Scenario: Stone Dead
ETERNAL CAMPAIGN STANDING INFO:
- Eternal Campaign Rules V2 contain a number of variations and additions over the Casual Rules and the Skirmish Campaign rules on page 111 of the Miniatures Handbook.
- Frequently Asked Questions can be found in this thread.
- New Rule Suggestions can be recommended for EC V3 in this thread.
- Log files can be viewed here and should be sorted by week #. Upload log files here, ensure the filename begins with the week number and identifies both players.
- Stats and Standing are posted here or the Eternal Campaign link at the top tight of this site. It is each players responsibility to ensure their stats have been correctly updated and to post clarifications to any ???? left by the admin
- Scenario information for the current round can be found here.
- Deadline to post the status of your matches for the week is Sunday midnight EST (GMT -5). Deadline to sign up for the new week is Sunday 4 PM EST (GMT-5). New schedules will be posted by Monday midnight (GMT -5). If you sign up late for a new week, post AND email the admin – there’s a chance you can get squeezed in to the schedule anyway.
- Alliances and everything to do with them, including creating, breaking, and trading items should be posted here
- Hall of Fame is posted here. If you think he is worthy, nominate your warlord for the Eternal Campaign Hall of Fame.
- Promote the Eternal Campaign by adding this link to your signature on maxminis, wizards, and any other board you frequent.
- Game Reports should be posted using this template or something similar
- Ethics, Forfiets and some other good tips about how to properly run your games can be found in this thread

I should be leaving town on Friday, so let's try to get this in some night during the week - sooner is better, just in case one of us misses it and we have to try again.
My wife's semester is OVER (YAY!!!), so I shouldn't have nearly as much trouble getting the computer... but it will still need to be at least 8 PM central time so I can get my kids to bed. (9 is more reliable.)

| Oh my gosh, can there be a week where I DON'T play Aravis?
Aravis and doynus, I'm available from 4:30 or 5:00 p.m. Pacific time to about 9:00 or 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night, tell me if that works for either of you. Thursday night I should be available in the early evening, like at about 5:00-5:30 p.m., and the same should be true Friday night. Monday night and Wednesday night are out, and the week-end is full of the Christmas activities and thus sketchy. Let me know guys! | |

| Darksteed, how about tonight (Monday) at 10:00 est? Silas is itching for a rematch against Irzor, who took what looked like a fiasco and came through victorious against Silas. [:)]
Robbdaman,let me know when is a good time for you to play. I'll be available tomorrow after 3:00 PM est and will then be free for rest of the week, although I may be making plans on this coming Wednesday. If you want, I may be able to play you tonight after Darksteed, assuming we do play at 10:00.

| Hey Scruffydude tonights not shaping up for me, sorry dude. I didn`t that my Grandma`s funeral would be this long. I`m still out currently and won`t be home until later. Though Tomorrow (Tuesday) at or before 5pm (PST) would be cool with me.
Voss forgot I had plans on Wednesday. What time on thrusday would be good for you? I`m good Thrusday at or before 5pm (PST).

Summary: The two squads squared off far in the distance on the lost temple of the huge @$$ minis. Trudging along G'Narly and his warriors ran as fast as they could. Brother Jonas and his Shujenga cast their holy magics to empower their warriors with much vigor and strength moving only slightly to keep sight of their enemy. Knowing they could not match the speed of the Orc Sarge and his warriors they stood firm to defend. This proved to be a good decision as they were fortified and could move faster and strike first once engaged in battle. The Militia from the Dadelands eyeing the enemy warlord took a shot though it went stray. Slowly the Orcs and Goblins moved in trying to avoid the arrows being flung their way. Finally the two armies engaged in battle and the Guardsman attacked but his spear could not find a chink in the Footpad's armor. The Orc Warrior moved in on a suicide run to defend against stray arrows and blades. Many came his way but none connected. The Sargeant moved in to hamper the Militia's arrows and cross blades with the conscript from the Dadelands. The Militia man sought to poke at the warlord with his blade causing him to bleed. The Orc Savage while ready for battle was clear on his orders to stand back and wait for an opening to be made so he could strike hard. The Fuzzy Bugbear began his assault on the poor Caravan Guard and hit solidly though the guardsman was not intimidated. He knew full well that the Shujenga of the Earth would heal him time and again as she could. Seeking revenge for the arrows shot at him and for stabbing him with his blade G'Narly struck the Militia man hard cleaving his head from his shoulders. Jonas moved in to battle the Orc Warrior though his weapon was feeling heavier than normal and he could not get a strike to land. The Orc Warrior retaliated in kind and struck a hard blow to Jonas and then struck another soon after and the Priest tried to scurry away. G'Narly called him coward and sliced him down as he tried to run. The Savage Orc then ran his spear through the Caravan Guard leaving him scarred and dying. The Shujenga thinking quick raised the white flag fearing she would be the next target. Jonas's body was returned to his church where his fellow priests would ask their god for his resurrection. For his valor he was rewarded a Ring of Minor Invulnerability. Gruumsh was so pleased with G'Narly's warriors that he bestowed a Weapon of Shock the the Orc Sergeant.
G had some really bad luck with the dice on attack rolls. Hit twice out of 8 attack rolls and it was one of his weakest guys that did hit. While my attack rolls were usually 10s or higher and on a few occasions just enough to hit. He did win about 80% of the initiatives though. Until a critical initiative roll was needed then I won. The dice were very much against him tonight.

