I think Kethith the Deathlock will take Resist Energy as his bonus 2nd level spell. Although it sure is a tough choice. An invisible orc champion would be a lotta fun.

ok... you shouldn't be having 2 warlords of the same faction though, unless you're gonna retire the other one?

No Problem , Odge (CE) level 3 is hanging up his sword, he's lost one match too many, I was debating it anyway..guess that seals it.

Yes... since INT 9 it fits all the criteria..... Gonna have to add something about loosing "commander dependant" upon promotion to the rules.

EDIT: but he's gonna need a name first! =)

Hey Gal [)],

I think I'm battling AngryIrish's CG warband, rather than his LE band. Also, I presume you didn't receive the email that I sent Thursday... Just wanted to confirmi on both counts, and welcome back!

Just my 2 ep worth,

Redgar

Edit: AngryIrish, I just sent you an e-mail to set up a time; in case it gets lost in transit, after 5 PM Atlantic Wednesday to Friday works best for me...

Heya TC Ranger,
How exactly did Saliqui get an extra 250 experience? That is one of the questions I had. From what I could tell, she had 4 matches. If she won 1 of them and lost the other 3, the points match up.(1500 Campaign + (250*3)=2250 campaign points - 1000 commander experience +(250*3)=1750 total experience points.) It is quite possible you didn't lose 3 matches, they were so far back I didn't look because the numbers fit. (Sorry about that and sorry for goofying it up - Assuming it is goofed up).

I don't know man, loosing the "commander dependant" requirement really unbalances the unit at 35 points. I am sure others would agree? Without that restriction the Chraal would probably be in the mid 40 point range, (compare stats to other figs). I would think it's fine to make him an LT , but he should keep the commander dependent requirement, regardless.

Oops! I suppose I need to retire my bladesinger too. Technically, I played her once the first week I ran 3 warlords and once last week (another week I ran 3). Of course, I was using them to balance out the campaign matches. Oh well, no number 1 ranking for her I guess. Please consider her retired.

I think there's no rules change needed - the REQUIRES COMMANDER special ability takes care of itself once the Lt. reaches Level +2 and gains Commander = 0. At that point, the creature simply assigns itself as commander, fitting with all existing rules. As a level 0 and 1 Lt., the Chraal would still have the handicap.

That way there is no need to write special rules and try to remember them ([:(] Zippy has CRS)

Ah. Galneweinhaw can verify this, but you don't get anything for missing a match. The other person does get a win, but the person who failed to show up doesn't get anything. In fact, depending on the severity of not showing up, you can actually lose campaign points.

Yeah, that works at least then it has to gain 2000 as LT to gain commander 0, You put the time in with the unit
its get the bonuses. That's fair for sure.

A chrall commander would be crazy!! By the time he becomes a commander, he'll be level 11, hp 105, +12/+12 for 10+5dam. Factor in the breath weapon, the DR, the reach, and the ac and speed, and you would be hard pressed to beat it in the 50-100 point matches. And once you get into the higher levels, it just gets absurd. Pretty much the only bad thing against it would be low cmd rating, and fire attacks. i guess this is what happens when certain lts. become warlords.

...so i guess i better start bringin chralls with me to be my lts. [:D]

It's not as bad as it sounds.. it's pretty bad, granted.. but for one thing.. the chraal can't use any armor or weapons :).. so it can't use too many magic items. Also, as I'm sure most of us that have been playing since the beginning will tell you, LT's have a hard time getting exp.. so by the time the Chraal in question got to the level you mentioned, it will likely be in a band fighting at around 200 or more points. That would drop some if it got promoted to Warlord, and it would definitely be scary at that position, but keep in mind in EC you always know who you're up against, and all the factions have a pretty good array of fire-based damage :).

lol....

I'm embarrased to admit I won't be able to meet my own deadline [:I] [:(]

11:46pm now... and only about 1/4 done. I don't have to work (much) tomorrow though, so I'm giving myself an extension till noon tomorrow (PST) =D

ALOT more work than I anticipated to compile the new rules.

edit: have to add one minor non-excuse... my computer has been randomly freezing about every 5-10 minutes since I installed my new wireless card last night. My computer at work is much more reliable [)]

As stated in the Eternal Campaign Rules:

"Warlords whose opponents do not show up on the battlefield will triumph and earn 1000XP for their warlord, 1500 campaign points, and a random medium magic item, however they do not gain the 500 Lt XP. The canceling warlord will not receive any benefits."

This is assuming you notified your opponent... bailing without notifiying your opponent is a big no no and will in the new rules be cause for suspension.

That was me, versus my CE Warlord Odge, I specifically asked Tully I if could "turn down" the "auto win" as I didn't want an another forfeit.

See - Week 25 Games, page 2, about a 3rd of the way down for my post.

as points or items were never awarded. I assumed Tully took me up on my offer. And it was as if the game never happened.

So Aravis (T.C.Ranger), no points for you that week.

Yes, you build any legal 100 pt. warband that includes your warlord.

Actually, since you have a new warlord and your opponent Jai (LG) is +2 level, you should be listed at 20 support points.

20 support points means after you choose your 100 pt band, choose 20 pts. of separate creatures for free to add to your warband. The support creatures do NOT count for VP when your opponent eliminates them. Denote support creatures separately when you reveal.

The support troops will help balance the match since Jai has 4 magic items and his warlord has +2 levels.

Galweinhaw, please change their match to show 20 support pts.
