| rgrayua cleaned my clock this morning - he'll post later (he's doing pre-release and I'm off to work ugh) - rolled crit with fomorian on krawd - big mean tough sucker that misshapen giant is!
Krawd takes a level despite the loss, +1 level/saves +1 att +10 HP and Feat (11K XP and 7th level now)
FEAT = TBD (waiting for final ruling on power attack - can be turned on off - I think we had quorum and concensus but not sure gotta go check).
Traded: (min)+1 armor & (med)ring of fortune striking for a super crappy shirt of reflection []

Bonus damage yes - so 5x2+5 instead of (5+5)x2. In general, multiply first then add or substract to get the correct total. | |

Summar:
Was a very quick game. We got off to a good start both meeting in the middle very soon. My orc warriros where easily dismissed on Vodka's turn,so i based his greycloak with my gnoll sergeant. Next turn as his greycloak took a AoO Narrack quickly eliminated it with a crit then proceeded to flank the bladesinger and attack. When all seemed well for Nrrack the end aproached. After failing 2 attacks the bladesinger quickly forced a MC on the gnoll who failed. Narrack rallied next turn only to find the cursed spirit dead and the bladesinger moving away. After 3 rounds of chasing and Narrack losing every initiative he was near death from 3 magic missles. He based the Bldesinger fianlly forcing a MC but after she did not fail he fell at the mighty blade singers feat.
Overall was a good game but not being able to win a initiative towards the end sealled Narracks fate. | |

Summary:
As Zippy pointed out, the absolute turning point of the game was the Fomorian criting Krawd for 90 damage. Elvira had taken some damage, a couple of the CTBs were routing but hadn't made it off the board. Then Krawd made the fateful decision to use his Armor of Sprinting and Helm of Etherealness to base Elvira. Krawd was at full health at that time, Elvira's prospects looked dim. But then the Fomorian crushed a member of Krawd's band (a Zhentarim maybe), cleaved onto Krawd with a critical hit for 90 damage, and then made his second attack on Krawd leaving the Hobgoblin a crushed smear on the dungeon floor. Forix the Skullcrusher Ogre had a chance to kill Elvira but fortunately between the potion of etherealness she had consumed and her conceal she was able to dodge his killing attack. Krawd's Lieutenants fought on bravely, but a Fomorian with a +1 Vampiric Weapon AND the Vampiric Boon with over maximum hit points is an ugly combination. Bane the Bugbear Footpad hoping to finally gain a level fell victim to two critical hits in a row by Ignavus. For brabely rushing the one-eyed horror and routing the Gauth, Grom the CTB gets a promotion to Lt. | |

Summary
Dice rolls decided this one. His azer raider failed a morale save thanks to the deathlock's cause fear and got thwacked by the bugbear footpad, giving the buggy the vampiric boon. He then charged my tiefling with the WFF and hit for 10, but missed the bugbear with the SoH.
I think I won init then and smacked the WFF for 15 with the bugbear, the SoH missing the aoo. He then critted my tiefling with the WFF, but rolled a 1 on conceal and my bacon was save. I finished off the WFF and hit the SoH for 5 with a MM. I then set up a bugbear sneak attack and rolled a 19, doing 30 damage and killing the SoH. Game over.
This was a game that the gods seemed determined not to let happen. hehe. | |
