When it does not offer me the box I have found that if I unplug my modem momentarily and hit the connect, it will offer me the box. then when I replug in it will work. | |

I log on no one is on vassal at all... I don't even show up!
It is 9 pm central. I have been trying to get on for the last 20 mins. Voss, I didn't abandon you. Would love to play against you when I get this problem solved if not tonight then this week.

Summary:
an interesting game. We kinda stalked around each other without really hitting anything. I was rolling 4's and he was rolling 2's and 3's to fail conceal checks. We eventually met in a scrum, with a xendrick taking damage and Gideon dying. I was then able to win init and sanctuary the wounded Xendrick so that Guen couldn't finish him off. After guen and lidda had acted the wounded Xendrick routed Guen and then retreated out of LoS of lidda. i won the next init, healed the wounded Xendrick and set him to finish off lidda which he did.
Good game scruffydude7. no 20's were rolled on attacks this game.
Those xendricks are badass, especially in this scenario.
And how about that, Shalyn gets his first real win (the other was an opponent no showing) after a 30 or 40 week break. [:P] | |

Game Summary: I totally mis-projected LordOfAshes' warband. I predicted he would bring Tiefling Captain, Burning Skeleton, 2x Orc Warrior, 2x Abyssal Maw. I had brought the Aasimar to counter both the Conceal 6, and Sound Burst what I presumed would be a veritable horde of filler creatures (plus resist the Burning Skeleton).
...He did not bring that. After an initial gaffe where his Bugbear ran towards Tile Points (Which he took back, heh heh), he began a methodical march towards my start area. I turtled; sat back and let the AFS get in a Bless, and a Magic Weapon upon himself and the Sword of Heironeous. With all three buff-spells off, I was ready to fight, just as his army arrived.
Bugbear throws something at SoH. Rolls 19...commander effect makes it a crit! I'm loving Fearless right now. SoH backs off into a corner, heals for 10, and waits. AFS moves up, Sound Bursts the Tiefling and Bugbear Footpad. TC makes the save (no damage, no stun), Bugbear does not. Eirika comes back out next round, swings on the stunned Bugbear and routs him. Cursed Spirit and TC move in on Eirika, swing, miss...Eirika takes a slice at the TC, hits, and the Burger King appears before Skoh Loa, bellowing out "Where is your Conceal now?" TC fails a morale check, and neither of them manage to rally for the next two rounds.
After that, it was mop-up on the Cursed Spirit, and I got lucky against its Incorporeal; nailed it in two attacks. His remaining units rout off the board, we roll for MIs and I let out a huge sigh of relief; I'd taken a big, but calculated, risk in running this pair. I'm going to try my hand at posting a short story about this battle in another thread.
Don't let my lack of lost creatures fool you; I ran a pair of 'titan figures' on purpose, despite the risk of insta-kills. LordOfAshes played a good game and I was taking things seriously the whole time. | |

