| | Zippy looks like I am having all sorts of email problems with both accounts. I have had Saturday become unavailable and in short this has become a hectic week. If I read the rules right Zarn will be eligible for 1000 xp and 1500 Campaign xp. Not eligible for lt XP and will be able to roll for one medium item. If this is correct I will try to have someone verify the roll before the week is over. If not please scream and throw things at me. | |

Summary:
Regdar received some reinforcements and support troops from the 75 point game he was planning to play. They brought the ranged attacks looking for 20s. Plango moved his band from the left side of the board to the right side under cover the whole way.
The wolf, Ialdabode, and Ember probed their defenses. The wolf and Baldy were easy kills. Ember fell to a 20 from the Gith, but the Monk was now in bowshot range.
The Monk moved up to Unavoidable Strike and kill the Graycloak. The Xorns burrowed in to battle, and the Dwarf flew off to base the Voice. The Goliath routed a Xorn 1 with one swing. This gave the Deepshadow Elf the chance to move and hit the Gold Dwarf with a 30 damage sneak attack. The Dwarf ran and did not stop till he was off the board.
Nebin hit the Monk with an acid arrow, and the Xendrick Champ moved to hit the Monk as well. The Gith failed morale by 1 and ran off the board. Another Xorn ended up next to the Goliath. Regdar urged his band on and before the Xorn could move again, the Goliath routed him (thanks to a Curse of Impending Blades from the Voice). Atropos managed to hit the Goliath, but the Deepshadow Elf struck back and followed with a Quickstrike hit, sending the thrid Xorn fleeing.
Plango began laying down the hurt as Regdar and Sara stayed away from burrow range of the Xorns that all rallied. Eventually all the Xorn fell. Regdar inched slowly forward and put a well aimed shot right between Plango's eyes for the win.
Thanks for stepping in for the game Zippy. You sure think a lot about each move. Guess that is why Plango was undefeated! Good thing we finished the game with 10 minutes left on my battery and no backup power.

Summary: Well, I broke my rule for playing against LG and brought an almost total ranged warband. With the scenerio, I just had to try the Nenytar Hunter.
This game had the best beginning. Bleys has a +6 commander rating over me. He rolls for init first and rolls a 20. Bleys says, "I win." He follows it up with, "You die." I almost fell off my chair laughing. This scenerio does say that a 20 is an automatic kill.
Afterwards, I totally fell for Bleys opening feint when I completely forgot about his Armor of Big Stepping. He left his Commander so that I could pump him full of arrows and I jumped on it. He wins init (at +6), moves one of his Justicators, and big steps to base my Nentyar Hunter and one of my Xen'Driks. Oops! I sure didn't see that coming.
I back up my hunter and take 30 damage. I also back up my based Xen'Drik and take 20 damage. My return ranged attack rolls were under 10. Bleys moves up his other units and I go for more ranged attacks. I don't think I rolled one over a 5. Unfortunately for Bleys, he puts the last 4 rolls to the screen and says, "Sheesh". As everyone knows, that is the kiss of death.
Next Round Bleys wins init and moves his Justicator. He hits my Elf Stalker for 20 damage and the Stalker promptly runs off the board. My Nentyar Hunter has some fun and fires off a couple of shots allowing my Xen'Driks to take shots too. The Hunter hits once for 15 damage and 2 of the 3 Xen'Driks hit for 20 more. I bring my Wild Elf Raider around and base the Justicator. The rest of my attacks on him were melee and the Justicator goes down.
Next round, Bleys moves up and tries to smack down one of my Xen'Driks. He misses the conceal roll. A second Justicator charges my Wild Elf Raider and rolls a 1. I have a tough decision to make. Do I move my based Xen'Drik to allow my Nentyar a chance to hit (AC was 30? otherwise) or do I attack with the Xen'Drik? I decide to attack and roll a 20. An almost full hit point Justicator bites the dust. I try to attack his other Justicator with my Wild Elf Raider and miss. Fast forward to the next round. The remaining Justicator takes an aoo from the Wild Elf Raider to attack one on my Xen'Driks. The aoo misses and the Justicator hits my Xen'Drik, but the Xen'Drik makes the MC. The Wild Elf Raider moves up and attacks the Justicator. He rolls a 20. Two of the three Justicators die from 20s. Both were at nearly full heath when they died. Ouch.

| Not only did you drain my justicators of 150 pts of life with two rolls, the worst part is that I traded in one 'lame' major magic item and received a worse major magic item. [:(]

