| Week 35 - King of the Hill Veliq (CG) Vs. lowlevelstatic (CE)
Queen of the Hill: Seliq's Warband Seliq the Bladesinger, Lia the Healer, Veliq the Daring Rogue, Greycloak Ranger Comnuntucko & Boo his Wolf minion with a guest appearance by Spartan the Protector Warlord Level: +1000 xp (1500 total) +1 Level +1 SPL +5HPs +Ray of Enfeeblement [] Lieutenant Exp: 500 to Veliq the Daring Rogue CP Gained: 1500 Magic Item Gained: (Maj) Robe of the Archmagi Magic Item Lost: Traded (Med) Drums of Minor Ice Resistence
Runner up: (yeah you get it [)]) lowlevelstatics band: Dai Drow Sergeant (with Fire Burst Sword), Burning Skeleton (Andrus), Zombie White Dragon, Orc Warrior x3 Dai gains 250 XP, 250 CP Magic Item Gained: (min) +1 Melee Weapon
The match:
The game began with both sides rushing to the top of the hill, and the dragon of course claiming squatters rights for the evil drow's side. Seliq seemed to be blessed as most every initiative fell her way as she anticipated the enemies moves moments before they were executed. The orcs fell first, taking only Boo the poor wolf with them. Dai became surrounded quickly as the dragon fluttered about looking for opportunities to assist in the melee. Spartan, the protector who happened to be wandering by when the battle began and quickly chose the side of good to stand beside, ran from the battlefield from a single blow, realizing he was not able to compete with the forces upon the hilltop, and was not seen again. With but a few deft dazzling moves from Seliq Dai found himself with Veliq at his back, driving a blade deep into his side. A quick arrow from Comnuntucko, who had constantly been running from the burning skeleton, finished him off, although was singed multiple times. Luckily, Lia performed her role admirably and kept everyone's spirits high as she was drained of her healing powers, before finally being eaten by the abomination resembling a dragon. Once the flaming skeleton crumbled to the ground the dragon knew this hill had been lost, and it was mere moments later that Seliq was declared the owner of this piece of land.
Bad rolls on lowlevelstatic's part and an almost unerring barrage of attacks on my end made this battle a bit one sided. The dragon couldn't even land a final mocking blow against Seliq.
Good game once again LLS! Seliq is impressed and wishes to extend an offer of an alliance, having stood in battle against this deserving foe now twice, to Dai the Drow Sergeant.

| "You've got Mail!" Announced the Pegasus as she landed
"Me!? Wow!" Exclaimed Bertha, "Oh it's something from Thom!!" She shouted as she excitedly untied the leather thongs holding the package together. "Red Boots? Very sexy! That Thom is so fashionable! Oh a note! Fire Resistance?! Yippie!" Bertha giggled, a sound not unlike a gravel cart skittering sideways down a mountain pass.
"He must have remembered how mad I was that that poor Sword Archon kept getting damaged by fire.. after I assumed he'd be okay around fire if his hands were flaming swords!!" Her voice escalated as she finished, obviously reliving the frustration of her last battle, She punctuated the last word by slamming her fist against her thick steel breastplate with a resounding THUD!
"Well anyways these boots will be fantastic! He says here he's having trouble being as sneaky as he'd like... I can't imagine how that would be useful, but I happen to have some lovely Shadow Armor that might do the trick. Hmm.. perhaps I should sweeten the deal with this potion of fireballs.. it just might come in handy if he gets in a fix. If not we could always trade back I suppose!"
To Bertha (Tkort LG): (Maj) Boots of Major Fire Resistance To Thom Waits (Aesophdarkfable CG): (Med) +1 Armor of Shadow (Hide) and (Med) Potion of Fireballs [x][]

From the rules: "Creatures eligible to receive lieutenant experience are limited to those creatures that have survived the battle without having been eliminated from the match and meet all the requirements to become a lieutenant..."
That makes it really clear, but there was something about lieut xp that kinda muddled things for me. All good now - I have 500pts of Lieut XP wasted! Hoorah!