Summary:
No time was wasted, the two warlords sent their troops headlong in and around the massive walls of the battlefield. A goblin grunt and the Xorn ripped into the Orc Champ weilding the infamous anarchic axe, but the Xorn was decapitated in a single stroke and the orcs moved up around the wall another direction, avoiding confrontation with the helmed horror and destroying the gravehound. The troops clustered in one area, with Burne and Murgo hanging back to support and command. Ignavus wasted no time spewing acid on both orc champs and the drow. The orc wielding the famed axe fled back to Burne. Caligo magic misslied the orc savage, and the 'horror flanked the drow with an azer.
The remaining orc champ ran up to assail Ignavus, and tore into the dragon with such stunning speed and force the dragon left the field without pause (took 3rd OC crit of the game and rolled 1 on MC, ow!). From there Caligo took the reigns, and his remaining crew lost both azers but mopped up the orcs. Burne had hastily run back into battle, delaying his rallied champ's return and costing him precious time.
In the end the horror (now with 115 HP) and Caligo (who lucked out on 2 conceal saves from the 35 dmg axe) ganged up on Burne, who conceded the field (at 40 hp).
Bleys and I forgot the statues darn it - battle was so fast and furious! Great game, well played by both, and lots of weird dice both for both parties. i look forward to a rematch. | |

| Constructs can't heal. I don't think the Helmed Horror should have benefited from the Vampiric Weapon's +5 HP when it hits something.
Hmm. I guess the power does say that it "gains" 5 HP, it doesn't say it heals 5 HP. Still seems kinda odd. | |

Summary: Entering into this battle, Dispair was going to level win or lose, but Dispair was hungry for a win. Dispair found his trusty gravehound Scratches and dug up another zombie for the cause. Ibex after aquiring the local services of Kobold Sorcerer entered into the Lost Temple.
Ibex begins by winning the early initiatives. Ibex manuveurs his forces around the map as Dispair summons forth some more undead to aid his cause. Ibex charges at the minotaur skeleton and his sorcerer magic missles it bringing it to half. The undead shakes off the damage and swings back at the skullsplitter after Dispair curses him for his trouble. Scratches runs around to flank him and stuns him to keep him from fleeing the scene.
Next round Dispair wins his first initiative and the game begins to tilt in his favor. Ibex falls to Scratches and the minotaur as the two zombies chase after the kobold that dodges and ducks from them. The kobold casts a defiant magic missle at Dispair as he hides behind his undead as he watches them slash the kobold to pieces.
This was a closer game than I described because Mr_Nived always had a chance of killing Dispair with his spells or making him run off the board giving him the win from just Dispair and his summoned allies. It was a good game and I look forward to a rematch in the near future Mr_Nived | |

I've had my current modem for about five months, so I wouldn't be surprised if Comcast has to come out and replace the piece of crap with a new one (that seems to be the life span of these stupid things). Summary: (Making this simple this time) I tried to avoid the Chaos Hammer as best I could by screening with my Azer. He charged my Azer and killed it with an Orc Warrior and then Hammered my Man at Arms and Gold Champ. His Cursed Spirit repeatedly based my Cleric of Order and I had to take quite a few AOOs. My Golden boys kept killing off his fodder and eventually engaged the Death Slaad. The Gold Champion hit once on the Slaad then George spanked the Slaad hard with a critical hit and the frog ran for the hills. Later failing to rally. It was fairly short work after that. The Gold Dwarf Soldier critical was key to my win. The Golden duo double teamed Tyrant and sent him running as well. Failing to rally the Cursed Spirit was left and a couple shots later that was the end. Got the Gold Champ up to AC 28, basically meaning anything but the Slaad would have needed a critical to hit. With the Adamantine Laced of his shield he would have been very tough to beat down at that point. It's an old strategy but it still works.
