I'm going to assume this scenerio is acceptable to everyone? If anyone has questions about it, please ask.

There are some outstanding issues. If you see any question marks in your warlords stats, or see a bold question please send an e-mail to me about it or post it here.

Im missing one magic item,

My LE warlord (Gorn) still has one use of a potion of concealment left.
I used one use during the week 28 match.

Scenario looks great!

1) Brother Grim needs a feat. I'll take Quick Cast.

2) Gharag II got his Ring of immune electricity by trading in my +1 shield of command.

3) If Takasi (CG) and Richard II (LE) are both level 7 there shouldn't be any support troops in our match.

Hey theCloakedRanger,

I'm free all day tomorrow (Monday). Alternatively, I'm free after 5 P.M. Atlantic Tuesday, or after 2 P.M. Wednesday - Friday.

Pretty much any time within those parameters works for me...

Look forward to facing you!

Kyuketsuki, I sent you an email to set up a time to play.

If Kyu and I can't get our game in by Wednesday, I'll be on vacation and AngryIrish could take my spot - you'd face level 5 Buruja and get 17 support troop points.

Should know as soon as Kyu replies.

Sure I can - Especially if I skip right over you when I'm doing the setups!

Hmm, my problem is how do I fix it. There are too many of you playing with multiple warlords of almost identical levels. And you have all played each other recently...

Hmm, I don't really want to do this but... The matchup is posted.[}:)] When do you want to play? I'm available late Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday nights after 10 PM CDT (GMT -5), Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday nights 7PM or later.

Questions about the map

assuming the "victory" areas on the map are where you score assault points, the problem is there are 3 Victory "A" areas and only 2 Victory "B" areas, is this the way its supposed to be?

(I thought maybe when you put the map together, you accidently erased the text for the third area?)

Also the sarcoughagus on the Blood rock area , how does that going to effect LoS? as its not a wall. Is it like any other obstacle so it provides ranged cover but doesnt effect sight spells, etc..

Thanks

Thats the way it is, I think A only nets one sqaure on B total though. I think the sarcoughagus is just difficult and doesnt count as a statue... but that I am not positive on.

Im out- find me on Hordelings if you want to chat.

Is there any cave setup on this map? On the Lost Temple map, I believe they allowed Scouts and Cave Setup to be placed on difficult terrain.

Yes, it is correct. Side A has 3 areas - Room in the upper left 4x4, the 3x3 greenish area to the left of the Blood Rock Altar, and the 2x2 area just under and to the left of the Blood Rock Altar. Side B has 2 areas to earn victory points - the seven squares in the upper right that have spider wrapped bodies and the 4x4 greenish sacred circle on the middle right.

To my knowledge, coffins don't provide cover at all. They just slow you down. That is the case here.

Player A can split up their warband into 2 parts. They start on the right hand side of the board in either the upper right and/or lower right rooms. Player B starts on the left in the squares from A1-B18/C16. I don't recall if the Exit squares for player B are valid starting locations. I'll try to find this out.

Valyssa should be at level 8 now. She'll take Summon Monster II as her 2nd level spell.

The game for Takasi vs tullywi should be at 250 with 25 points of support for tullywi and 13 points for assault.

I can play any night this week after 6pm Pacific except for Wednesday.

Ok, I fixed this. I still seem to have missed how you leveled up once before. Have you taken Spell Progression Levels each time? We can straighten this out when we play.

Anyway, seeing as we are going to play all night with 250+ units on the field, how about playing Friday night at 8 PM CDT (GMT-5). That should be right at your 6 PM Pacific.

Valyssa started out at Spell Progression Level 2 because she could cast 2nd level spells. She has taken 8 Spell progression levels plus one feat of Spell Mastery. She should be at Spell Progression Level 11, which I'm assuming gives her an extra level 2 spell. Friday will work, but let me know if you can play earlier this week even if it means saving the game and continuing on another day.

The game might be a little quicker since we don't have to do terrain and because it's assault. I'm thinking it shouldn't go over 3 hours.

Speaking of assault, can someone summarize the way this is handled on the Lolth map?

Merric's site has this posted on the front page.

Posted by Stephen Schubert on wizards boards:
So that everyone is on the same page (about the Fane of the Drow map to be used at GenCon):

1 - Areas marked Victory Areas (A or B) are the spaces that units can occupy for "tile points" in assault. The group that starts in Start A uses the Victory A locations, and Start B uses Victory B. Victory areas are also considered "feature tiles" for Wandering Monsters and Scouts. None of these victory areas are marked "Cave", so Cave Setup is not available on this map. Victory Areas are the entire region bounded by walls and dashed lines.

2 - A player can start in any start area marked for his side. This means that the Start A player could in fact split his forces at setup, into 2 different rooms.

3 - For the D&D miniatures game, the doors on the map are purely flavor, and are treated as open. (ignore the doors, essentially)

And the map is only 21x30 - the reference on the page is incorrect.