| Jai (LG) vs. Entangled_Boson (CE)
Winning Warlord: Jai (CG) Winning Warband: Digger, Dwarf Caver (Mask Skulls, +1 Fearburst Wpn); Celestial Dire Badger, Coautl, Warforged Wizard (Ring Shadows), Hound Archon (Ring QuickStrike) Warlord XP: +1000 XP / +1500 CP Warlord Leveling: none Lieutenant: +500 XP - Warforged Wizard (now known as Tunneler) Lieutenant Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: (Med) +1 Inciting Melee Weapon Magic Item Lost: none
Losing Warlord: Entangled_Boson (CE) Losing Warband: Boson, Drow Wizard (Belt False Life), Ogre Ravager (+1 Wpn Cleave), Red Samurai (+2 Armor), Mad Slasher, Gnoll x3 Warlord XP: +250 XP / +250 CP Warlord Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: (Min) Scroll of Enlarge Magic Item Lost: none
Summary: Digger, having been beaten but not broken, found some resolve. He was not about to let some Drow control this Hill. Bah. The nerve. Knowing the fight would be tough, he called upon his gods to grant him help. His gods looked upon him and smiled, for he had served them well. They created for him a new companion, Tunneler, the Warforged Wizard. They then beseeched the surface dwelling gods to send assistance to Digger in the form of Heavenly creatures of the likes Dwarves have not seen. Creatures more fit for an above ground battle. The Couatl and Hound Archon answered their call. Moradin himself sent along the Celestial Dire Badger as proof that there still was room in the fight for Sub-Terrainian creatures.
And so, Boson and his motley crew of disgustingly cruel and evil creatures faced off against Digger and his Celestial Posse of Justice. Although he quickly dispatched the gnolls and slasher, it was an up-hill battle for Digger; no matter what he did, Boson had an answer for him. It seemed though that the Celestials' presence was too much distraction for Boson's crew, for he just couldn't seem to hold enough ground. The Hound Archon quickly hopped behind Boson, causing Boson to recall his Ogre for assistance. The Ogre would then have immense trouble killing the Archon, giving Digger's other warriors time to whittle down the Samurai so that his own leader would sacrifice him in a fireball in hopes of destroying Digger. The plan failed and the Sam was the only casualty of the action. Finally the Ogre killed the Archon and rejoined the fray, but it was too late. A final sonic orb caused the ogre to rout and as he was running off the hill, Digger added insult to injury by calling upon the Mask of Skulls to deal a devastating blow (crit) to the beast, killing it as it ran. Boson surrendered in that instant, and the Hill was safe.
Moradin smiles proudly from his forge. The clan will be pleased.
Edit: The Dice-Bot truly wants to see Boson destroyed. I had very-little chance of winning simply from viewing warbands.
Edit (again): Oh yeah, i had 30 points, he had 10 points, and it was 7th round.

Nothing missed, just wished to change my Lt Exp that was given to Veliq the Daring Rogue to 500 Exp going to Comnuntucko the Graycloak Ranger. I was a little rushed on posting this outcome and feel the Ranger is a bit more deserving seeing as how he has stuck with Seliq (didn't now the bladesigner was female at first) through all her battles, win or lose.

Summary We met in the middle with the air elemental ripping through Wild Roar and his troops with Whirlwind atk. Krusk prevoked to walk up to Edgar. He hit him hard enough to shake the Warlords nerves causing him to run. The Whirldwind finished off Wild roar and his Elf warrior, leaving Krusk all alone vs the Air elemental and a routing commander. It came down to init and edgar one. He checked to make morale and saved then the Air elemental attaked krusk causing him him route, end of battle.

