Scenario: Halls of Decay
ETERNAL CAMPAIGN STANDING INFO:
- Eternal Campaign Rules V2 contain a number of variations and additions over the Casual Rules and the Skirmish Campaign rules on page 111 of the Miniatures Handbook.
- Frequently Asked Questions can be found in this thread.
- New Rule Suggestions can be recommended for EC V3 in this thread.
- Log files can be viewed here and should be sorted by week #. Upload log files here, ensure the filename begins with the week number and identifies both players.
- Stats and Standing are posted here or the Eternal Campaign link at the top tight of this site. It is each players responsibility to ensure their stats have been correctly updated and to post clarifications to any ???? left by the admin
- Scenario information for the current round can be found here.
- Deadline to post the status of your matches for the week is Sunday midnight EST (GMT -5). Deadline to sign up for the new week is Sunday 4 PM EST (GMT-5). New schedules will be posted by Monday midnight (GMT -5). If you sign up late for a new week, please post AND email the admin – there’s a chance you can get squeezed in to the schedule anyway.
- Alliances and everything to do with them, including creating, breaking, and trading items should be posted here
- Hall of Fame is posted here. If you think he is worthy, nominate your warlord for the Eternal Campaign Hall of Fame.
- Promote the Eternal Campaign by adding this link to your signature on maxminis, wizards, and any other board you frequent.
- Game Reports should be posted using this template or something similar

| Darksteed, can you play sometime during the day today? Say maybe 2 pm central time?
Otherwise I'm free all day today, Tuesday and Wednesday after about 7:30 or 8 pm central, and then pretty much anytime on Saturday or Sunday. I prefer not to play too late at night though. | |

Have we had a verdict on the decay rolls and time of winning?
If I don't hear otherwise I am going to play you alternate rolling for wounded creatures starting with the player who has the most VP (if VP tie, roll off. Highest roll starts). I will also be playing victory is the first person to reach Victory level, at what even point that is.

Summary:
The Duergars formed a staggered wall. A Cursed spirit and some orc warriors advanced but all missed the dark dwarves, one of the duergars smote a warrior but went right through the ghost on the cleave, but on the back swing was able to hurt the spirit. The other warrior was blasted by a cold orb. More orcs advanced as did the Mounted drow all missing. A duergar again killed an orc warrior, Rask ran into battle but fumbled. The two duergar followed Koivus orders and braved attacks from the spirit to get to Rask, decay was taking effect on one from a minor wound. Rask was hit by one, but the other got an idea to kill the ghost and cleave into rask, but missed the incorperal creature. Gomez finally finished it with a cold orb. Rask hit a duergar with two might shots, but he stood strong, knowing that if he ran Koivu would kill him. Koivu decided it was time to put an end to this orc, he stepped in and swung a shot dropping Rask to near morale. He won the inititive and both Rask and the Duergar ignored the decay, Koivu forced Rask to run with another mighty shot and the other Dark Dwarves finished him off. Tyrant dropped one duergar, but he knew his time had come and he couldnt stand the shots of the other, Gomez slapped him with a spell causing him to lose concentration and he took another shot but made his morale. Koivu again delivered a killing blow. From there it was two shots on the mounted drow who then turned tale and ran.

| Hey Aravis, Richard II, and robbdaman. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Sorry just had to say it. Lol. Anyways. Richard II does 2:30 pm PST (I think that`s around 4:30pm CST) today, work for you. Otherwise, I have late night on Tuesday and Thrusday after 10pm PST. Wednesday after 7pm PST. Friday after 7pm PST. Saturdays really full for me. So that probably out. And Sunday I`m pretty open until 1pm PST. Just let me know, thanks guys!

Summary: This game started off with a bang, in fact from an empowered fireball on Mandor's starting tile. His Sharn Cutthroat's quickly fled from the field as Mandor suffered fully from the blast. However, Mandor's trusty Archmage knowing such arcane matters resisted the fireball completely. Rikka then flew in to deal with them both.
The archmage then responded by quick casting both swords on Jadelin, thus beginning the countdown. Thankfully, Jadelin's healer ran up and begin healing her mistress as best as possible knowing she'd be unable to stabalize her. The Frenzied bezerker now smelling blood rushes after the Archmage, only to swing at mirror image of the devious mage.
The Archmage sent 2 empowered acid arrows into Jadelin before he went down to the bezerker finally. And Rikka and Mandor fought it out as Jadelin raced forward and sent a magic missle into Mandor for the kill.
It was a good game with a lot of a stress trying to keep Jadelin alive long enough to finish off Mandor's forces. Hope to play you again soon Bleys.