REPORT: Richard II (CE) vs. Old Coast (LE)

Winning Warlord: Gharag II, Tiefling Captain (Richard (CE))
BG's Warband: Tiefling (+1 shield he can't use), Eye of Gruumsh (ring of immune elec), Orc Champion, Red Samurai (ring of hide), Orc Warrior x2. Support: Kethith the Deathlock, Orc Warrior.
Warlord XP: +1000 XP & +1500 CP (4250 exp total, 6250 campaign points total)
Warlord Leveling: None
Lieutenant: 500 exp to Kethith the Deathlock (2000 exp total)
Lieutenant Leveling: +1 SPL, +5 HP, gain Commander 0. I'll post the spell later, there's a lotta good ones.
Magic Item Gained: (med) +1 Shield of Swift Fly (booo, another shield)
Magic Item Lost: None

Losing Warband: Gorn the Skullsplitter (Old Coast (LE))
Gorn's Warband: Gorn the Skullsplitter, Chraal x2, Direguard x2, Goblin Skirmisher.
Warlord XP: +250 XP & +250 CP
Warlord Leveling: none
Magic Item Gained: +1 shield
Magic Item Lost: None

Summary:

Um, I think Gorn has seriously offended the dice gods somewhere along the line. His enfeebled chraal rolled a 6 on an aoo on an orc champ (miss by 1), Gorn himself rolled a 1 on attack that woulda forced morale on the eye of gruumsh, and then Gorn lost init and failed morale by 1 (7+12=19).

Seeing the chraals, I went right for Gorn, basing him with with the Eye, Red Samurai, and Orc Champion at the end of round 2. Won init round 3, and Gorn went POP!, taking the chraals with him.

Hello Takasi, it might be too late now, but I should be able to play Tuesday night. I'd say 10 PM CDT (8 PM your time) for sure, but I might be able to play a couple hours earlier. Otherwise, I believe you said Wednesday night is out and Thursday night isn't good for me. So, it is Tuesday and/or Friday.

Hopefully, I'll see you on Tuesday night.

REPORT: Entangled_Boson vs TheCloakedRanger, PTS: 75 – 72

Winning Warlord: Boson, the Drow Wizard (entangled_boson)
Boson's Warband: Drow wizard, Ogre ravager, gnoll skeleton, warrior skeleton
Warlord XP: +500 XP & +750 CP
Warlord Leveling: None
Lieutenant: 250 exp to Grat the Ogre Ravager
Lieutenant Leveling: none
Magic Item Gained: (med) +1 armor of protection
Magic Item Lost: None

Losing Warlord: Saliqui the Bladesinger (TheCloakedRanger)
TCR's Warband: Saliqui the Bladesinger, Celestail Pegasus, Wild Elf Raider, Xeph Warrior
Warlord XP: +250 XP & +250 CP (Aravis forgot since last turn played that he should have 500 xp more, bringing him to 2000 xp)
Warlord Leveling: +1 spellcaster lvl: +5 hp, 2nd lvl spell: melf’s acid arrow
Magic Item Gained: potion of striding
Magic Item Lost: None

Summary:

Truly a weird game this one. Quickly at the start of the game each side bring minor fighters toward the center, while Aravis put his Xeph on Victory tile. This will pay him greatly in this game!

Boson and the ogre run into the center to meet the bladesinger and his celestial pegasus. Aravis win the ini, moving both in melee with the drow wizard (all aoo missed by Boson). The wizard miss is MC and never came back... I was sure to loose the game at this point, but the tide turns into my favor.
Aravis again win the ini, killing the skeleton while both pegasus and bladesinger attacks the Ogre. A new wind came and Boson win ini for the rest of the fight, killing the Pegasus in 2 rounds, cleaving on Bladesinger... Next round the Ogre CRIT on bladesinger, leaving only two minor fighters on the board.

Aravis loosed but still managed to grab 72 thanks to his Xeph warrior!

Hi TCR,

I'm afraid I was busy on Monday, but 5 P.M. my time on Wednesday works fine! (As it turns out, that's the way I read your post. [:0]) Must have been busy that day, eh?

I think that 50 pt warlords would be fun. There would be some severe balance issues I think, however it would be very, very cool. Perhaps upping the Lieutenant advancement restriction to 50 pts might be a way to integrate higher-cost lieutenants. (Thread-jack! [)])

Anyway, sorry for my slow response and I look forward to meeting you at 2 P.M. Pacific (5 P.M. eastern.)

Wild and crazy game. Walter setup first in the upper right corner, and Jareth directed his boys to the lower left then. Using searing lights and pot shots from Ulmo Jareth and the boys damaged one of the Heros and killed a MAA. finally the WFF got to point so ulmo couldnt hurt anyone else and buffing began. Ulmo took out the supper buffed WFH Grim with three sneakattacks and then a fourth from the quick strike. Rosencranzt was routed at one point, but a rally and a cure crit brought him back. He missed alot of stuff, but kept absorbing damage and getting healed by Jareth as Ulmo waltzed around killing people when he could. After an init was one where the flanked cleric of order was about to be dropped, Walter raised the white flag.