| REPORT: Richard (LE) vs. Tkort (LG)
Winning Warlord: Brother Grim the Grim Necromancer, Richard (LE) BG's Warband: Grim Necromancer (Silent and still scroll of Ray of enfeeblement), Thayan Knight (+1 bleeding weapon, +1 armor of resistance, shield of duality), Efreeti x2 (one with +1 keen weapon, one with ring of pounce), Chraal (requires thayan knight commander), Green Dragon, Mindflayer Telepath. Support: Dark moon monk, Warrior skeleton x3 (one with entry gate, one with exit gate, one with shield of false life) Warlord XP: +1000 XP / +1500 CP (13250 exp, 19250 campaign points) Warlord Leveling: N/A Lieutenant: 500 XP to Soontobe the Chraal (1000 exp total) Lieutenant Leveling: +1 level, +1 attack, +10 HP Magic Item Gained: (med) +1 shield of swift flight Magic Item Lost: None
Losing Warlord: Bertha the Dwarf Sargeant, Tkort (LG) Bertha's Warband: Bertha, Couatl, Mounted Paladin, Djinni, Dwarf Artificer, Aramil, MAA Warlord XP: +250 XP / +250 CP Warlord Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: (med) +1 Armor of minor elec resistance (gain resist 10 elec) Magic Item Lost: (min) +1 weapon
Summary
Brother Grim had been recruited by a tiefling to deal with some uppity dwarf sargeant who had apparently allied with someone that the tiefling himself wanted to ally with. BG didn't really care about that, just the gold he was being payed to take care of the matter.
Brother Grim surveyed his forces, including the ever vigilant Nox, a pair of summoned efreeti, along with an ice creature that was moderately intelligent and had proven useful in the past. Not to mention his own powerful summons. Along with the usual suspects, BG had brought a new ally along, one of the unfathomable mindflayers, whose psychic abilities could serioiusly disrupt the opposing warband.
Tkort sent his Couatl and djinni onto the hill and I did the same with my Green Dragon and two efreeti. On round 2 I used my psychic screen to deprive the Djinni of the couatl's protection and managed to kill it with a pair of scorching rays, BG's ice storm, and a chraal BW. As an added bonus the chraal routed which allowed me to put some fire damage on the mounted paladin on rounds three and four.
Tkort conceeded shortly after the start of round 4. I had barely lost anything, and his dwarf artificer and coualt failed their saves against the MFT's stun cone (rolled a 2 and 1, lol). I was up 30 to nothing on hill points and his paladin would've had to hack through two efreeti, BG, and Nox in two rounds to have a chance. Not gonna happen.
Good game Tkort.
EDIT: I think they're might be a problem with BG's exp or campaign points. I'll check tomorrow.

Hehe Bertha smoked again.. although I didn't have really high hopes in a match where she had to run up a huge damn hill :). I just thought I'd clarify for everyone that I didn't have a Chraal, my Couatl routed. Stupid snakes.. why are they this devastating powerhouse for everyone else and pathetic wimpers for me?? :). Good game Rick the Two, Mindflaying my band turned an even matchup into a complete massacre, nice play :).

Craw(LG) vs Orcmonk220(LG) Winner - Merric by concession Warlord EXP - 1000xp to Merric (3250 total) Warlord Level up - +1lvl, +1atk, +10hp +warlord feat (Selective shot) Lieutenant Exp - none Magic Item Gained - +Vest of Flying Magic Item Lost - Potion of Big Stepping
Defeated - OrcMonk 220 (LG) by concession no exp Not sure how magic items acquired after concession are handled, so I rolled it during a regular game and attached the log of that portion. If this isn't kosher, I'll re-do it.
- you use d100s there?! - Do you play in the EC? - Just for magic items - nope, haven't got the time - unfortunately - Lot's of fun - The scenarios are interesting. - seems very much indeed - The mounted pally seems like a great figure. How have you fared with it? - Pally - um, pretty good so far - but i haven't faced a CHraal wb yet - The Couatl should hepl - and i don't know how it will perform vs a Beholder band - Problem with auto damage. - The Pally is death against LG bands, though - Archmage's a headache too - My band just can't scratch him - I'm going to concede so you can find another game. - you're just unlucky with your rolls today :) - Even so, my best attacker has less than a 50% chance to hit. - Rolling the d100s *** 1d100 = 77 *** - yep. nice first-turn charge we got there a while ago! - 60 points was literally overkill - That 77 gets me a wondrous item on the EC magic table. - Second roll *** 1d100 = 97 *** - great! - i'm gonna check on the other rooms for a while.... nice playing with you, Craw - cya later :) - Taking a re-roll (we get one) cause this is a musical instrument - Thanks - ok *** 1d100 = 80 *** - Vest of. . . *** 1d100 = 33 *** - Flying F8! | | Featherfall??! Winning Warlord: Sinsity the Drow Sergeant (Ring Of Hide), Kresk the Quasit, 5 Orc Warriors Warlord XP: +1000 XP / +1500 CP (1500 exp, 1500 campaign points) Warlord Leveling: +1 level, +1 attack, +10 HP Lieutenant: 500 XP to Kresk the Quasit Lieutenant Leveling: None Magic Item Gained: (maj) +1 shield of invisibilty (unlimited uses) Magic Item Lost: (med) Ring of Hide
Losing Warlord: Village Priest, 3x Caravan Guards, 2x Dalelands Militia Warlord XP: +250 XP / +250 CP Warlord Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: (min) +1 Shield Magic Item Lost: None
Summary:
The game started out with the Village Priest setting up on the left side, with the guards set up to move into the well to drink of the magical waters therein. Kresk the Quasit, having the same in mind, started in the upper right corner, also stopping at the well to partake. By the second round, the orcs and Sinsity were able to make it to the hilltop, where they stood unchallenged most of the game. The guards did make it up the hillside, but were unable to plant more then a foot on the top, until the very end. The quasit flew over the hilltop and swooped back down the other side at the beginning of round 3, where he positioned himself to force the Village Priest and one of the milita to begin running towards the exit. Both rallied before they got there, but the confusion it caused in their ranks, and the backtracking they were forced to do, kept them from ever reaching the hilltop.
In the end, with minor scuffles occuring along the way, a few orcs were killed, and the game was called at the end of round 7, when the score was declared 60-0 and Sinsity was decided to be the winner. Claiming victory for her and her team.
Good game SilentG, unfortunately the dice weren't on your side this time, but we've all had those times and I'm sure you'll have better luck during another game.