Summary:
This was a fun game. I set up on the left, keeping most of my units shielded from a first tune fireball, or more than four away from the Pegasus, who was not under cover. I had Rikka waylay as well. Voss set up in the lower start area. Voss was not aggressive to start, putting magic weapon on Tauroxx and moving him Tauroxx into the corner of the Sacred Circle. Some minor movements went on, and Voss had took some shots at the Pegasus I had moved up. I realized I was not going to be able to play a slow game with the Xendriks going 10 damage a shot. At the end of the round, I brought Rikka in on the Sacred Circle, and fortunately won initiate. I had Rikka fly over and attack D`ara, however made her morale save. I flew the Pegasus up, basing two of the Xendriks, but missed on his smite attack. D`ara used he ring to DD away from Rikka, and Tauroxx attacked the Pegasus and rolled a 20. [:o] I moved the Greycloak up and shot at Tauroxx, but missed. I ran the wolf up by the wall around the sacred circle to run around the next turn. Voss then had one xendrik shot at Rikka and another move and shoot the wolf. The out of command wolf routed out of the area. Cu moved down and got the Xendrik, Tauroxx and D`ara in his Breath Weapon. They all saved, and I ran Long Nu down, past a Xendrik whose AoO hit, to attack D`ara, killing her. Rikka to a couple more arrows and routed back by Cu and Long Nu took a couple arrows as well. Nothing much else happened and I won the next rounds initiative. I had Long Nu attack the Xendrik next to him and hit twice, and he routed off the board. Cu then charged the Xendrik who had routed the wolf and hit him, but he saved against Cu¡¯s poisoned blade. Tauroxx that attacked Long Nu, hitting once. Long Nu made his morale check and the Xendrik attacked Cu back, missing both times. The Greycloak hit the Xendrik once, who made his morale check, and Baldy missed again on his Mind thrust. Voss then moved his last two Xendriks to flank Long Nu, hitting with both attacks to kill him, but Long Nu¡¯s deathstrike did hit the Xendrik that killed him. I then succeeded in ralling the wolf (rolled a 20) and Rikka, ending the round. I won initiative and went first. I had Cu attack the Xendrik he was basing, needing only to hit to kill him and I rolled a 20 [:o]. I pulled Cu back and had Rikka cure wounds on herself and moved to cover from the Xendriks. | |

Summary: This game was pretty crazy. Lurch_E_bean played well, and he placed his figures well, preventing any ranged damage on round one. He might have won had the dice been less crazy. The next round, however, the insanity began.
A ranged attack from a Xen'drik resulted in a natural 20, ending the life of a full HP Duergar Champion. After a few more activations, his warband closed in, and the remaining Duergar used a quick strike to damage a Xen'drik Champion. This Duergar was far luckier than the other in his warband, as he didn't take any damage until the very end of the game, despite MANY attempts to hit him. A little damage was inflicted to the Helmed Horror which approached my warband, and the rest of this round was mostly movement and misses.
Next round, lurch_E_bean won init and killed the injured Xen'drik with his Duergar, and cleaved into Lilly, inflicting a total of 60 damage in this round. The Helmed Horror attacked the Longstrider as well, and she made her morale save, but Urthok could easily kill her with a Godly Blow, and he would be able to charge.
I figured that it would be best to at least get an attack on him, and an AoO from when he moved to kill the Longstrider, so I moved Ragnara up to him, based him, with his 24 AC and 120 HP. She attacked, using a nearly hopeless smite. 20. The mighty Urthok fell from a single blow from the weakest member of my warband.
From there, with a bunch of damage from the HEBI, Xen'driks and Silas, the Duergar, Helmed Horror and ghostly Lady Chatterley fell quickly, but not without fierce resistance.

Veldrin will become a CE warlord, and with him he will take with him only the Ioun Stone of Command and Shadow.

Summary: This was an interesting game. As the two warbands prepared, Jamros buffed his party as Dispair summoned forth many undead to protect him. Dispair had his undead guard the doors to his chamber room as the halfling ordered her troops forward to seige the undead's lair. Dispair using the magic circle to help buster his undead army, braced for the impact, hoping their weapons would be diverted by Druegar conceals.
Both monks charged and used their unavoidable strikes to slam into Gunther, wounding him severely and stunning him at a critical moment. Jamros ordering the Coutal to attack the necromancer, bite into his weak armor, but Dispairs burning hatred resisted the poison in his vains. The Helmed Horror slayed one of the monks as Jinju knocked Gunther unconscious.
Lidda then stepped out of the shadows and sent an arrow crushing the construct critically. With this turn of events, Dispair shuddered, but kept face, sending his fearless undead into certain death, only backed by his Thayan Knight. As the undead surrounded the monk and faultered, Vrax stepped up and hacked into Jinju, wounding him mortally as he fell to the ground.
The battlefield now crawling with much undead, Jamros attempted to turn, destroying one of the undead, but an axe from one of the minotaurs striked true into him. Lidda now facing unbelieveable odds, decided it was better to flee and fight another day.
