: watch out for the mushroom tile! ;) If the nothic’s gaze attack had done 10 dmg, I would have been in deep trouble; as it was it almost routed the badger. I got VERY lucky with the stun saves. The turning point in the game, I believe, was when the Mindflayer re-closed with | | Alea jacta est!

Saturday is the Angelfire pre-release here and I'm playing in that during the day, it starts at noon I think and probably won't get done until 5 or 6PM. If you're up fairly early maybe we can try to start up in the morning on Saturday and finish later. After playing minis all day, my wife may take exception to me coming home and playing all night on the computer. I'm free Sunday, just have to prepare for my class. That's why Wednesday was so bad, first day of my class, my first time teaching and it's a mini-term! So very hectic.

Great game! Too bad vassal was sketchy and I didn't manage my logfile well enough for everyone to see the entire match.

| Rgrayua:
Let's try Sat morning - how early can you go? Sunday is all day D&D RPG Group (Session #2 of OC's module, which is pretty cool I might add) and I won't have time to play on Vassal. Otherwise we'll have to post an exception and complete on Monday. We can call it a draw if nothing will work out (hey I'll still level up!).

I think you're an hour behind me. I can start at 8:30 or 9AM and I'll need to leave for the tournament by about 11AM. So if you're amenable to playing that early that will give us about 2 hours. If we don't finish, we should be able to wrap up Saturday evening. Thanks.
Edit--Actually the tournament starts at 1PM, not Noon, so I won't have to leave quite as early.

| BATTLE REPORT: Old Coast (CE) vs. Rgrayua(LE)

Collar of electrical resistance (10) Magic Item Lost: None
Odges remaining items +1 Armor (min) +1 Weapon (min) Ring of Charisma (Med)
Losing Warlord: Rgrayua (LE) The Hobgoblin with No Name (Urthok the Vicious) Warband: Gauth, Snig, Goblin Skirmisher X 3, Lt. Pancho the Goblin Skirmisher, Goblin Skirmisher, Goblin Adept Tiles: Rubble Assembly; Mushroom Tangle; Creeping Tangle; Broken Fountain Warlord Experience: +250XP, +250CP Warlord Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: Potion of Cold resistance (min) Magic Item Lost: None
Summary:
It was Goblins versus Orcs in the Vampiric Catacombs and an overall close battle. Iniative rolls were about even, both of us losing the iniative when we needed it most. Too many goblin skirmishers, while great for running interference for the Gauth, It allowed everyone of my units to gain the Vampiric Boon, creating some serious damage potential from units with already very good damage.. I had good tile placement to screen myself from Gauth Rays, and the Gauth only managed to fry my Orc Warrior early in the match before I could get in to striking range. I slowly advanced elimating his fodder pieces one at a time. while Rgrayua made a great retreating move blocking my Orc Champ from basing his Gauth without taking AoO's from Snig and Uthok. My Champ responded by leaving himself in open but splattered Snig with a crushing blow and brushing off a hurling charge from Uthok. The Orc Champ followed up by routing Uthok and moving to base the Gauth. Game over right? WRONG! I win the intitative and my champ WIFFS twice while basing the Gauth with a +15/+10 (30) to hit. The Gauths follow up eye Ray Assault routs my Champ, but the Champ, and my also routing Bugbear both Rally the next round. Luckily my Kenku with vampric boon scores a "20" on the Gauth with a ranged hit putting him within 5 of a MC. The final round Uthok failed his second MC and hits the exit grid leaving the Gauth to his fate. The Gauth wisely surrenders , wounded and facing overwhelming odds.
Great Game to Rgrayua, I got the better of the dice tonight , especially on the saves. He definitely would have killed one, even two more of my units before I finished the Gauth off, but he conceded as we both wanted to watch Battlestar Galactica. | | Quick question about the vampiric boon damage. It's bonus damage and not multiplied on a crit right? so if I've got the boon on a unit that normally does 5 damage and it scores a crit, it would be 5x2+5 damage right? Not (5+5)x2?