Summary:
Well, it’s hard to be bitter when you win, but man this was a pretty stupid game..
I rolled a 20 on my first (THE first) attack roll of the game, first turn of first phase, with HEBI to take out first of four Helmed Horrors. I based G’Rak with a Thri-Kreen near the end of the first round, the AOO G’rak drew dropped him to half, and my won init in round 2 let me re-base and kill him (my second 20, although all I needed was a hit). The Thri-Kreens didn’t last much longer versus the Horrors, but my luck did. Although my non-20 attack rolls were dismal, I ended up making up for it with two more 20-kills on Horrors (once with Valius, once with an Elf Warrior of all things).
After Valius 20-killed Three of Four, and all that was left was a Horror at 35 and a Xorn not much better off.. DS understandably gave up in disgust. Not only did he not roll any 20’s at all this match, but Darksteed managed to miss a lot of easy attacks by rolling really low, many, many times on 1’s. I don’t doubt that this match would have been a bunch different if the luck wasn’t so one-sided. I even won every init, even though I couldn’t use my commander rating the first round and on terrain init due to two Disruptive TKB’s.

Summary
Osynlig fanned out his archers, knowing he could screen with wolves, use the mounted drow as a painful bait, and stay back to maintain control until melee was joined in center field. A few potshots from graycloaks did minor damage as Kevin's scnychronized crew approached. The mounted drow opened melee with a strike on one monk, and the next attack was what proved to be a fatal wolf bite on the same monk.
The other monk used his unavoidable strike, combined with aasimar's illumination, to deliver a routing blow to the mounted drow. Osynlig ran far forward, and sent his archers and backup melee in to do the same. Kevin ran up to Osynlig, failing to connect, while Osynlig moved away without injury and burnt Aasimar and the goblin twins. The Xen'Drick was embroiled with the remaining githzerai, and the three graycloaks started simply pouring arrows across all enemies, in hopes the curse of the place would douse the target's life force.
One graycloak shot Kevin Xornbo through the Xorn's tough hide and pieced its brain. The combat was over, the single remaining monk alone against overwhelming odds phased out and fled the scene.

s1n50, for the game vs. Robbdaman, it's not a default win unless you had a scheduled game and the other person did not show within a half-hour. He simply withdrew, leaving a draw. We generally have one or more spare warlords to fill in for games that can't be scheduled for whatever reason, such as this case.
If this was a roll for something else, let me know and I apologize for being dense and misunderstanding [:p]

Please Note: We had to re-make the room due to some sort of player-select issue Orcmonk (Mongrelfolk_amongst_the_Kender) had. As a result, I am uploading two logs. "55-Pegasus-vs-OrcmonkFinal" is the meat of the game, while "55-Pegasus-vs-Orcmonk" contains some initial rolls for Init.

Summary: A pretty short match, as an assault on the Wood Woad routed it off the board quickly. No 20s rolled for attacks, mitigating the silly luck factor a lot. A breath weapon blast caught the Wand Expert and Adiella, sending the latter running, leaving the Longstrider Ranger and Wand Expert mostly alone.
The battle then became a swarm of Gojiro's entire team surrounding the Longstrider and pounding away on him; didn't take long with all those flanks going. Longstrider routs, clears the board. Pegasus flies over and kicks Wand Expert to death, and that's the match.
It would seem that Activation Control does play an important role in things. Perhaps not all-important, but clearly powerful. In smaller games, if you win init, it looks like you can basically force your opponent to play his entire plan, then respond to it. This is basically what happened here.
The Wand Expert was an interesting choice, but granting Conceal 6 to a Longstrider only saved it from one attack this time around. I still think this piece has a lot of potential, just not in this scenario. | |

Summary:
This game was brutal for Tyrant and Orcmonk220. I managed to avoid a first round confusion thanks to an init win after I had set myself up for it. Round 2 saw the Mounted Drow miss a Ravager and Lareth miss an invisible Orc Savage. One Ravager smited the Mounted Drow and the other Ravager based Lareth.
Lareth put a smite onto his Ravager, but it passed morale. The payback hurt Lareth and sent him running, one square from the exit. The CS took out the Mounted Drow, and the other Ravager moved and tested Tyrant's morale. The Gith moved up to swing at Vina, but rolled a 1. Vina paid him back with a 20.
Vina picked up the init the next round. One Ravager killed Tyrant, and the other killed the Drow Fighter. With just a routing Lareth on an exit square, Orcmonk220 conceeded.
The dice were brutal to Orcmonk220 today. I got all the rolls I wanted, and he got bad rolls on his important ones. Thanks for the game, Orcmonk220! | |