Summary:
Rosencrantz led with his Xorn, and stayed close to his golem, while Plango commanded from in the midst of his troops and led with his fast casters. Near midfield, Rosencrantz's xorn started to take sonic spellfire, while the decay of the ancient cursed ruins tugged at him too - the Xorn routed. Spiker and Golem moved up to engage Lachesis. With the spiker locked into combat, Plango threw everything he had at the fearsome foe. Several sonic orbs and Rosencrantz lost his nerve, routing out from under Plango and his 2 hired hulks.
Every Opportunity Attack struck home, and Rosencrantz along with his golem were gone. The freshly rallied Xorn decided not to face Plango's full staff alone, and the battle was over.
Great game, albeit short! Dice favored Plango a lot, and the auto-cast-damage helped out a ton in this matchup. I look forward to a rematch when we're higher level! | |

Meh, was a close one. Managed to off his commanders early thanks to his kobold sorcerer rolling a 3 on the a deadly rend save.
In the end, it doesn't feel much like a win when your commander dies, especially when he dies because you're too stupid to double check his stats and find out that he's got 120 HP and not 110 like you gave him. *sigh*

Summary:
This was Celsius's first taste of battle and it tasted good. After surveying the battlefield he advanced his troops and quickly summoned his undead followers to help keep himself protected. Both armies exchanged blows and then the Sahuagin Ranger crippled the Xendrick Champion with a mighty blow(30 dam) and later finished him off. Celsius's followers seemed impervious to cursed effects of the tomb untill the Sahuagin was brought down to his last breath late in the game. The Tiefling Captain quickly capatalized on the oppurtunity and finished off the Ranger with one swift strike. Unfortunately for the Tiefling, it was the last thing he'd do as the raised Minotaur brought down his mighty axe upon the unsuspecting Captain. If Celsius had not been close by his troops enforcing their swings, the outcome could have been completely different. | |

| Had an intetnet bubble during magic item rolling in the game with Voss. I had rolled, but I don't know if he got it on his log. I have it on my log, and I would like to keep it since it was a +1 Melee Weapon of Fire Burst (I had lost the game and trading in a potion of withdrawal).
I have the log still, what would be the ruling? Do I get to keep or have to reroll? | |

Summary:
I had not thought of the Caravan Guards, so when I saw them, I thought I was going to have trouble killing them. It turned out the Conceal saved me a few times and I had luck with some key attacks. It also helped that I had ranged attacks with the Xen`drik champ.
Overall it was a fun game that did not seem to favor one person over the other too much.

Summary:
As always, scruffydude7 is a real pleasure to play. Good natured, even when rolls don't go his way, and a good tactician.
What it boiled down to was I breath weaponed his entire warband sans Xendrik on the first turn. He rolled really badly and took full damage with almost everything. Then the steel predator fought against the inevitable and did as much damage as it could before his whole warband killed it. I took down his longstrider with it, then just sort of let decay work it's magic.
It should be noted that the dice rolls were really against scruffy in the beginning. He rolled awful. They got better in the late game, and he got a few well-timed crits, but he had an uphill battle to fight, and fought well. It was exceptionally tense, with Kevin Xornbo at the end with 5 HP left, and passing the decay check, and his Xendrik with 20 HP and based by Zarnofixus and Kevin Xornbo. Very good game man! | |

| Zippy - I dunno? Never noticed.. don't remember when I got it (the hasted weapon).. it might have been during v1 or v2.0 (before some changes were made).. or it might have been reported/recorded wrong? I think I got it on a trade in but it was quite a while ago now... I will see if I have some record of it if I get time :)
Aravis- I will have time to play Tuesday night after 7MST if that works for you: I will act as though it will work and if you can't show I'd appreciate a message, unless you don't see this before then in which case I will just wait until 7:30 and we can schedule a different time :).