| jjbeezer (CE) v AngryIrish (LE) Clank v Kane
Edit 3... formalize results
There is no winner yet, however, Clank was well on his way to victory. I have not heard from AngryIrish since Vassal went kaput for the second time around 12:30 am on Friday morning.
1. Clank (Pot DR), Slim - Justice Archon (Armor of Invuln), Gold Champion(Armor of Striding), Couatl, Hill Dwarf Warrior (Armor of Elem Resist) 2. 1000 for Clank, 7500 total, +1 Lvl, +10 HP, Resistance Feat 3. 500 XP to Slim the Justice Archon 4. 2000 XP total +1 Lvl, +1 Att, CR 0 5. Medium +1 Weapon of Inciting 6. None
7. Kane(ring of conceal+1armor), Spectre, Direguardx2(1 with giants strength helm, one with +1armor), Imp, Gob Skirmsx2(1 with shirt of spell store) 8. 250 XP 9. 6000 XP total, no level 10. ????? needs to be rolled 11. ????? may trade in
12. Kane sent his flying creatures and one Direguard to the top of the hill imediately. Those three outnumbered the Couatl and Slim for the forces of good. Kane summoned his undead as both armies advanced. Slim and the Gold Champ ate a few magic missles in the second round.
To start round 3, the Couatl and Slim braved attacks of opportunities to fly over two sets of undead and flank Kane. The Gold Champ moved to breath on a large part of Kane's band (all failed saves). The specter took out the Dwarf, and Clank made the top of the hill.
At the end of round Kane decided to brave the attacks of the Couatl and Slim. Slim hit through the conceal. That was followed by a crit from the Couatl, a failed morale check, and another AoO from Slim that connected. Kane and his undead dissappeared in a poof of smoke.
Clank's special targeting ability removed the conceal from the imp who was hit and fled the battle. The Couatl orbed one of the Direguards, destroying it, and Slim defeated the last goblin.
When Vassal stopped working, Kane's team was the imp (who had just been hit and was about to flee), a full HP Specter, and a Direguard with 25/40 hp. Clank had himself at 75 hp, Gold Champ at 40/60 hp, full HP Couatl with 2 lvl 4 spells used, and Slim at 55/75 hp. All of the participants were at the top of the hill. Kane has the point lead 30 to 0 near the end of round 4.
I have replayed the rest of the battle many times on my own. Even if the Specter routes the Champ off the hill, the rest of Clank's band can always get the point count to 60 before the end of 10 rounds.
I have sent e-mail to AngryIrish with no response on when he could play for the rest of the week.
AI, if you read this, I will have some time free tonight. Please shoot me an e-mail. Galneweinhaw, please send me an e-mail advising me how I should proceed from here.
Edit... Uploaded the 2 log files from the game. The one listed as P2 has where we ended.
Edit 2... Rolled a medium item with Zippy as my witness. I rolled a Medium weapon of Inciting.
